I have been there and I loved it every single time. I also have friends that stood at Barcelo and everybody was really happy with everything: room, hotel, food, services etc. Check their offers because you might get a really good deal. Great job, Barcelo!

The hotel is very nice, a new one, clean, with tasty breakfast. Inside the hotel you will finde familiar atmosfere provided by great staff. 5 min walk to metro station- Gregorio Maranon (10 and 7 line). The bad thing is the room that haven't carpet on the floor, if you exepect that in 5* hotels.

I've been throughout the world and stayed at many 4-5 star hotels. This is a very prettily appointed hotel, brand new or beautifully renovated, modern, stylish and well situated hotel which could pass as a boutique hotel. The rooms are very well equipped, the bathroom was super modern and very comfortable. The staff gracious. Alba at the front desk was...

The staff is amazing. Every single staff member was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location is the perfect location within walking distance to many nice restaurants and bars. The hotel is quiet, safe and comfortable for my family.

Service is excellent and the staff very attentive. Definitely coming back. It is not in the center but very close to shopping area and restaurants. Although it looks sophisticated they were patient with our children specially our young daughter.

We stayed just one night to catch our flight to go back to US. Location is a little away from everything, however the metro station is across the street. The room is very updated, clean, comfortable beds, pillow menu, lots of amenities.

Everything you could ask for cleanliness it is like new. Staff friendly, courteous, very professional, good walk to get to the central attractions, but underground trains just 200 mts away just a couple of stops and you are in the vibrate city with shops, street music, street entertainers, and the famous sites. Advantages for the hotel it is on the edge...

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
