Friendly efficient staff. Supior delux room was in fact supior delux; spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great comfy king size bed and comfortable sitting area and chairs. Bath was very spacious with both shower tub and very spacious separate shower stall as well. Complementary snacks in lobby from 5pM to midnight. The snack food was so so, but hey, the price... More

We stayed here for a few days in November, and it was perfect! The location is ideal for wandering around the city and easily within walking distance of the Prado and Thyssen museums. The staff were great, super helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. A great choice!

I was impressed by the hotel and I would look no further than Catalonia Las Cortes when booking a stay in Madrid. The staff are professional, helpful and friendly. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well presented, details like a built in universal phone charger are a nice thoughtful addition. The complementary buffet is very good and continually stocked and... Employees are Very professionnal Location is easily accessible from the rail station My room had lots of space and was very quiet. I liked a lot the free lunch that was offered every day from 1 PM to midnight This hotel is very close to the center of Madrid I strongly recommend it.

We spent 3 nights and 4 days at this hotel. The hotel is just wonderful. Located in the heart of the city, you have all the main tourist attraction within a 1.5km radius. The room was very clean. The bed was HUGE, I've never seen a bed that big, and very comfortable. The service was always impeccable, and everyone was... More

Stayed here for a week in November. The rooms are comfortable and spacious enough. Bathrooms are very good. The charm of this hotel is due to the hardworking staff and their positive attitude to customer service. They are friendly and helpful. Augustini and Esther worked very hard to pre book tickets for us to The Alhambra. We really enjoyed our... More

Seriously, nothing is too much trouble for these guys! I stay here most times when in Madrid and have no complaints. The rooms are luxurious, clean and modern. The staff are polite, helpful and generally lovely. The food is plentiful, even a little buffet in the evening. Can be a little tricky to find, a couple of my taxi drivers... More

We had a work event that was at this restaurant. One of the partners of our firm had been here before and while in the city for a business trip we came here for dinner and some talks about our project. The resultant has a nice setting and we were greeted promptly and the service was nice. They have a... More

Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
