I would have rated Ad Hoc Monumental a 5 if it’s elevator had not remained out of service for the five days we were there. Our nicely furnished 4th floor room was spacious and bright with a high ceiling and tall windows that faced the quiet street.

It is a short walk to the Cathedral and the Musee de Bellas Artes, a nice mix of restaurants, the Metro, and the #95 bus that stopped at the Science Center and Aquarium on its way to the beach.

There’s a nice-looking restaurant on the ground floor where the hotel offers breakfast. We passed because we only wanted a croissant and coffee. There was a tea kettle, cups and teabags in our room but no coffee (easily rectified by buying packets of instant cafe con leche from a neighborhood grocer).

We’d happily stay there again.

This was my third visit to the hotel.

It's located in a quiet road at the edge of the historic city and by the large Turia Gardens (dry river bed).

The hotel is an interesting refurbishment of an old building: lots of exposed bricks. Quite charming. Things work: shower (noisily), wifi. Safe is large enough for a tablet. Air conditioning is effective without being brutal or noisy. If you prefer to leave the window open at night the main road at the end of the street is not particularly noisy. Sound insulation between rooms was normally fine and only occasionally ineffectual.

Staff in reception are efficient, friendly and speak good English. They can provide useful advice, eg on where to get your pre-flight Covid test (ah, travel nowadays...).

Covid has led to changes especially at breakfast, which was a bit disappointing. You now have to agree a time beforehand. It consists just of orange juice, coffee/ tea and either toast + jam, or croissant, or ham/ cheese sandwich. No fruit, no cooked food, no cereals.

A small gem in the heart of Valencia. Great and very helpful staff that is rarely found nowadays. Because of the Covid-19 the breakfast is delivered to your room which is great as rooms are spacious and comfortable enough to enjoy the quietness. The Air conditioning is great too as we discovered that’s not the case for everywhere in Valencia. I also like that the air conditioning unit is specific to the room and not central as most hotels are. This makes it a lot safe during this strange Covid Times. We stayed initially for a night but our further plans cancelled and we extended the stay for over a week. Highly recommend this hotel and hope we will have to visit Valencia on another occasion and stay here once again.

Somewhat old world character with vaulted brick and wood ceilings, marble floors and exposed brick walls in our room on the 4th floor. Probably could do with a bit of updating, however spacious enough and functional. Lighting in the bedroom is a bit on the dim side but good in the bathroom. No fridge in the room which was a bit of a nuisance if you need to keep some small every day items cool
Ad Hoc is centrally located close to the green zone walking trails and only minutes from the two main plazas, dining areas and shopping precinct. It’s located on a small street and very quiet so sleep quality is very good
Helpful staff, comfortable beds and spotlessly clean made our 3 night stay very enjoyable
Free parking is just across the bridges over the “river” although this is on a first come first served basis.
Didn’t eat in as there are so many dining options just a short walk away

Wow, the hotel is just what we searched for, a traditional Spanish villa style interior with large spaces, wooden beam ceilings and original brickwork features. Very friendly and helpful staff who assisted us with advice information and great banter. Nice, clean rooms with quiet aircon & super clean and tidy. Amazing location just a few minutes from the Plaza de la Virgen, The Towers and the Museum of Fine Arts, The Riverbed Garden is literally across the main rd & its in the heart of the Old City.
Would definitely recommend it for a great relaxing stay. Thanks to all the staff especially Jaime at Reception who was super helpful & helped with my Spanish, i cannot speak highly of him enough!

Lovely hotel in a perfect location. 5 minutes from the beautiful Turia Park and the same distance to the cathedral (providing you don't get lost which we did the first time!!). Room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable with a balcony. Only concern was the lack of cupboard space. Kettle was provided but the tea was camomile and no milk. We took our own tea and coffee and just asked for a jug of milk each day which they were happy to give us. Reception staff were really helpful and friendly. Right from the start they answered our e mails promptly and their English is great. They booked taxis for us from and to the airport. . Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. However there were occasions when there was nobody around and we had to go hunt for someone to get us coffee or milk for our cereal. A jug of milk by the cereal would have saved some of that. We would definitely stay here again.

Previous favourable comments are correct. Clean , comfortable friendly staff in a quiet location just minutes from the Cathedral. The hotel arranged our taxi , waiting at the airport for us. Judging by a fellow hotel guests comments about taxis in Valencia the 27 euros we paid in advance for it was the right decision. On average we paid between 6 - 8 euros for a large beer and a glass of white wine. A visit to the Cathedral , central market and city of arts and science is well worthwhile. We ate Boatella Tapas bar right opposite the main market entrance for 2 of our 3 nights.

Small hotel in a great location on the edge of the old city, room was clean, spacious and comfortable, we had a small balcony that opened on to a quiet street. 24 hour reception, very friendly and helpful staff. 1 minute from the Turia gardens and 10 minutes walk to Alameda metro station, easy access to all the sights in the city.

I stayed here in October 2019 and would definitely plan to return again sometime. Comfortable room with good bathroom amenities. Bath/shower which was nice. Good air conditioning, no noisy streets, good choice of food for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful, arranging an early breakfast for us on day of departure. Location was great for short walk to local restaurants in the old quarter of València.

Located in the old city the hotel was perfectly placed. Close to Turia Gardens/Park (worth a visit) and the centre of Valencia.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, showing us many of the tourist attractions on a map. We were surprisingly upgraded to a lovely suite, with plenty of room as well as a terrace. Amazing! We are grateful to the hotel staff for organising this. In addition, the barman of the Amberes Wine Bar attached to the hotel was very attentive to our needs, going the extra mile to ensure we were happy with our visit. We are happy to recommend this hotel for a stay in Valencia.

Hotel serves breakfast and there are cafes about 5 minutes away. I would simply take a taxi from the station as I don’t know how far it is.

Dear Nicole, as "Progenitor" says, there is an underground parking near to our hotel and to make the check in you can leave your luggage first of all. Also, we know some places where to park the car is more easy but farest than the underground parking. If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact with us. Best regards.
