The hotel is convenient and satisfactory for an overnight stay for flights at Madrid airport. It is a walkable distance to both the airport and to Barajas metro station (that can be used to go to the airport and into the city). The ventilation controls worked to cool the room. A downside was the mattress was noticeably hard. Also, the free WiFi did not have working signal within the room although it did in the hallway and at the door to the room. The room had a minibar style fridge, that was empty. Shower gel was provided in a wall mounted dispenser. The staff at reception exhibited a pleasant demeanour.

Needed a place to sleep before my plane left early in the morning. The hotel is close to the airport which is nice. But the carpet and the back of the bed had thick layers of dust. Not recommended for people with allergies. There were also some traces of previous guests. At least it’s not expensive.

This hotel is good for what it is. A place to stay near the airport. We arrived late and left early between connecting flights. The beds were comfortable and the room spacious. 10 mins in taxi from airport. The only down side was the aircon could only blow out hot air. This didn't help sleep.

Swooned at the beautiful spanish atmosphere and style. Huge rooms and bathroom. Beautiful fittings and furniture. Delighted to find this gem of a bygone era in a funky area close to Madrid airport. Enjoy this while you can as Spain is knocking so much of their beautiful older accomdation down for garish highrise.

We have a long layover in our flight from Thailand to Morocco, so decide to rest in an hotel close by, I google it and find this litthe place.
For a few nights, or at least for us 1 night was just perfect, chep, comfy, clean, old fashion hotel, big room and bathrooms, lady in front desk very helpful too.
We take public transportation from Barajas airport (subway) to the station near this place, in Barajas town, and from there we walk maybe 15 min tops with our luggages, place was small this little town, and picturesque streets, we find the way in rome2rio, and works great. Also a few blocks is a square with good restaurants.

We arrived in Madrid at around 10pm and were so glad we had booked this hotel, which is only a 7-10 minute bus ride away (3 euros for 2 of us) from the airport. The restaurant was closed for renovations but that was ok as the pretty little square nearby had a number of cafe/restaurants that were open and serving food - cocktails were only 4 - 5 euros!
The hotel was clean and comfortable - and staff were friendly and helpful - perfect for a short stay.
It would benefit the hotel if they published information about where to catch the local bus (101) from the airport terminals. We did struggle to find it.

We stayed in this hotel both arriving and departing Madrid as it is near the airport. We found it clean, comfortable, efficient and very well priced. The staff were friendly and helpful, directing us to the bus to the airport. The hotel is only 5 minutes' walk from a local bus (costing 1 euro 50 - use cash, notes no larger than 5 euros) to the airport. Exiting the hotel turn left and walk to the next intersection; one more block brings you to Plaza de los Hermanos Falco y Alvarez Toledo (a good place to get dinner etc). Cross the plaza; on the other side but directly opposite the point at which Avenida General joins the plaza, you will see a bus stop for bus 101. From 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. this bus goes every 18 to 23 minutes (a bit less frequently before 7 a.m. and after 8 p.m.); the destination displayed is "Cangillada". The terminus of bus 101 is actually on the plaza; the arriving bus (destination "Barrajas") waits around the corner until the scheduled departure time. It takes 15 minutes to reach the airport, stopping first at Terminal 3, then 2, then 1.
To take the bus on arriving at Madrid airport: there is a bus stop outside each terminal for bus 101 (the sign will say "Barrajas). It will bring you to the terminus at Plaza de los Hermanos Falco y Alvarez Toledo. Walk around the perimeter of the plaza looking for Avenida General. Walk down the Avenida on the right-hand side one block; the hotel is the first door in the second block.

The room was comfortable and big enough. Downsides, no breakfast and WIFI only available in the lobby. There are cafes open at breakfast time in the nearby square. Easy to get to from the airport. To get the bus from the airport you need the bus stop at level 1 where the bus 101 goes towards Barajas. Don't do what we did and pick up the 101 at level 0 near arrivals, since this goes in the wrong direction. The bus stops at the nearby square and this is also where you can pick up the return bus to the airport

As I was coming from Brussels with a bad experience in the Chaochow Palace hotel which ask me 100€ for one night without breakfast, I decided to book on line for the Don Louis in Madrid. So I didn't had problems about the price. 37€ for one night is quite good for a couple. There is a lot of hotels near the airport but all more far and quite more expensive. If you need an hotel near the airport is probably because you would want to be sure not to miss your plane especially if your plane departure is early in the morning or late in the night when the transports are rare. So this is the ideal solution. We arrived the day before and we took our time to explore the ways to go to the airport in the simples way. We discover that just 200m from the hotel there is a square where all the busses stops. It was easy to find that the bus Nr.101 wad the one which was going directly to the airport for 1€50 cents. Certainly it's only 5 minutes but if you take a taxi it will cost 20€. This information has been given to us by the staff at the reception desk and if you know that there is a bus every 20 minutes, it's very easy to plan your departure even if you miss your bus. The airport of Madrid is a little complicated to reach without knowing which terminal is the good one for you but you can find frequently the number of the terminal in your ticket reservation. On the other hand, every terminal can be reached from inside or outside the airport after 10 minutes of walk.
So, for me, you have to take in mind that the transport facilities has to go with the hôtel that you choose and the Don Luis is for me the real good one. The rooms are wide and recently decorated in a modern bus enough cosy way. No noises from neighbours or from the street if you keep the window closed. Certainly you will discover that the TV has the volume blocked sow low that it will be difficult to hear but are you really need TV if you can use your computer free? The owner who likes to decorate the hotel with horses did his choice since some travelers were complaining about the noise of the neighbours and for us it was not a problem. In the same square Falco and Alvarez de Toledo you can find 4 restaurants and in the avenida General near the hotel Don Luis, there is plenty of shops to buy fruits at a very cheap price and anything else. I really advice this hotel. The quality of the beds is excellent, extra quality of sheets and mattresses and fridge for drinks at your disposal. Excellent bathroom with soap and towels but not shampoo.

I had a 15hour layover before boarding a connecting flight from Madrid airport and needed a place to catch some z's.
I was worried at first as to whether I could leave the airport or needed a visa and I did try to contact the hotel, airport and my company I booked the flights with however when I landed, I asked customer service desk and they assured me it was ok.

This place was ideal:
reasonably priced (€42 for 1 night)
And Great location from the airport - get the no. 8 metro and its only 1 stop away and a 7-10 min walk from the station.

It wasn't booked for comfort as the decor is dated and I've never slept on a rectangular pillow before but it was very clean
(although I did share the room with an unwanted mosquito who took great pleasure biting my face)

Their is always someone on reception 24hrs a day and they were very friendly and helpful.

Airport Tip:
As the hotel is close to the airport, it didn't take any longer than 30mins for me to get their however Madrid's airport is HUGE so allow an hour in total for travelling internationally as it took a further 30mins to reach my flight gate.
