We were amazed by the location of this hotel, just next door to the famous cathedral. The building is fantastically maintained as it probably was hundreds of years ago, still, redone into a luxurious five star experience. Everything in the hotel is of highest quality but the most thrilling part is the building itself with rooms taking you back in...

This "Hostal", now a Parador, is one of the grandest hotels in Spain. Located on the main square right next to the world-famous Cathedral de Santiago, this 15th-16th c. building is a marvel of architecture. Beautifully restored and maintained, it how houses one of the very best hotels. The public rooms are genuinely grand both in proportions and appointments. The...

I loved this Parador! The history of the building is so interesting, it is very beautiful and you cannot beat the location! It is right in the courtyard of the cathedral, right where the pilgrims all arrive. The restaurant downstairs is fantastic, A+! Rooms are small (typical of Europe) but clean, warm and well appointed. Make sure to ask for...

A visit to Santiago was topped off by staying in the magnificent parador in the main square in Santiago. You feel as if transported to a time long gone with its old world splendour inside the hotel, and if you're lucky enough (as we were) to have a room looking out onto the main square and Cathedral then you're in...
