My husband and I got sick with a respiratory virus and decided to cut short our vacation to Spain, so we returned to the Madrid airport to try to change our flight. Our airline was closed, so we searched for a hotel room close to the airport. Hotel Nuevo Boston looked ok at a good price, so we booked a room and took a cab (a mistake - it costs 20 Euro minimum and the hotel has a shuttle that would have picked us up). We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel, despite its quasi-industrial surroundings. It is a conference hotel, clean, quite well appointed, with excellent staff. When we were unable to change our flight and sought to stay longer we discovered that room rates vary widely. Staff were very helpful in giving us the best rate possible. It's not the best location for visiting museums, etc. in central Madrid as taxis into town cost around 25 Euros. Staff will order a fixed rate car service or taxi. We recommend fixed-rate, as taxi rates can vary widely. One clipped us for 40 Euros (and also shortchanged the hotel their commission), and the staff worked hard to get us a refund from the cab company. The breakfast was ample and good value if purchased with the room, but the 20 Euro dinners (open at 7 or 8 p.m.) are nothing to write home about. When we decided not to eat before flying out we asked to have our breakfast removed from our bill, which was done without question.

We booked this specifically because of the airport shuttle. We called after getting our bags and it came 25-30 minutes after we called. The driver didn’t show us where the entrance was and left us on the busy street so cars came right by and we walked towards the employee entrance until another guest pointed us in the right direction.

Check-in was fine. We were hungry and tired after flying 13 hours and ordered delivery, but they didn’t let the delivery person come to the room so we had to go to the lobby to pick it up.

We later ordered room service and it was very expensive for some basic food that wasn’t very good.

The room itself was nice and clean, but we picked it for the twin beds (two friends traveling together) and they were touching, which we found weird considering who wants to sleep that close to someone in a separate bed?

The next morning check out was quick and the shuttle was ready at 8am as ordered the night before and the driver helped with our bags.

Special thanks to front desk stuff especially Yara if not mistaken. Clean hotel and room, as soon as walking in the room smells yummy I very pleasant odor that didn’t want to go anywhere.:). Only issue is there’s no USB charger at the room had to buy one for 15 euros. No big deal as the front desk tried to save me money by charging my phone at no cost. The driver from the airport was super nice, even I came in the middle of the Classico game but he picked me up with a smile, am a soccer big fan if it was me that had to pick up someone from the airport at that time I would be pissed. But he wasn’t and made the trip twice to pick me up since I was delayed at customs.
Overall I will definitely stay there transiting Madrid of for my vacation in 2 months. 5 star hotel with a one star price :)))))👍👍👍👍

Great overnight in Madrid near the airport. Breakfast was a little pricey but they did have a lot of stuff except for vegetables....! The room has mounted body wash/hand soap. No shampoo etc., but did have a disposable razor and small tube of save gel.

Very disappointed in this property. Super dirty floors, mold in the showers, musty dirty air feel in the rooms. Terrible beds. The bathrooms are updated nicely but there was tons of mold in the shower which if you can't even properly clean what's there wide open for everyone to see I doubt anything else is being cleaned properly. I would never stay there again even if it were free.

By the way, we complained about the mold and they switched us to a new room that had slightly less mold but I was too tired to ask for another room so I dealt with it.

Very nice room and excellent service. The bathroom and bedroom were very spacious and some toiletries were offered for free (toothbrush/ razor/ comb). The free shuttle to the airport was very quick and the service excellent. All in all this is the perfect place to get a nights sleep before or after a flight.

Clearly few people stay here for more than a night, but it is a reliable place near the airport to stay for that night

The charming people at Ryanair moved our flight by a day, and I had to find an overnight stop near the airport. This fills the bill, it is only a few minutes by shuttle bus from the terminals

The shuttle bus operates 24 hours and the drivers are very pleasant. . You phone once you have cleared your luggage on arrival. You book your return bus when you get to the hotel. Count on waiting 20 to 30 minutes for the bus

There was a certain communication problem when I phoned for the bus to the hotel. My Spanish is passable but basic, but the hotel operator took no prisoners, and it was difficult to be sure where the bus would pick us up, and how long it would take. He apparently spoke no English

A bit of the same on arrival with language. Who am I to complain, this is Spain, but also it is a hotel at the International Airport

Given the low cost of the room, I was not expect anything deluxe, but I was pleasantly surprised as to how nice the room was. Clean, bright, airy

Note to hotel, the light shades in room 340 need changing, as they are threadbare and full of holes.

Full marks on value for money. I would certainly stay there again

Typically, we only give five stars to hotels that are absolutely the finest. Occasionally, five stars are merited because the hotel (although a tier down in luxury from the Four Seasons) fits perfectly in the category we were looking for. After two weeks touring Spain, we wanted a hotel close to the airport with shuttle service for our early morning flight back to the U.S. Hotel Nuevo Boston exceeded our expectations. The large, modern hotel has a contemporary design, a beautiful lobby, and a comfortable (and while we were there, quiet) restaurant. The ride to the airport on the hotel's 20-person van took about 15 minutes. The room was large and the room rate incredibly modest.

Criticisms? The toiletries were those pump bottles screwed to the bathroom walls. The shuttle leaves only once an hour (not a problem for us; be sure to ask at the front desk to reserve your spot). And the "matrimonial" bed in our room was two smaller beds pushed together. Overall, the hotel was a wonderful place to wind down before flying back to the States.

Spent the night before our early departure here. After reading recent reviews and the hotel’s somewhat defensive responses, I wondered what we would find. Well, we found that the hotel's only response to reviewer concerns is a defensive reply.!

Our room was pretty, the bed comfortable, WiFi & AC worked, and hot water was good. All expected of a 4 star hotel. But it ended there.

There was no kettle for coffee/tea (forgot again??), no bathroom amenities, just wall dispensers for hand soap and bath gel. When I asked reception for shampoo (as a defensive reply suggested) I was told the bath gel was also shampoo! Towels were old and starting to fray. No glasses for water, but a defensive reply noted 2 glasses were in the mini bar: I was in luck! Interestingly, a laminated paper above mini-bar noted prices and indicated it was refreshed daily (I guess restocking the minibar is important)!

Being an airport hotel we needed to use the free shuttle. Shuttle runs on the hour; we needed the 7am. Breakfast however, begins at 7. At check-in we were told they would have coffee and some breads for us a little before 7, but breakfast hostess said “no”. Not even coffee - and since they “forgot” to put a kettle in our room we could not even make coffee (guess I should have asked reception for a kettle when we checked in!)

We had dinner in the dining room and had no complaints.

Overall as many other reviews have noted it’s NOT a 4 star hotel! We will NOT choose to stay there next time.

As you will have read in other comments, we have amenities products at the 24-hour reception as well as a kettle service on request at no additional cost. Regarding the problem of their express breakfast, I do not know what happened, however I can understand that if I had the bus booked at 07am and they came down very tightly on time, my partner would tell them if they wanted to have breakfast or go to the airport, our service is punctual and not expects understanding the urgency and need of all customers to take their flight. It is a shame that you think that our responses are defensive, because as you will see, we defend ourselves from unjustified attacks and we accept our mistakes, they help us to improve. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. the room wasspacious and tidy. It was cleaned and the towels were changed every day. I was really surprised how quiet it was : I did not hear any noise neither from the street nor from the neighbouring rooms. There was no kettle in the room, but they explained that by the COVID-19 restrictions. The food in the restaurant was good and the waiters were very nice. When one of them could not explain something in English they immediately found another member of the staff who spoke good English and the problem was solved. I liked the buffey for breakfast! There was enough food and it was various.
The airport transfer was perfect: on time, very polite and helpful driver. Thank you!

"The hotel is mostly disconnected from transportation to the city. You only get ONE shuttle ride to the airport. Shopping center 20 min away."
