Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, which is central. Otherwise, you should avoid it. It's old and desperately needs refurbishing. The carpet in the corridors is dirty and full of stains. Our room was small, dark and old-fashioned. The skirting board was splintered and there was a hairball stuck to it. The bedside light didn't work. In the bathroom you get a Bic razor and a plastic comb. Like something from the 1970's, but not in a good way. The bath and shower worked well, but there was mildew on the seals. The mattress was old and worn, with a big dip. And there was no kettle or coffee making facilities. If you wanted hot water, you had to order it from reception for 6 Euros! The breakfast was average, not great, not terrible. It's like a cheap old hotel, except it's not cheap. We moved to a different hotel (with no refund) and it was a good decision.

Hotel's Favourite
I gave this hotel a 4 star review last year when we stayed as it was looking a little tired and shabby in certain places, especially in the particular room in which we stayed. We went over with some friends last month and the room we had was a large corner room and was very nice inside. The staff were as friendly and polite as always. Particular mentions go to Adrian who was our barman and kept us furnished with everything we needed for a couple of evenings. Cristian who was the restaurant manager was also superb. I am Spanish and like fresh cheese (Burgos style) with my breakfast as i can't get it here in the UK. He got some sent in especially, which i thought was a lovely gesture. This hotel is perfectly placed for those wishing to stay at a mid point between the city centre and the beach.

I loved the location of the hotel. By taking the number 19 bus ( a few minutes walk from the hotel) you can get into the city or get the beach (Malvarosa). It is 5 minutes from oceanographic and science museum. The other side of the science museum you can get the bus 24 to El Palmar in the natural park of albufera. The breakfast was substantial and suited every need. You have a wide choice of hot or cold meals, fruit and fruit juice, gorgeous bread, various meats and cheeses. The bedroom was cleaned every day and provided with clean sheets and towels. We were on a low floor on the corner of the hotel. It could be noisy especially around 5:00 when bins are collected. Avoid rooms ending in 04. I did ask for a higher floor but nothing was available. All the receptionists were very helpful and answered all questions we had. We didn’t use the pool as it was always very busy and the beds were in the shade for most of the day.

Certainly should not be a 4 star hotel. Unhelpful reception staff. Overpriced drinks, hot breakfast were cold and no flavour whatsoever. The bed was the biggest problem. Springs completely gone in mattress and woke 3 mornings with bad back ache. Not what you want for the day ahead. The pool was fine but sunbeds in very short supply. The bar area was covered by one member of staff and incredibly slow at any time of day. Reception staff were completely unhelpful, no knowledge of where to get public transport into city or indeed cared with bad attitudes. Very tired rooms and in dire need of updating.

Terrible. Such a basic hotel. Pool is small. Food is poor. Dead fly in the cheese and waitress tutted and raised her eyebrows and huffed. Reception staff rude and grunt. Key card broke 3 times and accused us of keeping it near a phone but we didn’t. Waiter called Daniel so rude - spoke about us behind our back and then more rude when I confronted him. Bed was comfy but just a sheet to sleep under. Close to some shops but smell of drains kept coming. Food and drinks in hotel over priced. Room was not ready when we arrived at 9am. Told wouldn’t be ready until 4pm and yet still not ready. Lifts are unreliable. Hardly any sunbeds. Fake grass too hot to walk on and very uneven and a trip hazard. No safety around the pool. The edges are even made of wood. No life guard. So overpriced Defo not a 4 star hotel. No locks in bedroom windows. Don’t waste your time.

The hotel is overratted. The price per night does not explain the state of the hotel For 200 euros per night you get a very old and dusty room, with acceptable cleaneaness. Additionaly to the 200 per room you also pay 20 euros per parking. At this rate the hotel should be exceptional, but it barely stands. The breakfast was ok on the other had.

Staff were great. Location superb. Smallish pool but beach is only 30mins walk away. Rooms great and a great view from our balcony one the tenth floor. Didn't get breakfast there as there are plenty restaurants within five minutes walk. Only slight downside was the website which is a bit lacking in information

We stayed in this downtown hotel during the weekend of the final round of the Motogp season. Check in was quick and friendly and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. Buffet breakfast was excellent with a big choice of foods available. Hotel is well located and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Highly recommended for business or pleasure!
