We booked this hotel due to the location between the old town and the New part of the city/beach. The staff were very attentive and the rooms were spotless, we would recommend the breakfast to fuel you up for a long day off sightseeing. Gracias Malcolm and Barret

Our stay at this Hotel was a pleasure from the moment of arrival to departure. The room was pristine, and the 24 hour bar was a godsend on late arrival back to the Hotel after sightseeing, that one late night nightcap made it all the more pleasurable. Can not wait for our next visit

The hotel was great. It was very centrally located and also had an underground car park suitable for small to medium cars only (a bit of a squeeze on entry/exit ramps!) (Car park was €10 per night)
Rooms were modern in style and quite trendy in their design. My room was compact but perfectly functional. Shower had plenty of hot water and with a great pressure too.
It only lacked tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
The staff were also very friendly and helpful and spoke good English too. The hotel also was able to help me in advance of my stay for a few questions I had.
Bed was comfortable and I slept well. Paid €9 for a great buffet style breakfast with everything on offer from cooked meats/eggs etc thru to fresh fruit.
All in all it was great value and highly recommended.

The room was nicely decorated and clean and thats most important. I didn't love being on the first floor, the view out the window wasn't great but the bed was comfortable and clean. We arrived on Three Kings Day and circled around for 30 minutes until we found parking. To be fair parking was much easier the day after. As a side note I would avoid traveling on that day in Spain in the future. I agree with a previous review that the strong scent from the chemicals the cleaning crew used was overwhelming upon arrival. It did get better later in the evening. Because of the festival we decided to have a tapas dinner at the hotel. I normally avoid hotel restaurants but I was happy with their prices and the food was good. Not great but definitely good enough. The problem however was the service. We ate, drank and had coffee at the restaurant/bar for 2 days and every interaction was the same: We were repeatedly made to wait while they attended to another guest who were usually next or third in line after us. One time the customer who was given preferential treatment made a comment to the waitress that she had brushed us aside. We didn't say anything to the staff because we didn't want to cause a scene and we had no negative recourse. One time I did speak up. I was at the bar and I wanted a beer. I walked up to where they display the bottled beers available. I was clearly looking at the selection, theres no way anyone would not have gotten that. I'm not familiar with Spanish beer so I was trying to figure out what to order, when the waiter walked up to me and removed all the bottles! The bar is supposedly open 24 hrs, I think this happened around 9.30 pm. I asked if they were closing and they said no. I was not drunk and not disorderly in any way. Im a middle aged woman and I was traveling with my 70 year old mother. We enjoy wine and beer but we are never rowdy. I will not be returning to this hotel, but because of the comfortable beds and also because its a child friendly hotel I would recommend it to my younger friends with children. I would tell them to avoid the restaurant though.

Disappointing on lots of fronts. It's very good value for a city hotel- but the location is truly terrible, its on dual carriageway and very noisy, in a quarter of town which has little to recommend it. When I arrived the front had overflowing rubbish bins, and a big gang of drunken lads inside, (reception is effectively a bar!). The rooms are fine but cleaners use overpowering chemical cleaning fluids and spray - quite revolting - I had to leave the windows open

What a great find! My dad had a procedure at La Fe Hospital so we stayed here for five nights. We had two rooms and both were great. Extremely comfy beds and pillows! And I’m picky about these things.
Every single member of staff we interacted with was delightful. Helpful, friendly, and had personality. Not robotic - it felt like they actually enjoyed working there.
We ate in the restaurant four times for dinner. Enjoyed every meal. Nice kids meal for my 5 year old.
Everything was clean too.
There are two building separated by a small street and the parking is underground and they stress that it’s only for smaller cars. There was always available parking spots and for 10€ a day it was easier than trying to find a free spot on the surrounding streets.
The location was great for the hospital but also to explore Valencia. A nice walk up a tree-covered street to get to the Hemisferic and it’s also close to the now gentrified Rusafa neighborhood (I lived in Valencia 20 years ago and Rusafa was not the cool, safe place it is now!) The number 7 bus stops outside to take you into the city, there’s a supermarket across the street and nice little cafes in the area, too.
A great stay and we will definitely be back.

We filtered for a hotel in Valencia with available parking, and chose the Malcom and Barret. When we arrived we were told that there was no parking left, we should look in the street. There is not a single parking space free in Valencia within at least 1 km from the Hotel. Neither is there any public parking opportunity nearby.
Turns out, the Hotel holds 20 parking lots for 200 rooms, in short, don't consider this hotel when travelling by car.

The staff here were great, they couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating and are an absolute asset to this hotel. Thank you! However, an issue, and totally our fault for not staying when we got to our room, but the room was absolutely tiny, you literally couldn’t move, no view of anything but a wall and just so claustrophobic, that and boiling hot and the AC didn’t work. Wish we had said something. On our final day, we were unwell so we hired another room for the day after check out and the new room we got was 3 times the size and would have made our stay a completely different experience if we had that room from the beginning. I’d urge the management to look at room 505 and really ask yourselves if that room is worthy to charge people to stay in there. Had we had a better room and not stayed in that box, we’d have enjoyed our stay so much more.

The receptionist was very welcoming, very informative and gave us 2 complimentary drink tickets of champagne at the hotel bar and a map of the city. As soon as we got the key we went to the hotel room and en suite. It was very clean, stylish with all the amenities. The shower was very good high quality but handle with care the tap otherwise the water might be too hot. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in and when we went out of the room on the 2nd day the maid asked if we would like fresh towels which was nice. The restaurant if you want to stay in, there is a good selection on the menus. The paella was delicious. Overall a good experience. The receptionist even got us a taxi for the airport upon request. The location is perfect halfway Between the beach and the city centre if you want to experience a lot of Valencia. We would highly recommend this hotel to stay.

Clean, western, good service and unified design. The receptionist helped with local language and problem situations. Taxis are quite cheap so the location a bit off didn't really bother. Excellent buffet breakfast with different breads, fried bacon, asparagus, eggs, serrano ham, juices, yogurt, fresh fruits... Only coffee machine and for Scandinavian taste the coffee was a clear minus. Nice bar area. Small but very cosy rooms.
