The decor of this budget hotel is fairly basic, as you might expect. The bed was, oddly, a double bed with a children's bunk on top of it, reached by a ladder. It was fairly quiet, with some stomping from above before midnight, but then nothing. There was a fairly good window blocking noise from outside (it was a ground floor room). The A/C was also nice and quiet. The bed was comfortable, once you got past the ladder, but it's easy to hit your head on it and it obstructs the view of the (small) TV, which is not pointed properly towards the bed.

The shower cubicle is wide, but pointlessly so, because the shower isn't powerful enough to reach very far. You can also easily turn off the water with your bottom, which I hate. There were some spots of mould on the ceiling, and the fan doesn't work - two possibly not unrelated facts.

The breakfast was good, with lots of options.

Soundproofing: 4/5
Breakfast: 4/5
Bed: 2.5/5
Bath/shower: 2.5/5
Friendliness: 3/5

Desayuno: 4/5
Cama: 2.5/5
Bañera/Ducha: 2.5/5
Trato: 3/5

Spent 2 night there. Very nice hotel, room simple and clean. Very good breakfast. 10-15 minutes walk to the old town and 25 minutes walk to bus/train. I was worried before I booked that will be to far but was fine. If I will go again to Girona I am sure that I will stay in Ibis again

Very good value for the money, the size of the room okay, the staff very friendly. Spent just 1 night because of business travel. Although I came with my dog it was absolutely no problem. I could recommend the hotel!

Put up in this hotel due to flight cancellation by Ryanair. In the middle of an industrial estate . Room needed a refurb. Bed not comfy at all. Overlooking brick wall/windows far from pleasant . Communal areas bright and clean . Basically I would say a workman’s motel .

Service was fine and the room was clean. Ibis takes the definition of "budget" to new (low) levels One switch controlled ALL lights! So it's a challenge if someone wants to sleep while the other reads. No furniture except the bed made of concrete. Regular Ibis' are fine but my wife and I will never stay a budget Ibis again.

We stayed here for a two night stay (weekend) in December. Clean hotel and room although it smelled a little bit....Nice location within walking distance to the center, about 15-20 min. A Supermarket is about 5-10 min and also a good cafe-bar-restaurant near by. Very good breakfast with almost everything you might need. Overall a Good stay!!

Overall, it was very good... affordable price, pretty close from the city center (approx 20 mins walking), safe area and very calm. We payed for breakfast around 4 euros each and was pretty big! They also kept our luggage after checkout. Very kind hostess!

Typical Ibis Budget hotel. Room is very big and shower is roomy as well. The A/C is not freezing cold, which is a con when the outside is burning hot. The shower drain is slow. Hot water is super hot! WiFi is fast. Price is 47 Euro per night. It's about 20 minute walk to famous Cathedral and Old Town Center. Recommend just leave your car parked at hotel and walk. There is no parking for free near the Old Town. At least you can park free at side walk of hotel.

Pretty basic room but cleaned daily. Bed comfortable and shower good size. Couple of points to be aware of, no drawers/unit for underwear, socks etc. and towels very small (maybe take your own). Otherwise no complaints. 15 minutes from old town. When you come out the hotel go left and stick on pavement, go past Girim restaurant and keep football pitches on your right. At bottom of Hill you come to a are park (Konig restaurant on your left), go straight across the car park cross the road to the circle. You'll see the bingo on your right, the bridge is beside it. It leads to the park, follow the path facing you, the old town is on your left.

Hi, I can't really help much as we usually drive to all the hotels. It's not a bad walk to town from the Ibis though. It's a lovely town and downhill on the way there!! I tend to find buses are a bit hit and miss, whilst taxis and trains are quite reasonable. You should be able to get to Barcelona on the train in about 1 hour but I'm not sure about the airport. If you are time limited, you may be better getting a taxi. The city tour "hop on and off" bus in Barcelona is worth using if you're not sure where you want to go.

How secure is the parking at this Hotel?
Answer from ach26
29 contributions17 helpful votes
It is secured with a barrier and I felt is was quite safe. There is a small area at the front and then a larger one around the back of the Ibis Hotel. Ibis Budget is at the opposite side to the carpark, though this isn't a problem.
