I stayed in the Adler back in November. It was not the first time I stayed there, I was a happy returning customer. But when I tried to book a room again in December I discovered, to my surprise, the Adler had been closed down for good. Apparently a rich family from Chile bought the entire building and will start...

Arrived around 8pm, the staff wasn't welcoming. The room was already paid in advance. They asked that I give a credit card, while I said I wouldn't use the minibar. I show them my debit card and they weren't happy with it as they wanted a Credit card. I then said I don't have any credit card. They tell me...

While slightly old world charm everything about this hotel was classy and well executed. My room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful, even in English. This is not a modern flash hotel, but exudes charm and style and a great place for anyone in Madrid to enjoy the city.

I had reserved several months prior to arrival and upon check in were given a room in the attic with a window that's eight feet above the floor where you could not see out. Complained and was told that they were fully booked but gave us another room the next day. This was an inconvenience, since we could not unpack...

Thank you for taking your time in writing these comment about your stay at the Adler. Attic romos are in great demand. They are not worse rooms. Sorry if we could not move to another room the same day. Nowadays we are renovating the whole hotel. We hope that if you decide to stay again with us you will have...

Stayed just one night on a business trip to Madrid. The hotel is situated in a central location, but there was some traffic noise in the room as a result. Room and bed very comfortable and staff pleasant.

Thank you for taking a few minutes in expressing your opinion about the Adler Hotel. The Adler location is perfect as you say, in the heart of the Salamanca quarter full of nice restaurants, fancy and smart shops and the main museums reachable even on foot. It is true that Goya and Velázquez streets are very busy and with a...

The exterior of the building is lovely, but we did not feel this hotel provided the 5 star quality or experience as rated. To begin, we were greeted by a very kind door man, but the man at the reception did not provide a warm welcome. While he was on hold on the phone he was trying to ask our...

Five-star hotel with an excellent location in downtown Madrid, friendly and very professional staff and very nice building. Even tough the hotel maintains 5-star standards, some renovations are definitely needed. The shower is one of the most critical aspects, where they have an old bathtub with a shower that produces a single jet, pressure is great but it is all...

Our location is perfect as you remark. Thank you for your excellent opinion about our staff. It is very important for us. The Adler was inaugurated on December 2000. We are actually refurbishing all the rooms to fix the small defects after these years. We take note of your advices and recommendations. We prefer to use traditional keys (not magnetics)...

Great location in the 'Mayfair' of Madrid - because it was a weekend in mid August the hotel was pretty empty and we got great service but also the restaurant was shut for the summer. However there is great Cafe e Te coffee shop right opposite the hotel

The Adler location, as you mark, is perfect to move around the city. It is close to the main commercial area, from the most trendy restaurants and the most important museums. Our restaurant remains opened in August with an exclusive service only for hotel guests. It is true that we keep exceptionally a shorter menu but we are ready and...

i will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and will definitely return to this hotel on my next visit to Madrid. Very convenient and within route of Hop ON/OFF Madrid Bus Tour. Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
