We stayed in a ‘Safari Lodge’ November 2023, and enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfy and clean and the ‘lodge’ (more tent with a double bed in it) felt very new. It also comes with a heater which is great for the cold nights. However the room was extremely dark at night, as it only has 2 small lamps and 1 exterior, making it hard to see during night time. The Only downsides of the site itself is it can be a bit noisy from planes/trains passing throughout the night. As well as this, there was several bright lights which shine into the tents, making it quite light inside. The bathrooms + showers were exceptionally clean however.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here outside of the peak summer season, as when we arrived at 4pm on a Tuesday we found everything on the site was shut, (including the restaurant + shop). The pools were advertised as shut, but we weren’t made aware of this before we arrived, however they did open up on some other days for very limited hours.

The site is advertised as a 15 minute walk from the beach, however this is more like a 45 minute walk which leads to a small pebble beach, not the main Sitges beach as you’d expect. I don’t recommend this walk in the night as it is completely pitch black and passes through fields + underpasses.

Another thing to bear in mind is that it’s a good location for Sitges, but if you plan on travelling to Barcelona via public transport, your only option is a bus which costs €4.50 each way and runs 1-2 times an hour. Walking from the accommodation into Sitges or anywhere else is impossible, as it’s located off of one of the highways which doesn’t have any pavements.

All together though, the site was extremely clean, had helpful and friendly security + staff, and was great value for the price we payed. Just a shame about the public transport, the bright lights, and access to/from the site.

A bonus is there is a large population of cats who are very friendly :)

It was our first time at the camping. Friends advised us to go there so we did. From the first moment we had a very warm welcome from Anne, a Dutch girl that works there and knows her languages but also can tell you beautiful places to visit or where to eat! Later we met Ferran who also works at the reception and also he is so amazingly kind. We had a problem with our electricity and the maintenance guys came right away to help us. They didn't speak a lot of English but they all did it with a smile. They only thing we didn't like was the very small swimming pool, they have a new one on the map but it's not there yet, with so many people in the weekend it's pretty hectic. The restaurant prices, beside the menu of the day, are a bit pricey so we preferred to eat in sitges. We definitely will come back here. Thank you team of Garrofer and specifically Anne and Ferran!

We visited the site at the beginning of October for a long weekend (3 nights). The site is charming, and the lodges have everything you would need. There are pots, pans, plates, and cutlery. You are also given a small parcel containing washing up liquid, a dish sponge, and extra bin liner.

Our lodge was 2 rooms, and a living space separated by sliding doors. The 'master' and the other room had a bunk bed as well as a separate single, so perfect for us and 3 children. The lodge was spotless, and sheets were clean. Towels are provided, but you need to bring your own beach towels. Although a bit chilly, the pool area was definitely the highlight for the kids. It was still open, and I think it stays open until the end of October. There is also a BBQ area, which we used, and a playground for the kids, including a football pitch! We ate at the onsite restaurant on the first night, and the food was lovely. I would definitely recommend the site and visiting Stiges.

Stayed in the Eurocamp area of the site. The cabins were clean air conditioned units with a large decked area. There’s a lot of flowers and trees around the site giving it a natural feel.

John was incredibly helpful, letting us know recommend eateries etc.

All the facilities were clean and the some of them were being upgraded to fresher newer things.

The new pool complex is great for kids of just lounging by the pool. A bar appeared to have opened when we were leaving.

There’s a gate at the back of the park which gives you access to walks with the beach (about 10mins) and Sitges (around 40mins) which you need to get a pass to access from the reception. Biggest issue is that this is locked at 9pm but Sitges is very much still open so you can find yourself racing back to beat the gate.

Wonderful place though and I’d definitely return

We went there as a family of four, towards the end of Octobe 2022. We had a mobile home Azure with air-con, which was needed during our stay. It was hot, hot! A great stay, peaceful and quiet, but interrupted by the arrival of 25 Spanish families on our last night. The children were soooo loud. Security allowed them to roam where they wanted. The bus stop outside is very convenient and bus services are regular and reliable, but the bus fares were never the same, even for the same journeys. The on site shop is poorly stocked and expensive, so be prepared! The apartments come with a basic welcome pack, but it would have been good to get a small bottle of washing up liquid. It's a waste to buy a big one from the shop. The onsite restaurant is pricey, but the food was good on a couple of occasions we were there. The back access to the beaches in Sitges is useful. A lovely town! We stayed at the Eurocamp area if the park, and can imagine the site very busy in high season with lack of privacy, but that's why we chose an October half term break. We didn't have a car, so relied on busses, which were fine. Our flight to Barcelona was delayed so we were late for the coach, but luckily the coach outside the terminal was also late. These run every hour to Sitges. Overall, a very pleasant stay (the pools were still open at the weekend), but we can imagine the site being very noisy in the summer.

Visited here end of August to 8 September. Campsite was very busy when we arrived but become a lot more chilled from 1 September.
Stayed in Eurocamp home which was fine and not too far from swimming pool .
The swimming pool was lovely and site was clean. The pool bar not too expensive
Staff at campsite were all friendly and helpful
Easy to catch bus into Sitges and Barcelona from outside campsite.
Although there is a restaurant in the campsite we preferred the Ohana restaurant just a shirt walk in the next campsite.
Surrounding area is quiet and walk to beach took about 15 mins in the heat. Beaches are great and as mentioned before you can either walk it catch the tourist train into Sitges.

My experience at Camping Garrofer has been rather unfortunate. Unreasonable fees have been charged for camping pitches, which are actually parking spaces or tiny shared spaces, disproportionately affecting foreigners and transient travellers who may not have the time, energy or resources to seek alternatives. Knowing that they are unlikely to return to El Garrofer, the campsite doesn't care.

The management has also violated the maximum occupancy limits for both the campsite and the swimming pool, raising concerns about safety and hygiene. Bathrooms are often dirty and shower heads are sometimes missing. Occasionally the water runs cold, but when someone flushes the toilet, scalding hot water comes out. The campsite is constantly noisy due to activities at the pool. This summer there was a particular (kind of) counsellor who used a toy-like loudspeaker microphone and wouldn't let anyone rest.

They have also invited some travel bloggers and influencers to visit the facilities and stay for a few days in nice bungalows to generate positive reviews to counteract the negative opinions on the internet.

In addition to these issues, the campsite has taken actions that have had a negative impact on the families that used to camp here the whole season. Evicting people without notice and demanding payment in advance without a contract is not a fair way to treat guests.

Overall, my impression is that Camping Garrofer does not prioritise the well-being of its guests, but rather seems to focus on profit. The lack of transparency and unequal treatment of campers is also worrying.

If you have alternatives, I would strongly recommend exploring them instead of staying at this camping site in Sitges.

Campsite had a rustic feel to it, small but had charm. lacked animation for kids. more locals than tourists here. pool was always clean and well kept. Eurocamps host was very helpful and couldn't fault the accommodation. Pool very busy and crowded at times. No Atm on site, restaurant very expensive and no food suitable for kids and had to go to nearby campsite for restaurant. beach was 25mins walk away.Sitges is a beautiful town and really safe beach there for kids as enclosed. Extremely Loud music coming from a nearby hotel/resort was unbearable, music started at 11.30 at night and felt like a rave was going on on our door step. This would go on till 3am most nights of the week. Eurocamps host said July and August is party time in Sitges and nothing he could do obviously as was from nearby resort/hotel. We would not return for this reason as would like a night's sleep while on holidays! No lighting on play area around sports facilities in evening..
Overall kids enjoyed it but too noisy at night.

Great site, brilliant location just outside of the main area, but easily manged to get to town and the beach, the site is loud till late 12:30, and Friday nights are very busy, small kids sleeping would be an issue.
Power and postion were great, i would say review your pitch and make sure you have shade!! it is very hot as there is no grass, and the ground heats up.

Services are good, toilets and showers were okay, they provide toilet paper, but not in the cubicle, we took our own. they were clean, but old.

Pool is great, slides were a hit with the kids and me as a big kid,,, the pool bar is the best bar on the site, great evenings had.

We booked a large wooden house for the children to experience. Upon our arrival we were informed that they could not give it to us and would give us another accommodation. .. A classic bungalow, smaller, and without the equipment that were included the other accommodation, and after the change, which they decided, they still made us pay for the big accommodation!
No support at the reception, where I had to return 4 times to get all the necessary material for the campsite (bracelets for the pool, keys for the enter with car, etc..). Also the bungalow we were given was not so cleaned.
