Perfect area, everything is located nearby. Close to culture and shopping streets. Good breakfast. Clean room. Big bed. Big bathroom. Great stuff that was very serviceminded. Feelt luxury. Had a nightclub as a neighbour. I had window to the street and heard a small noice from the club during saturday night. But the noice was not loud and I slept...

Spent three nights in this hotel this week and unfortunately did not get one good night's sleep. The street noise is incredible! The hotel is gorgeous, the staff are so helpful and the water pressure in the shower is amazing. But unfortunately the street outside, which looks deceptively quiet is far from quiet. With landings open to the lobby internal...

A very nice hotel in a very good central location. Within a couple of minutes walk of the Puerta Del Sol and the associated Metro and Renfe station there. Well equipped and clean room. Breakfast equally as good with a nice range of options. Would recommend

Excellent location, nice rooms , very friendly and gentle personnel . We booked a room without breakfast , so we don't have an opinion about the food . Outside the hotel I recommend without any doubt YAKITORO restaurant . It's close to the hotel

I spent 4 days there and I enjoyed it as it is a stone's away from the shopping area and Puerta de Sol. The staff was polite and helpful (ask them to book tables for you as staff in venues in the city don't speak English ). Breakfast is rich and plentiful. My room 209 and the bed was very...

Near Gran Via, Callao, shopping area, Sol, Major Square, restaurants and marquets, in a quiet street inside a very exciting and moving quarter. Downtown and old Madrid. Refurbished location, real 4* hotel, new installations, 4th floor beautiful own small terrace. Good breakfast and pretty rooms and common area.

Good location within walking distance to all the tourist sites. The rooms are very clean and welcoming. Our room was nex t to an air conditioning unit that wasn't ideal but didn't cause us any problems. The hotel staff were very helpful and professional, the breakfast was very good with a gluten free option when requested. The hotel has a...

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
