We had a lovely few days visiting Valencia and staying in this hotel . The hotel was perfectly situated near the metro station, with easy access to 2 shopping malls opposite. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and everything was very clean with our room being cleaned each day , there was a problem with the 3 lifts which caused delays in the morning, therefore we had to use the stairs on more than one occasion. There is a small outdoor pool which was rather nice when we needed to cool off , but a lack of Sun loungers to accommodate everyone. There were plenty restaurants and tapas bars nearby , we found a very nice Indian restaurant around the corner ( Swagat Palace) and we hired bikes and were able to explore . We visited Marina beach which was an amazing experience with a great atmosphere with music , the food & cocktails were very good but you will have a large bar bill at the end of the day . The beach next to it was also very nice with plenty restaurants to choose from .
We would definitely return to this hotel as it offers everything you will need for a short visit.

Hotel Great! Absolutely NO complaints.

Just be careful. Dolce Salato coffee shop is NOT affiliated with hotel DESPITE door from hotel lobby into the coffee shop bar adjoining.

Dolce Salato gives impression of being linked to / affiliated with the hotel. BUT it's definitely NOT. YOU Have been warned.

There is a door there, presumably because Dolce Salato customers are afforded the facility of the hotel toilets.

Dolce Salato are happy to serve orange Juice with maggots in. The Hotel leave a door through to the unhygienic establishment. DO NOT USE this door. You WILL regret it.

The hotel offers no assurances of food hygiene in relation to Dolce Salato. Avoid Dolce Salato.

The Hotel itself is great.

You have been warned.

See separate reviews of Dolce Salato for yourself.

But if you do like maggots in your so called "fresh orange juice" do please try Dolce Salato.

The hotel need to consider placing a hygiene standards warning at the door that separates the hotel Dolce Salato.

A boring, charmless place, that should feel luxurious but is totally lacking in atmosphere.

My main disappointment is with the rooms. My first room flooded when I tried using the shower. I was moved to a suite on the 6th floor where everything felt in need of maintenance. Woodwork scuffed, dodgy electrical sockets, studs on the bathroom floor making it tricky to step out of the shower, automatic blinds that were badly crinkled (see photos).

A previous guest had put a plaster with toilet paper over the red light of the tv - which housekeeping apparently hadn’t noticed!

I felt like I was staying in a budget hostel but paying luxury hotel prices.

Sitting at the bar is like sitting in an airport departure lounge, dull and quiet.

The only thing that rescues this review a little is the spa. You pay 15/18 euros (depending on if you need to buy the obligatory swimming cap) for 90 minutes, and it is very nice.

Sadly however, the overall experience is not worth the money.

We enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool; the surrounding garden areas were clean and a pleasant place to relax. The bar staff was friendly. The SPA was a great place to wind down and relieve sore, tired muscles from all the walking and biking in the area. The location of this hotel is excellent for stepping out to the Arts and Science area and is full of great shopping and restaurants. The room was clean and adequate, and the bathroom was of a good standard.

The lifts were so slow, and we could not find accessible stairs. We would have happily walked the eight flights rather than wait several times a day. When using the pool in the morning, we used the bathrooms in the hotel's foyer. Every toilet was dirty, and toilet paper was all over the floor. When I informed the morning bar staff and cleaner, they did not seem concerned. I suggested that someone clean it and was then told, 'Oh yes, I will call the cleaner.'

Could rate this hotel enough we were a family of 7 and stayed for 7 nights during the first week August. Beautiful hotel and the location is very central - great shopping / two large shopping centres across the road and multiple restaurants within less than a minute walk. Perfect local to walk to the Oceonarium (10mins walk) and other attraction. For the bio park (well worth a visit) / beach etc you can get a bus literally outside the hotel and they are there every 10-15mins. Back to the hotel: the food was great at the snack bar and restaurant, we did the buffet great choice and superb value for money. The hotel rooms are massive we had a family room and it was huge with 2 bathroom, fridges, a living area and great views (Floor 8). Last but by all means not least were the staff! Always had a smile especially the breakfast staff Maria Jose and her boss (sorry didn’t remember name) were also smiling and couldn’t do enough for us. In addition we want to recognise Manuel who runs the bar, great service and really friendly. All the staff were great but These 3 people particularly stood out and are a credit to the Primus Valencia Team. Well done and thanks you to all the team at Primus Valencia!

Room was fine, hotel was clean so
in that department no issues- shame
F&B brings down the points for this review big time.

So when you advertise that you have a snack bar by the pool then one assumes you can get some type of food. Right? Wrong..

Tried ordering French fries/ hot dogs for the kids and the guy at the snack bar outside said we had to order from inside that there was no food outside ( strange since there is also seating outside). Tried ordering inside and they said it’s not possible and to order outside or order room service from the room. We got fed up and went to the room and tried calling and they said it was not possible to order room service. 🤬🤬🤬

So no choice but to get ready quickly and go to the shopping mall across the street to eat.

Breakfast was good the next morning, a lot of everything. 😋

Anyone traveling with kids can relate I’m sure, when kids are hungry they
Must be fed and when there is
Snack bar with no snacks it’s like???

On our first night in the hotel, we were a bit disappointed. We had just traveled from Madrid where we had stayed in the Riu and been incredibly impressed. We didn't get the best welcome at the Primus. The reception staff didn't tell us how to get to our rooms our where anything was. We had two - one for us and one for our teenage sons. The rooms seemed far less comfortable than the one we had come from, even though we had paid for upgrades. We were put on a low floor and didn't get much sleep at all. We couldn't understand why it sounded like furniture was being scraped over the wooden floors below us until really late and then from really early on. It was only when we went for breakfast that we realised we were directly above the breakfast/dining area. We were all exhausted and not looking forward to another three nights of little sleep so we asked to move. The receptionist (a different one) was much friendlier and agreed to move us to the top floor but did say the rooms weren't the upgraded ones. That was fine; the only difference was we didn't have the same shower head (but the rain shower hadn't worked properly anyway) and we weren't given dressing gowns or slippers. These rooms were far quieter!
I spent a morning in the spa which is amazing and well worth the 15 euros to have an hour and half relaxing. The pool area is decent and didn't get too busy.
The breakfast was fine. It wasn't anything special but we all managed to find things we were happy to eat.
The rooms are very basic and wooden floor with beds that are on thin legs aren't a recipe for a quiet stay! The bathrooms seem to be less sound-proofed than the bedroom area too. I could hear someone coughing at one point and panicked, thinking they were in the room!
We did enjoy our stay here. We were close to some lovely restaurants and the science park is beautiful. Saying that, I don't think we would stay here again as it was very expensive and I didn't feel we got the same value for money as we did at the Riu. It is nice but not luxurious.

Overall this is an okay hotel. The location to the science museums and shopping is very good. Several problems with the hotel - (1) most staff were friendly and helpful, but found the front desk staff to be short and somewhat rude - particularly when they found that we didn’t speak Spanish; (2) Elevators were slow and in some periods not fully working; (3) workout room was meager; and (4) our room’s temperature and humidity control was poor, even after asking about it with the front desk. So uncomfortable and sweaty much of the time. Definitely want to visit Valencia again but will not stay here.

Stayed on a friends trip.
Was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Its excellent.
Very clean and modern. The pool area is lovely.
Breakfast, although an extra cost, was a well sticked buffet style.
Bedrooms were clean and spacious.

For planning.
Taxis can be arranged by reception, but there is a service charge for this.
A large shopping complex opposite with multiple restaurants. But the streets outside have plenty of restaurants.
The spa is very nice, and worth a visit. Again at an extra cost.
