Pros: In a good location of the city, close to metro and all city center sights. Very small but cozy room had everything I needed, comfy bed. Friendly hotel staff as well, very welcoming and attentive, they seamlessly helped me extend my stay one extra night.

Cons: The walls in my room seemed quite thin as I could hear almost everything: conversations in the room next door, doors opening and shutting, and housekeeping staff out and about the halls every morning. As result, although the hotel is on a fairly quiet street, my sleep quality was not good during early mornings and late evenings.

Another thing is I asked a day before my departure for assistance reserving a taxi at checkout. Was told it would be done. At checkout I was told because of the marathon in Valencia city (it was a Sunday), they could not reserve the taxi. That in itself is understandable.

But I wish they had communicated this to me a day before, rather than at checkout when I was expecting a taxi, so that I could have made alternate plans myself. Ended up hailing a cab about a fifteen minute walk away from the hotel as a result, which was a challenge with heavy luggage - and could have been avoided with better communication from hotel staff.

With all that said, I still recommend the hotel, and I would definitely book again as I enjoyed my stay overall.

This small hotel is very well situated to explore central Valencia. We walked everywhere. There are a plethora of restaurants nearby. The hotel has a rooftop terrace which is a great place to enjoy the sunset ( you take your own drinks up.) Our room was cozy, clean and quiet. The bathroom was teeny, sort of reminded us of being on a ship, but all functioned well. There is a lift. Small breakfast room- we signed up for a time to take breakfast on arrival- fairly standard breakfast options. Parking is at a pubic garage nearby. Wonderful desk staff.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It is in a really central position. It is a very clean and comfortable hotel. The staff are really friendly and pleasant, especially Rodrigo who is super helpful and informative. The roof terrace is also very pleasant to sit in the evening.I would recommend this hotel for a city visit.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night in a triple room. It is well located in Central Valencia. It is a very clean and comfortable hotel. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The staff recommended really good restaurants for dinner. We enjoyed the sunset at the terrace rooftop with some Jamon serrano bocadillos.

Clean, lovely staff, fantastic location and very spacious room!

Breakfast very average… a shame, really, was expecting better from Spanish standards.

Room extremely warm, there were two ceiling fans, but not ideal, bathroom didn’t have windows.

Rooftop didn’t have a bar, they should make better use of it, as the views are gorgeous.

Overall, a good stay in a top location, but could have been better.

Stayed here for three days for La Fallas.
Well situated hotel just off the main square (Placa de L'Ajuntament) and close to Xativa and Colon metro stations.
Good check in by Rodrigo with lots of information and restaurant tips, all the staff were incredibly helpful during our stay.
Nice rooms with comfortable beds and powerful showers.
The added bonus is the rooftop terrace and bar, excellent place to watch the afternoon fireworks.
Would certainly return to this hotel.

Really great location to explore Valencia. Close to city hall and walking distance to most of the main sights and shopping areas. The hotel has many great eateries nearby!
Room was clean and fresh looking. Bed comfortable and room was warm. Bathrooms varied between rooms- mine was ok, my friend had a tiny shower.
Overall a great place to stay.

A great Hotel, centrally located and spotless rooms. The staff are very friendly and they all speak good English. The lift is a bit rickety and watch those little doors! Overall, well worth staying there and if you get a room facing onto c/correos during las fallas then you can see the fireworks from the window. Good website too, where you can book via email.

We booked 2 nights at the Sweet Hotel Continental and didn't regret it. Location is great, room is not very spacious, but for us it was only a matter of having a place for the night. The bathroom was also a bit small, but had everything you may need.

There's a great terrace at the top of the building, we really enjoyed taking a break after a whole day of walking. There's a supermarket nearby, so we would buy a bottle of wine, some snacks and relaxed before going out for dinner.

There are many bars and restaurants around, it's really easy to just walk around. I would recommend to rent a bike (tons of rentals around the hotel - and you can also rent a bike directly at the lobby for 10 euros) to fully discover the city.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It was clean, the staff was super friendly and the location made our stay even more enjoyable. Don't hesitate to book!

Arriving in Valencia late in the evening, we made reservations based on Lonely Planet - Spain. This time the guidebook badly misled us.
At first, we thought it was a typical run-down hotel acceptable due to it's low price, and proximity to the station and sites.

However, the bathroom was one of the worst I ever had. I could barely stand in the shower, and had to dry myself outside the bathroom due to lack of space.

What makes this such poor value is the incredible special deals the 3 star hotels give on Fri-Sun. We switched next morning to a beautiful 3 star, and got a fantastic room for the IDENTICAL price.

If the Contental cut it's prices in half, it might be worth it for a budget traveler. However, I have stayed in many Spanish 2 star pensions over the years, and this is a poor value in comparison.
