Beautiful, classic building, near Santo Domingo Plaza, Gran Vía, San Miguel Mercado, and many other places to visit. The front desk service is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast option was good - they offer all types of foods (pastries, meats, cheeses, fruit, beverages). The room had double doors and automatic window shades so it was quiet and dark when needed, bath towels are huge and freshened every day, complimentary mini bar, lots of USB ports and outlets. The decor is modern and light throughout the hotel. Overall, the value is good and would definitely return.

We spent three nights here. Our room was over an enclosed courtyard which made it nice and quiet. The paseo goes past the hotel’s entrance, we went out each night for tapas and drinks, and enjoyed the people watching. The breakfast, which is not included in the room fee, had a nice array of traditional Spanish foods and was fresh and delicious. We would stay at this hotel again.

A beautiful hotel very well located in the centre of Madrid, very good metro access
and less than 30 mins walk from the main Atocha Rail Station. Super clean throughout. Friendly staff, easy check in. Room on fourth floor with 2 small balconies overlooking street. Very comfy large bed and quality bedding. Electric blinds completely block out both sound and morning light. Simple and effective air conditioning, free safety deposit box, free mini bar, replenished daily, with 5 x small bottles of fizzy drinks, 2 bottles of water, 2 fruit juice and 2 small beers. Very good sized bathroom with modern walk in shower and good selection of toiletries and nice large, soft towels. Super efficient room servicing. Breakfast served in the top quality hotel restaurant. With COVID there is no buffet however menu has excellent choice and quality food made fresh to order. Staff are impeccably turned out and breakfast is a great experience in itself. We booked on the hotel site on their summer promotion and you would be very hard pressed to find a city centre hotel that offers better value for money. Indeed I don’t think it would be possible. Amazing 3 nights in a vibrant city. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you to all at the Preciados!

Ideal location squared securely within walking distance of the buzzing energy of Madrid. Avenida preciados is a wide pedestrian cobblestone street with scores of cafes, restaurants, shops. Room was spotless, nice and quiet, wonderful staff. Cafe varela attached to the lobby has a cozy bar and restaurant with a nice menu selection. We had a nightcap and chatted with the bartender before turning in from a busy day.
Slightly disappointed in our “premier room” which was small and nothing like the website photos. Did have a small balcony but no seating area as the photos depicted.
I would recommend overall and would stay there again.

We stayed in one of the penthouse terrace rooms, and while the room was large and nice, the cleanliness left a little be desired (dust in corners, hair on towels). There are also intense metal shutters which do a lovely job blocking out both the light and the noise. The noteworthy issue was the shower, it was lacking in every possible way (and there wasn't a bathtub alternative). Poor water pressure, didn't get warmer than lukewarm, and continued to fluctuate between lukewarm and cold every 30 seconds. When it was brought to their attention the hotel was unable to rectify the situation.

My family and I came to Madrid for the wedding of our niece. We are not fluent in Spanish (English only). The staff was very kind and helpful, the rooms were cleaned daily, the free minibar was restocked every day, and the blackout louvers in the windows in the rooms helped us to get to sleep quickly and take naps during the day. We had a wonderful time in Madrid, this hotel played a major part of our experience. Even the bar/restaurant was very accommodating and provided fantastic service.

I loved everything about this hotel, from location steps away from Puerta del Sol. Free minibar, and they refill what you consume the next day. Little details in the room like USB adapters you can use instead of using an adapter for EU outlets. A bidet in the bathroom, modern tea/coffee maker, iron was already in the room so no need to request for one. Pillows were abundant and luxurious, bed was comfortable. Breakfast included with the room. Service is excellent from the maid cleaning the room, to the front office checking you in, special mention to Bon, Filipino front desk clerk was very welcoming. They even gave free champagne and 12 grapes, a Spanish custom, to their guests. Really thoughtful and classy. This will be my go to next time I'm in Madrid. 5 stars!

Hotel Preciados Madrid is an excellent location to visit the historic district.
Our 7 night stay was very comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was a great convenience. We should have booked the room to include the breakfast, since finding a meal outside of the hotel before our scheduled tours was very difficult.
The room had excellent air conditioning and blackout shutters that made sleeping-in easy.
I would stay here again.

Price is very high, but room is an ordinary three stars. Not much place, bathroom without window. Some small details that show they make economy on stupid things: only one shower soap and shampoo for two persons and four nights. Breakfast is good, but again not unforgettable. Waiters in the breakfast room were very nice and kind. Restaurant also incredibly expensive. For the same price probably you can get better.

I am remiss on writing this review of our favorite hotel in Madrid. We stayed here for the third time in early September 2019. I have a feeling the hotel staff remembered us because when we arrived at check-in time they asked if we'd like to wait for one of their new rooms. It would only be a half hour or so. Well, sure!! It turned out to be a bit longer but it was definitely worth the wait! It was room 504 and wow, what a nice room! It had a terrace where we relaxed, a nice large bathroom with skylight and comfy beds. We're thinking of returning to Madrid this September as well and I sure hope we can have the same room. The restaurant on the main floor, Cafe Varela, is absolutely wonderful. The food is fabulous and the service is impeccable. Special thanks to our waiter Miguel for treating us so nicely. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've ever had. I continue to highly recommend this great hotel. I'm definitely going to stay here again and again. Thanks to all the great staff. You guys rock!!
