Magnificent sea views from your room. Sit out on the terrace, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the romantic Mediterranean sunsets. The Poniente Beach area of Benidorm is the quieter part, but it is still close to the historic old town and only 850 metres from the town centre, with it's shops, restaurants, bars and discos.

We stayed here for 10 nights in July. Our requests for rooms next to one another was recognised and we paid E25 for later check out to 6pm.

We were on 11/F, the air conditioning wasn't very effective, but the hotel sent their maintenance repair man to try to fix the issue. It helped marginally.

The restaurant food is replenished and fresh. Not always hot, but a wide variety to suit most tastes with show cooking at both lunch and dinner. The restaurant staff work very hard, and are friendly and efficient. We opted for the drinks package with meals which included beer, wine, water and soft drinks for E3.75 per person per day which is excellent value as it's unlimited within reasonable consumption.

The location of the hotel is directly opposite the beach, and there are many little supermarket shops for water and snacks at the bottom of the hotel incline, less than 5 minutes away.

The hotel has an onsite pay as you go self service launderette which we didn't use, but good to know for next time the facility is there.

The reception staff are very helpful and informative.

This is a lovely hotel situated in the Old Town of Benidorm, approximatley 20 minutes walk from the town centre.

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, and would most certainly look forwards to returning to stay with them again.

Thank you Hotel Poseidon Playa - we all had a wonderful stay! (Room 1102)

Another good stay, all as previous, clean, comfortable, good food and very helpful staff.
Entrainment every night. And varied.
Pool area is great, pool cleaned every morning and the beds and floor area, which is artificial grass are washed and swept.
Very pleasant stay.

Fantastic time. Hotel was brilliant, friendly staff, clean rooms with great views. Entertainment, both evening and afternoon was great, although mostly in Spanish. And as for the buffet resteraunt, great food and so much to choose from. We went half board, so you have to pay extra for meal drinks unless you pay ( about 3 euros a day) extra. Well worth it if you drink alcohol. Hotel position is in the quieter end of Benedorm, so 20-30 mins leisurely walk to old town. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the hotel from 4th nov to the 18th on arrival we were greeted by very pleasant staff who quickly got us checked in and gave us a room option floor two or floor 17 so we chose the view on floor 17. The rooms are adequate with a comfy bed nice shower powerful plenty hot water you get a tv with English Channels if this is important to you and the views are really good from the balcony on all floors as everyone gets a sea view. The rooms are cleaned every day you get towels but not for the beach you get shampoo. Soap. Which are re stocked daily you have a mini fridge a hair dryer but no facilities to make a hot drink so take a travel kettle and some cups. Bed was comfy but two singles pushed together. Safe in the room with a payment of 25 euros deposit for the key which you are refunded and it’s about two euros a day for the safe. We were half board and to be honest if we returned we would only do bed and breakfast as the evening meal was ok and you won’t go hungry it’s all edible but the quality and presentation is not what we were used too having stayed at many hotels in the canaries we were disappointed at the level of choice and it’s very repetitive with little vegetables. The staff are polite but you don’t really get and feel of it been your holiday it’s more like a canteen feel. The breakfast was good plenty fruit cereals toast and sausages bacon beans and eggs every morning never changes always these four options but it’s tasty oh and pastry if you want one with your tea and coffee. Any drinks purchased as tea time are payable at the end of your meal they charge for bottled water too so be aware if your only half board. I can’t comment on the entertainment as we went out every night into the old town as it’s a nice atmosphere we ended up the second week not eating evening meal at the hotel we chose to eat out we felt the food was of a better quality in the old town. The pool area is small but nice plenty sun loungers and a quiet atmosphere but again we went out every day as the walks locally are nice. All in all we would return but only bed and breakfast next time but that’s our preference as is my review it’s my honest opinion and I hope it answers some of your thoughts.

Spent a lovely week at the hotel with my Wife, easy check in and great staff. The place was spotlessly clean. Rooms were cool the air con was just right, some other places I have been too warm in the rooms so was really pleased here. The view from the rooms are all overlooking the sea which is a plus. Beds really comfortable and the pillows too. A massive tick for the management of the pool, the gates are kept locked until about 8.30 - 9am so no worrying about getting a sunbed, it also stays open until about 8pm. A lot of Spanish guests so the pool isn't too busy during Siesta time.
All staff are friendly and courteous. The animation team are hard working and great fun keeping kids and adults alike well entertained.
The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that there wasn't enough of a selection of vegetarian food, there was plenty of salads and fruit but the mains were lacking in choice, what we did eat though was nice. Also some of the food which had a "vegetariano" card on them had Ham in them so we had to be really careful. The restaurant was kept clean and we were never left waiting, the staff worked really hard, a big shout out to Antonio the waiter who by our last day had our Cava waiting as we sat down which made us smile.
The pool bar is great, we were on all inclusive so had drinks round the pool on tap.
The main bar was good too and all the bartenders were lovely.
We did have a good time and would recommend. Just needs more vegie food choices.

Booked as a last minute deal through EasyJet. Located in the quieter part of Benidorm and as most say it’s more Spanish. This for us was better as the standards were higher than some of the other English hotels (and guests)
Wonderful views, we were 16th floor. Beautiful weather helped and what a glorious way to wake up in February when it’s freezing and flooding at home.
Make sure you try Amigos bar nearby and sample their food if you want to eat out one night.
Rooms clean and tidy , they’re not huge and the walls are thin as other guests have commented on. Pretty funny hearing the neighbour asking his wife if she’s ‘flushed the toilet as that stinks’ 😮
Comedy value right there!
Nevertheless we fortunately couldn’t smell ‘it’ and enjoyed our stay. I sleep with ear plugs so had great nights of uninterrupted sleep.

overall the hotel offers very good facilities, the management and staff are all very friendly. all rooms have a sea view, spacious and are kept very clean. the food is varied and you can always find something to eat as there is a good choice at all mealtimes. the hotel location is away from the main town and is ideal for holidaymakers who want to chill out. bad points are that the hotel has over 300 rooms but only 18 parasols available in the swimming pool area. if you have a sunbed under a parasol and leave it for 30minutes or more then your towels will be removed. also there is only one socket in your room so an adapter is a must. unfortunately the walls in the rooms are quite thin and we had to move rooms as a person snoring in the next room kept us awake all night even though we were using ear plugs - however the manager was very helpful and moved us the next day. overall this hotel has extremely helpful and friendly staff which makes up for any shortfall in the hotel

This hotel is situated in the "old town" and is in a convenient location on the beach front near to many shops and restaurants, and a pleasant walk to the "new town".

The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.

The room was spotless, had decent facilities, and outstanding views across the beach front and over the sea as well as a balcony.

The food was outstanding. A good variety every night, very well cooked and very tasty.

The only criticism I would have is that smoking is permitted on the balconies, and on some occasions it was not possible to sit out/have the balcony doors open due to the stink from neighbouring balconies.

This hotel sold by Jet 2 Holidays sold to us in September is predominantly for Spanish older people. All the entertainment is in Spanish and much of the food and wine is geared to the Spanish. With that aside this is a lovely hotel. It's set on Pontiente Beach far away from the Brit end of Benidorm. The food is hot and plentiful and the staff are lovely. The view from our room on the 17th floor is incredible and the room is really lovely too. The only slight grumble is the Anamacion Team's inability to read a room and spend much of their time running around like mice on speed trying to get the over 65s to bounce around with fun noodles. We liked this hotel and would probably return.

The hotel at this time of year was busy, however it was very well handled. It was not noisy and very clean. The rooms are decent with nice comfortable memory foam beds, we always managed to get a sun bed at the pool and the little pool bar was as cheap as anywhere for a bottle of beer or other drinks so it was nice that the hotel didn’t try and rip you off that way. There was always plenty of food out, we only had b & b, the breakfast had lots of mixed choice from cold to warm foods including sausages and fried eggs, bean etc. The hotel had more Spanish visitors than English however the hotel reception and staff all spoke very good English, they were very helpful and cheerful making our stay a lot easier. The hotel is in a great spot, over the road from the beach, you walk out onto the front and there are many cafes and supermarkets if you need them. The English side of town, if that is what you actually want, is about 25minutes walk, but this is through the old town or along the coastline etc so there is plenty to look at on the way, you can get taxis and buses also. The only one small gripes, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and only a couple of plugs, also we couldn’t take anything from breakfast hall out of the hall, so we were stopped from taking some fruit with us which seems a little excessive really as we had paid for it technically, if we had sat in the hall and eat it then there wasn’t an issue, but that is all we can complain about. Other than that we had a great stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone really. We would definitely return there if we went to Benidorm again. Oh and don’t bother with hotel transfers, just pay 9 euro each and catch the bus direct from Alicante airport to Benidorm and vice versa takes 45 minutes you can book tickets online.
