One of our rooms on arrival the floor had not been cleaned. Towels in the bathroom were badly stained. There were no glasses in bathroom. Although every room has a balcony there were no chairs. The coffee at breakfast was not drinkable.
On the plus side safe in room at no extra cost. Reception staff very good and spoke good english. Showers in bathroom were good.

Hotel Playa Miramar is situated in a small village, near the beach (150mts), has a small swimming pool.Cleaning is very good as well meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Playa Miramar is not a tourist village, but has shops, restaurants, cafés and supermarkets.
The sea is wonderful, and the water is about 26ºC. Fantastic.
For get Playa Miramar: If you arrive at Valencia airport, take line 3 or 5 (metro) to Xativa (about 20 min - EUR 1,90),
Near Xativa take the train Valencia Nord to Gandia (about 55 min - EUR 4,75).
In Gandia station take the bus ( Amistad) to Playa Miramar (about 15 min - Eur 1,30).
In Playa Miramar the exit is tourism office. The tourism office at the hotel are about 200 mts!

The hotel is regular, clean and silent. We are not picky, but the food was terrible. Little variety, some vegetables were in bad condition. I had to ask the waiter to remove the peppers because they were acids. The desserts, chef inventions with artificial flavors. The best thing: the serviette and the bread. I recommend just for accommodation.

The hotel is clean, modern and well worth the money. We paid £241 for a weeks full board stay which worked out £9 a day which you can not beat. The food is good and plentiful for a 3 star hotel. The amenities are good ie swimming pool which is cleaned every day. If you are going to speak english then think again as this is a traditional spanish town and only 10 minutes away from the beautiful gandia beaches and shops. Although Miramars beach is beautiful and empty there is hardly anything there. Season doesnt start until June but it wil never be your usual commercial town. So if you want to go where the english dont go then this si the place. Lovely and peacful. Can recommend the Paella round the courner at the le mediterraneo well priced aswell. Staff at hotel are very welcoming and dont speak much english. We also got free tickets to the benidorm waterpark animal kingdowm etc which would of cost us another 98 euros through the hotel =. So all in all fantastic value for money. We will definitely be returning next year.

First of all, this area of Costa Blanca is quite strange, there are very few hotels and in August it's impossible to find accomodation "on the run", that's why we stayed here for two nights. The area is not the nicest we've seen as there are some high buildings, but we decided to go for it.

The hotel itself was quite ok, the room in the 7th floor had a wide view and it was nice, spacious and comfortable. The only negative thing about the room was the aircondition, which was not good enough too cool down the room during the night. Another thing was that the bed was not as comfortable as it could have been, due to plastic under the sheet to protect the bed. There was no wifi in room, only in ground floor area.

The breakfast was good and had a selection of what you expect, and also a variety of fruits. We paid extra for parking and really struggled to get the car out from the very tight parking. But all in all we had a good stay at a reasonable price.

For those who want to experience holidays among the locals, this is definitely the area, there were very few foreign tourists. The beach was very nice, a bit crowded in the morning but everyone left during the siesta. Unfortunately there were no sunbeds or umbrellas for rent, but possibility to buy in one of the local shops.

Hotel Playa Miramar is in a small Costa Blanca seaside resort blessed with miles of clean, sandy beach. The hotel is modern and well thought out. The rooms are a reasonable size and provided with all that is necessary for a hotel stay...and nothing more. The beds are large and comfortable, the bathrooms efficient and spacious, bedlinen and towels are changed daily and the staff are both friendly and highly efficient. Breakfast is a generous buffet inclined towards Spanish taste. There is plenty of fruit and cereals available, a wide choice of coffees, meats, fried eggs and incredibly greasy bacon...but you can avoid that and settle for toast and jam and have a really good start to the day. There is a bar/cafeteria on the ground floor and a small swimming pool which no one seems to use, not surprising when the beach is 200 metres away. Prices are reasonable.

stayed one night on our way through to better things. Amazing price of 36 euros. This is what you get: hard to find. Clean. Good enough view of the water (through other high buildings). Reasonably comfortable bed. Old but working television. Hand-held shower only (kind of hard to wash your hair). Free wifi, but, only in the lobby.

At this time of year there is no where to eat. Nothing to look at but the water and a stubby "grass" plot across the street. We drove into Oliva for a low priced meal and a pleasant walk.

The folks at the desk were nice and helped by printing out driving directions.

So....this hotel did what I needed for the night at a great price, but, I would not stay for a holiday.
