Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Like a telly series - classic Benidorm 😆
C5 really need to film on this site, it's exactly what you'd expect on a site full of ex pats. This isn't negative, they were mainly a very friendly lot (our neighbours were veteran visitors and really helpful) but it does very much feel like it's "their" site.
Facilities are good, clean loos and showers with plenty of loo roll (never guaranteed on a site)
Staff were friendly, in particular the bar manager Sophie/Sofia? who is very professional and welcoming.
The pool area is excellent for a site and the bar serves 3 beers which all taste the same and come with a frothy head (ahem) but, on a hot day, who cares?
Supermarket is poor but there's a Lidl down the road and very cheap fuel.
In short, if you love people watching on a well equipped site then go for it!

Accommodation ok but lacking basics like can opener and sharp knives and we had a lot of chipped bowls and plates. The campsite is clean and pleasant with a good pool. A car is really needed though as it is not near the village or a supermarket. The campsite staff were great but unfortunately the couple employed by vacances soleil are rude, arrogant, lazy and unhelpful. They were also aggressive when we had two issues. For this reason I would not return there with this company while they remain employed.

This is my second review of this campsite, during this extended visit, the site was taken over by a British company before this takeover the previous management had neglected a number of the maintainance issues and the site has gone down in standard. The new ownership have started to put some of these day to day issues right BUT there are a lot more major problems to sort, i.e. Water, sewage, hot water, toilet and shower block standards,TV reception. We had considered making a commitment for a more permanent holiday base on the site but have witnessed a justified mistrust in the new ownership this is detrimental to the atmosphere we had previously experienced so we have differed this indefinitely.
They are trying to implement some practices which are legal on Park home sites in the U.K and was giving us great cause for concern. We will wait and see what happens.

We have just got back from a fantastic holiday in camping Almafra!
Me, my partner and 2 children had the most wonderful time.
Welcomed each day by attentive staff.. and smiles all round.
The food is very reasonably price and excellent quality with a good variety to chose from.
The entertainment is absolutely brilliant from Kareoke to hypnotists -never laughed so much!
The pool is extremely clean and well kept.. has slides and a park for the children..
The gymnasium has everything you need and also has class running most days of all sorts.. for those who like that :)
Had my hair done by the on site hairdresser who provided a fantastic service.

People are very friendly- this place is suited for family’s old and young.. cannot fault it.

A walk to close towns and 15 mins taxi costing €8 to benidorm!

The campsite is home from home and more.
Overall had a fantastic experience and will definitely be booking again very soon to go back!

Stayed Christmas/New Year 2019/20. Booking price seemed very competitive but sting in the tail. At the end of stay charged high tariff for electricty (62 euros) . Apparently different people can be charged different tariffs for the same electricity with some only being charged 9 euros for the same period, when using the same electricity. Really unfair and underhand. The charge for staying is not transparent at the outset with this hidden extra charge. We complained but site not changing their pricing policy intimating that charging this way keeps their prices competitive when folk book. Folk think getting good deal but beware they cant be trusted.
Very underhand and immorally wrong.

Almafra is a 5 star rated camping site only because of it's amenities. Been going to their restaurant for almost 3 weekends out of 4 spending roughly €1500 a year for the past 3 years. For the last 3 months I have had to send food back to the kitchens for being cold, under cooked, items missing from the servings, waiting up to 45 minutes to be served when only 2 couples in the restaurant, and the head chief cooking food with his sex pistols t shirt and jeans, yes almafra you may be a 5 star camping site, but in my eyes you are only a 2 star kitchen.

Just got home from a fabulous week with my family. We stayed in one of the 2 bed bungalows.
The accommodation was lovely, clean, comfy beds, all the amenities you could need.
The site is immaculate, staff fabulous. Pool great, bar and entertainment great. Really good for children of all ages. My children are 9&10 and they have had the time of their lives! Made loads of friends.
Short taxi journey into Benidorm centre (€12) We went in to the old town, LOADS of bars and restaurants, the beaches are beautifully clean. We went in to the old town which is beautifully Spanish, we’ve had a ball.
Will definitely be returning to Camp Almafrá.
A HUGE thanks to Tom who kept my children and all the rest of the gang entertained. Sophie was a star also. Food fabulous! See you all soon!
Love Susan, Helen, Oliver and Mia ❤️

Luxury bungalow was a standard cabin. TV was intermittent with channels, AC was nice and the mattress in double room was nice. Bed base was cheap metal frame not attached to the floor. Room around the bed was minimal so you had to climb on bed from bottom of bed, hence why it should have been fixed to the floor. That's the good bits!
ANTS, ANTS, ANTS! I know we are in Spain, we live here, and expected 1 or two. Sink crawling with ants, ants in the shower room and in the lounge. Not exaggerating but probably at least 3 to 400 ants in total in the Cabin. We bought our own ant powder as needed them gone. Only on last day of 4 days, noticed they were gone (dead).
Pool area had building work so no slide for kids on a park or in to the pool. We were not told about this even though we had booked since late February. NO correspondence at all. I have sent 2 emails regarding my complaint and heard nothing. That is why I have resorted to a bad review. Kids entertainment was non existent and the family entertainment manager, must be doing it for free, because he wouldn't get paid from me.
We got recommended this camp site. We will not recommend it as it should not be a 4 star campsite.
Very very poor customer service except 2 maybe 3 members of staff both on reception and bar.

We live in Alfaz del pi which is in the area of the campsite . We went for karaoke is was good for a while put a request in waited for about 30 minutes . He said it was the last song and couldn't put any more songs on from clients. But continued to sing another 3 or 4 songs . Being a client was very disappointed with this as could have put the song instead of continuing singing the songs. The presenter sang about 10 songs where the clients should have been singing instead of the host. Very disappointed, wont be returning. Good host but should have gave clients chance to sing instead himself singing

The pool (if that's what you call it) as it's more a kids paddling pool. Poor ablutions, noisy, too many dogs barking, mixed in with semi-permanent residents that causes confrontation, and management a joke! My opinion opinion choose another campsite as there are plenty around Benidorm much better!
