I chose Yurbban Trafalgar Hotel based on the good reviews and nothing about my stay was short of great. Including the helpful staff members ( kudos to everyone at the reception desk), very clean rooms and hotel grounds, very modern and relaxing decoration of the hotel lobby, common areas and rooms, offering help and detailed recommendations whenever I asked for, safety of the hotel area ( solo traveler here), free happy hours in the evenings ( great wine and great cheese), free portable wi-fi device that you can borrow during your stay and many more that I might be missing in here. I will not look for another place stay next time I'm in Barcelone and I recommend you do the same.

We will always recommend this hotel to all our friends and we will stay there again on our next trip. It is perfectly centrally situated to get to any/all of the main attractions. The front of house staff are professional and very helpful and friendly. The rooms are small but perfectly adequate and answer all your possible needs. The humorous notes around the hotel keep you smiling, Like the 4 minute shower challenge which cleverly makes you want to beat the goal every time. The hotel is very generous in that they offer a great wine-clock hour in the early evenings . If you include breakfast into your package, you will not be disappointed, it is really a fantastic breakfast served in the riser hotel right next door which you have reciprocity to. You can book dinner there or use their rooftop pool for a change of scenery. The rooftop pool is heavily and a much needed pleasure after a long day out in the heat. It has fantastic views over the city. It is also a complete plus as the hotel generously offers you use of the rooftop facilities for as long as you wish after your check-out the...win, win. Yurbban Trafalgar was amazing! The design of the property felt very contemporary and the staff was very hospitable at every turn. Spotless everywhere. Definitely felt more than their rating of a 3* hotel. This in part because you have access to their 4+* Passage property next door with spa and restaurant. The room could have been bigger for an extended stay, but was very comfortable nontheless and the top floor views were great. We would have opted for a room with terrace, but they were sold out so book well in advance if you want your own balcony. The roof terrace and bar were highlights of this hotel and the main reason we booked here. Views from the top were breathtaking and you could enjoy extensive views of Barcelona. The pool itself was typical for a city rooftop, more a plunge pool than lap pool, and was great for cooling down on a hot day. Only limited loungers and they occupy quickly so if you want one, go early. It would have been nice if the rooftop bar opened earlier to enjoy a cool drink while sunbathing, so bring your own refreshments if there before 4pm. The spa is worth a visit, too. Since we booked our room online we got a complimentary spa visit. Strict 30 min time slots are availible directly from the spa reseption. The restaurant at Passage was a fun hangout at wine o’clock where they served local wine and cheese daily for one hour 18.30-19.30 free of charge. Dinner there was very tasty and the service we got from our lovely Mexican born waitress was some of the best we got in BCN, but prices seemed a bit high for the area. Breakfast was also very scrumptious and included an a la carte main and a nice buffet equipt with a mimosa station among other treats. We found the location of the hotel to be convenient. A metro stop is found within 100 meters and it’s only a brisk 5 min walk to Placa Catalunya. The neighborhood had a residential feel so not super touristy. A good selection of restaurants, an art gallery right next door (Banksy exhibition during our stay), cafes, supermarkets (Lidl being the closest also next door). We asked for an iron+board to the room but received a key to their laundry room instead. The laundry room had washer/dryer, which are convenient if you want to travel light, but we found it annoying having to go all the way down to the first floor to do some ironing. All in all an amazing visit and great value for money! I would have no hesitation booking with Yurbban Trafalgar in the future!

100% perfect for all of our needs. The staff are outstanding, all so polite and will go above and beyond. Alexis on reception especially stood out and he was fantastic with our boys too.
Location is brilliant, for metro, restaurants, and lidl next door. Walkable to many sights too, please walk to the arch a 7min walk to the right of the entrance.
The hotel has a host of extras ; bike hire, portable WiFi for around the city, self service complimentary wine and cheese every evening, complimentary coffee and water available all day in the lobby and a breathtaking rooftop bar and pool. Accessible even in April, yes it was freezing but the kids gave it a try. The spa next door is also heaven as a treat. The sweets and easter eggs on reception were a welcomed daily treat too.
Breakfast is fantastic, a high standard and offers a variety of delights. Again served next door in a softly lit restaurant, with shuffleboard to keep children entertained if you have a 5 min wait for a table during busier times.
We were fortunate to have a family suite as there were 4 of us. Plenty of space (I was concerned having read other reviews), single bed for each child and huge shower. The room and hotel were spotless and tastefully decorated and furnished, room cleaned and replenished daily and the room fridge was a useful asset.
We'd highly recommend this hotel and loved the humorous signs around the hotel, a nice touch!

As someone who works in the boutique hotel industry - the hotel, staff and overall experience hit all the marks. I absolutely loved my stay and will definitely be back on my next visit to Barcelona. The design of the hotel and guest rooms were absolutely lovely with such attention to detail - every part of the hotel was well thought out. Location is central to everything. Loved the 24 hour complimentary coffee as well as the happy hour each evening. Roof top pool and deck was just superb morning and evenings. I actually borrowed a bicycle and also a wifi/internet charger on a day trip which was so convenient. The ability to wash clothes if you are traveling a little longer was such a plus. Lastly, a very important part of the guest experience is the staff and a big THANK YOU for delivering such great service with warmth, friendliness and professionalism. We had a great 4 night stay Yurbban Trafalgar recently. We booked a double room with a balcony which was spacious enough and had everything we needed (room 801). The bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together but it meant we had more room and was very comfortable, we had a great night's sleep. The only gripe with the room was that the bathroom door was glass with no lock and it didn't really close properly, but there was a clean public toilet with a lock on our floor so it wasn't a problem.
The Location is great, we either walked everywhere or jumped on the metro at Urquinaona which was one street away.
The wine and cheese hour is brilliant, both wine and cheese is very tasty and such a nice touch. We didn't book breakfast initially but decided to have breakfast at the hotel on our last day. Breakfast was a little on the pricey side, however the food was very good and there was so much choice.
Service was great, our room was cleaned each day and they refilled our room with water bottles. We had an evening flight on departure so the hotel was more than happy to store our bags for us after checkout whilst we made the most of our last day.
All in all, we loved our stay and we would definitely stay with Yurbban Trafalgar in future.

My fiancé and I bookended our trip to Europe this summer with stays at the Yurbban Trafalgar Hotel, both the end of June and again in mid-July. We had previously stayed here in the summer of 2018 and 2019. Five years since our last stay, the Yurbban Trafalgar was just as incredible and even had some nice updates since our last visit that we appreciated!
First of all, the staff are so nice and incredibly helpful. Upon check-in, they walked us through all the amenities of the hotel, including breakfast, wine o'clock, and the rooftop pool hours. They also helped call taxis for us whenever we needed them. When our flight from Barcelona to Florence was cancelled, we worked with the front desk to reserve an extra night at the hotel. Since we hadn't left for the airport when the flight was cancelled, they let us stay in our room until the new room we booked was ready (even though it was passed the checkout time) and even brought the key for the new room up to us so we didn't have to go to the lobby to get it! This was much appreciated, given the stress we were under to reschedule our flight and all of our related travel plans.
The rooms that we stayed in were small, but still had enough room for all of our luggage. We ended up staying in 3 different room layouts during our time there this summer (Yurbban Double for the start and end of our trip and then the Yurbban Double with Terrace for the extra night we stayed due to the cancelled flight). We liked all the rooms, but definitely enjoyed the Yurbban Double with Terrace. The terrace was a nice area to relax.
In terms of amenities, when we stayed back in 2018 and 2019 anyone could access the pool and bar area regardless of if they were staying at the hotel, so it was always crowded upstairs. Now they have a sign when you're walking to the pool that states that only hotel guests can use that area. It was a lot easier to grab layout chairs and enjoy the pool this time around! We were also happy to learn that the hotel still had wine o'clock! We definitely enjoyed the complimentary glasses of local wines for an hour each night! For our stays we also paid for breakfast included - this is so worth it. Since our last stay in 2019, I can't tell you how many times we reminisced about the breakfast spread at the Yurbban and it was just as good as we remembered. You now have to walk to their sister hotel nextdoor for breakfast, but it is a really nice atmosphere. We loved the pan con tomate station, local meats and cheeses, fresh juices, and large spread of fruits, yogurts, and baked goods. They will also make eggs any way for you and serve cappuccinos and other coffees complimentary. It's the best.
Finally, the location of the hotel was perfect. It is walking distance to our favorite restaurants in Barcelona and also walking distance to many sites and shopping. We highly recommend staying at the Yurbban Trafalgar! We plan to stay here again for our future travels.
