Stayed here 3 nights on a city break. Deluxe room booked and was sufficient however not exactly "Deluxe" There was no Tea/Coffee facilities in the room although our booking listed this, furthermore the view was hardly what could be called "City View". To compensate we received free coffees in the reception area. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the... More

Great hotel. Good location, close to all tourists areas and walks from the train and transit system. Was there for two night for business. Rooms are great and spacious. Would definitely stay there again.

Room with terrace. Loved being able to open windows and get fresh air and walk outside. Could hear neighboring rooms occasionally. Fantastic central location. Yes you can hear the road, but considering it is the central city it was really quiet.

The hotel has a good location, in the city center, close to El Prado Museum, Thyssen Museum, restaurants, Flamenco and other sights. Also close to Gran Via and Plaza del Sol, which is supposed to be the very center of Madrid. The Hotel has been renovated, but the rooms are small, but clean. I would stay again and would recommend.

Comfortable hotel in good location. Staff very polite and helpful. Although hotel is 5 mins walk from busy Puerta del Sol it is very quiet in a side street off main road. Hotel modern looking. Did not have breakfast at hotel as many local cafes nearby which seemed a cheaper option.

The hotel had all the amenities that you would need to feel comfortable and relax. The front desk had great insight and was able to convert the double bed into one large bed. The hotel design was modern and clean. For a short notice booking, this was a perfect hotel for a short romantic get-a-way!

Top location just 2 min walking from Madrid city center (sol). The hotel looks like recently refurbished and we have booked it several times. The workers are really friendly and helpful. Also we do recommend the restaurant. The only thing to improve is a little bit more of variety on the breakfast.

The hotel is nice and clean. From here you can reach all important museums in walking distance. There are a lot of restaurants and Tapas bars nearby. The breakfast in the hotel is excellent. And the service at the desk is very friendly

The Hotel is located very close to beautiful places to visit (museums, parks, squares), I did not use any means of transport to move in the city. The staff is genuine polite and my stay was really pleasant. My fried potatoes once were pretty awful, like 5 times fried, but it did not bother me because everything else was perfect.

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
