We are staying in spain for a month and our daughter booked a 2 night stay here as part of our Christmas present. What a great location, close to everything and Valencia is so walkable. The reception staff were very friendly and super helpful. We followed their recommendations for a tapas lunch which was excellent. The room was very large and very clean. We had a room at the front of the hotel and never heard any city noise at all. The only suggestion I would make would be to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room as my husband really likes his tea! It was not trouble for the staff to make it and they always knew his order when he went to the restaurant but it would be less trouble to have it in the room. We had drinks in the bar attached to the hotel one night and they were very reasonable priced. Really enjoyed our stay

We spent three nights at this fine Valencia hotel in May 2019. Hotel has an excellent location next to Placa de la Reina and hence very close to the Cathedral and to most sites in the historical center. Our room was well finished and rather spacious with views of the main shopping street. Breakfast was fresh and varied with fresh orange juice (very rare nowadays) and eggs freshly made upon order. The hotel has elegantly finished common parts and having an evening drink at the hotel's outside coffee shop facing the impressive Palacio de la Ceramica was a lovely experience. The only negative point that comes to mind is the soundproofing of the rooms as we could hear noises coming from above and from next door particularly night. On the whole it was a lovely experience and would definitely recommend this lovely hotel.

The hotel is ideally placed for the old town - a 5 minute stroll to the cathedral and a 7 minute walk to the metro that takes you to and from the airport.
Our room which was a standard was large, very comfortable bed and clean. The bathroom was clean, but the bath taps were very loose and difficult to pull up to use the shower, we were worried we might pull them off the wall.
The room was noisy, facing out onto the road, but once the windows were closed it deadened much of the sound. The room was warm for October but it did have AC but this wasn’t the most efficient.
Breakfast was a buffet and plenty of choice, the area does get busy and at times people found it hard to get a seat. You could order eggs and bacon from the staff. The bar was comfortable but at times staff tended to ignore people waiting, even though they could see customers waiting. We had the set 3 course lunch on our first day and at 19€ each was good value.
We would stay here again, but would ask for a room at the back and also in hindsight should have reported the bath taps.

I used to live in Valencia so I know the locations of most of the good city centre hotels and location wise, this is one of the best in my opinion. It is 5 minutes walk from the old town area (with the cathedral and Mercat Central) and from the main shopping street and closest metro stations from the airport (Colon). There is really nice square just over the road (Placa Patriarcha) where you can get a good aperitif or nice lunch in one of the well regarded restaurants/ bars. As to the hotel itself, staff are very pleasant, we stayed in a normal double room, which was small but clean and nicely, if simply, furnished. We also had breakfast on the last day in the hotel because it was raining and it was good. There also seemed to be a nice bar, but we didn't go in because they didn't have an outside seating area.

SH Ingles is very well located in the old city centre of Valencia. You are pretty much walking distance from almost all the most important sights and experiences. The Hop on hop off bus stops about 200 meters further down the same street. Which is cool as well. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Due to the double glazing, you barely hear the noise from the 1 street that allows traffic. The breakfast is really nice and varied. The service is very well, extremely friendly and helpfull staff. We loved to have a drink on the terrace outside.

We have visited this hotel many times over the years but this is the first time since its refit. Small niggles: there should be free bottled water. Last time we stayed there were even straw hats!! The air conditioner in our room was old and noisy. I prefer a selection of high end toiletries. The shampoo (no conditioner) was in a fixed bottle on the wall. You couldn’t even reach it while sitting in the bath. Small luxuries matter. They are what makes a hotel stand out! On the plus side: excellent position, good sized rooms. Polite staff.

Hotel is pleasantly decorated and the staff very goo. Coming from Australia I do not speak Spanish but that was not a problem. Well situated for the old city and restaurants and tapas bars. No on site parking but short walk to underground parking for 18 euros per day.
For a hotel that rates itself pretty highly we were disappointed that there was no complimentary café bar in the room or available 24 hrs. Coffee is free with breakfast but that's it, so as early risers we just have to do without until breakfast. Staff apologised but said there was nowhere to put a café bar. In the TV room there are two wide shelves with ornaments that would be just fine.
Otherwise we were quite satisfied.

This is an amazing Hotel. Friendly staff, Nice bar / restaurant attached. the Breakfast/bar Staff were always happy to help and nothing was too much trouble any time of the day. We had a side balcony room, which is a balcony facing the main road, perfect for people watching. The room was spacious and clean. Would defiantly recommend this hotel to any visiting Valencia that wants a bit of luxury in a central location.

Stayed here for six days. Was surprised at the low price for the hotel, especially since it’s next to one of Valencia’s attractions (museum of Ceramics) and has a great location. Everything is at walking distance, you are two minutes away from the big shopping street and the old centre. We were placed in room 203 which was really big. The beds were comfortable, the shower nice. We liked the fact that we had a mini bar and the two bottles of water were a gift from the hotel.

I had read other reviews and was a bit worried about the supposed traffic noises, because we had a room on the main street, but personally this was not bad at all. You will always have noises when you book a hotel in the centre of a city, but the doors were pretty sound proof in my opinion and I did not sleep any less because of it. If you have the money to upgrade your room to have a view of the museum, I would totally do this, since it’s so gorgeous.

The staff members were very nice and all spoke English, in particular the girl with the brown ponytail was super kind and spoke English very well. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Valencia!

The location is everything, in front of the Museo Nacional de Cerámica y Artes Suntuarias González Martí, super close to the old center of Valencia, 5 minutes walk to the Mercado Central and Catedral de Valencia.
Lovely interiors, big bathroom, the staff was super friendly, and the wether in Valencia even in Jannuary was great.
Highly recommended!

It's a long, long, long walk - I wouldn't reccommend it. Even when you come off the Metro it's still a couple of miles to walk. Get a taxi they're dead cheap . We got one back from the A&S to the hotel - it was only 7 euros (09/ 2022. There's lots of walking in A&S so save your legs and spend more time there with a cab!
