My friend and I stayed in the hostel over a weekend and absolutely loved our stay there. We felt like home thanks to the friendly and helpful staff, and enjoyed our visit to gorgeous Madrid even more. Rooms were clean and cozy, interior looks fantastic and breakfast was great!
Chueca is a vibrant neighbourhood with lots of bars and restaurants, and a walk away from the city centre. Will definitely stay here again when in town!

Excellent location, clean rooms and very friendly staff. Cllose tio the city centre, although a bit lioud at night. If you are looking for a nice place to stay, this is the place for you. The restaurant is the best part of it, offering great Spanish and modern cousine and a tasty one as well.

I'm someone who values cleanliness, and that being said this hostel is spotless. The rooms and private bathrooms were very clean with new appliances. The location of this hostel is central and in a good spot for going out at night and touring during the day. It is about a 5min. walk to the nearest metro. Lastly, the interior is beautifully decorated and their on-site restaurant serves delicious food.

We were a group of 20 students and needed a kitchen to eat, we planned to cook ourselves a simple dinner every night. Despite the description, they have no kitchen and they didn't do anything to find another solution for us (except for telling us that their manager was going to come and fix the situation, which never happened within a week).
We couldn't even get into the "microwave's room" because it was privatized every night.

Despite our small budget, each of us had to buy food in town every night and find a place to eat.

Last but not least, you have to take your shower in the middle of the night or the day to get hot water. Because of a common hot water system for all rooms of the hostel, showers were cold in the morning and in the evening.

To avoid.

Unfortenately, the location of the inn is the major and only positive point of my stay. Every journey can be made on foot.
Now, let's talk about their misleading publicity.
Indeed, the description mentions a "communal kitchen". But do not expect any hotplates or oven. The only amenity is a microwave stucked between two shelves. I went to this hostel with 19 of my friends and we had to eat outside for a whole week.
We were supposed to see the manager according to the staff to find an agreement but he or she never showed up.
Furthermore, most of the time the "comunal kitchen" was unavailable for no reason and we can't even use the microwave to heat up our food.
Then, if you like to shower with hot water you will be disappointed too.
7 nights and only lukewarm (if lucky) or cold water.
Finally, for the cost of the week, the breakfast is rustic

Súper cool and fresh hostel,
great location to explore Madrid! I would highly recommend it, if there were not two essentials problems.

We knew we could not expect the same service as a hotel: but in our today modern days, a somehow ok bed mattress is easy to find
and not expensive.

In our room, it seems the bed is a replacement or an emergency bed, (maybe of a broken bed).
Noisy at any movement you do, and really not comfy being two on this mattress.

Also the smell is quiet
disturbing - it smells rotten as if the pipe system has not been cleaned for a while.

I hope for the other rooms it isn't the same, so don't book room 44, although it has a cool view to the lively street.

I am sorry I have to write this average review. This hostel would not deserve this.

Good central location. We were not affected by noise at all although our room was not on a lower floor. Two key cards provided. Interesting artwork throughout the establishment. An amazing atrium in the centre of the building with great lighting. Basic shower and washing facilities but overall adequate. Clean. Check out at noon was helpful. For economy it worked.

Awful this place... bedbugs, the fight with guest, disgusting!! Don't even consider to stay here. The girl, who calls herself 'the manager' doesn't know to spell the word hostel, customer or service. AVOID!!!!!

Cannot speak highly enough about my recent stay at this beautiful hostel. The staff were uber friendly and multilingual and no request was too much. We stayed in a double room and it had its own small balconies overlooking the Main Street. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, fresh and comfortable. Power shower, separate we and wash basin with nice funny murals made the room 'just perfect' for our short stay. Take a bow everybody in Room007 - highly recommended 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃

Overall, this experience wasn't very good. The facility itself was nice- the rooms were clean and there were free linens and towels (but you did have to press a button in the shower every three seconds in order to keep the water running). Our chief complaint was that we payed for a four person room and then were placed in a six person room. When we told the staff about this issue they were unwilling to change our room and only offered free breakfast (only worth 3 euros). On top off that, the staff was not helpful in making suggestions for activities in Madrid.

Are there safes in rooms?
Answer from Pantuso
Jaisalmer, India14 contributions17 helpful votes
Well, it's a hostel, so people you don't really know will be walking in and out of the room all the time. Having said that, I felt really safe while staying there, there are lockers in the room, they are quite big, one can fit almost everything in there. Got be honest with you, I don't really remember, but I think there was a safe inside the lockers.
