We stayed here for one night. It is a few minutes walk to the cathedral & there are lots of good dining places within 300 yards. The staff is very friendly & we had no problem communicating altho we knew only a few Spanish words. The room we stayed in was really tight. We had 2 full 32L backpacks &...

We chose this hotel because it is on an easy walking distance from the centre of Santiago de Compostela. Having just completed 10 days of hiking along the Camino we were glad to be able to stay in a hotel with private rooms. Having a room on the street side is certainly going to be more noisy with all the...

This place is located at an amazing spot, within walking distance everywhere. The rooms are very old fashion, however very clean and comfortable . There is a bar downstairs and a living room, so this can be noisy specially for the rooms at the beginning of the corridor. The place needs a good make up session and leave the '70s...

Only a couple of minutes walk from the city centre with loads of bars and restaurants in the area - it was, for us, in the perfect location. The rooms are simply furnished, clean and great value for money. The staff very friendly and helpful and I will definitely stay there again.

Stayed here after completing the Camino de Santiago, during which we experienced a wide range of accomodations. Rooms and baths are threadbare but clean. Hostal is located on a busy street next to a car park; several rooms are over a bar which is very loud until 3-4am nightly. When we inquired about moving to a quieter room, the host...

Lonely Planet reviews this as "great value with good sized recently decorated rooms" but having just stayed here this could not be more contradictory. My room which was supposed to have a double bed had two singles and looked like it had been decorated and furnished from the op shop! It was dreary depressing and stuffy and the bathroom was...

The hotel is run by their owners and they are so kind! Excellent people, they make you feel at home. Rooms are simple but very clean, quiet and they have a lot of light. Location is very good as well, just 5 min walk from Santiago cathedral.

We have just returned from spending 3 nights at this hostal in Santiago de C (plus 2 nights in A Coruna). The weather was very damp (even for Galacia) but this hostal was a ray of sunshine. We paid just over €120 for three nights which even at the current exchange rate is excellent value. The exterior is not very...

I have stayed in Santiago previously at the AC Palacio Del Carmen which was a little out of town for my liking. As this time I was travelling with a friend who wanted to be close to the bars and restaurants I looked for cheaper accomodation. We certainly found that at just over 100 Euros for three nights. The location...
