This place doesn't even deserve one star as it was terrible. We visited Madrid and decided to stay here. We got a room by the road which was very loud so we couldn't sleep well. The mattress and pillow were very uncomfortable, the bathroom's pipes leaked and the floor got very hot when using hot water. The internet was expensive...

It's better to stay at home than live in the hotel like like this. The receptionist is a kind of retard... Together with cockroaches, old matrases and really poor room cleaning made my visit unforgettable. The most exciting experience was when the cleaning lady woke us up in the morning to tell us that we shouldn't have complained to the...

Basic studio with fantastic location. The staff are friendly and the location is perfect, within easy reach of the Metro. Great prices in comparison to other hotels nearby. Plus, Madrid is a city to be out and about! The apartment was great to just drop on the bed and be ready for the next day. The shower worked fine and...

We (my wife, our 7-year-old daughter and I) went just before Easter for 3 nights in April 2014: it was about 30 degrees. So, we cannot comment on the heating. The main museums (Prado, Royal Museum of Fine Arts, etc.) are within 1 mile distance from the hotel. We just walked everywhere. Hotel is clean, room service is every day....

This place seriously needs to be renovated. There was no heat, the room looks old and crusty, the blankets were as old as it gets and the hallways were just creepy. You have to pay for wifi and the staff wasn't very friendly. No one spoke any English there it was hard to tell them my toilet seat was broken...

What a dump, dirty, unclean, I doubt our room had seen a dusting for a month. The bed was gone, the sheets needed chucking away, generally one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. You could hear everything from the street so you couldn't get much sleep either. Expensive for what you get as well. the plus side...

Stayed here for 2 months for a training. First sight gave me a feeling that its old and needs attention. But as I said since I was there for 2 months, may be I got used to it. I wouldnt say staff are rude. My experience was that some are rude and the rest are really friendly. For eg. Atleast...

Staying in Chamberi

Neighbourhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
