We really enjoyed our stay here in March. The room was lovely with views of the beach. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was warm and helpful. Great location as well. We walked to some great restaurants and into the city or grabbed a taxi for a short ride.

The holiday was a xmas present & the hotel was right next to the beach. We normally stay in the centre of the city.
The staff were very polite & helpful, & the room was very clean. The hotel was modern & very well decorated.
Breakfast was continental style, but you could ask for eggs, bacon etc to be cooked fresh for you.
I would recommend this hotel for beach lovers & although there were a few nice bars & restaurants nearby, it´s a long walk to the centre. Although buses & taxi´s pass close by reguarly. Walk takes anything from 45-60 minutes & taxi cost us €8,50. Our room was ground floor & the only view that we had was of a courtyard right outside our door, shared by three rooms. Therefore i would recommend using the safe, because security could be a problem.

Thanks so much Steve for your comment and great price at our hotel. It is very important for us to know the hotel's experiences. We want to improve every day to offer the best. We are so sorry for the inconvenience of the restaurant. We will check that it does not happen again. Hope you had a nice day at Valencia and hope that you will soon come back to our hotel on the beach. Sincerely

I have just returned from a short break in Valencia. I really enjoyed my stay and I would definitly return to this hotel. We stayed in room no.7. It was a lovely room. We had a little courtyard which was lovely. The bed was so comfortable!! The room was spotless. The hotel is near the beach. We got the no.95 bus into the commercial centre for 1.50 euro each way, about 15 mins on the bus. Oceangraphic was very near the commercial shopping centre and is well worth a visit. The food in the hotel was delicious, a little pricey but it was very tasty. All the staff were really nice. After reading other reviews I was a little concerned about the music from the disco from another nearby hotel, but we heard absolutely nothing. There is also a mini bar in the room but you do pay for what you take from it. The shower is also fab! I would stay again, no problem.

I read a bunch of reviews before I stayed at Balandret. First a few basic truths: the hotel is comfy, boutique style, the breakfast is good but you will want to get there before 9am otherwise they stop replacing items. Breakfast ladies are nice and everyone I ran into at the hotel was nice.
However, no matter how many reviews I read, nobody covered items that actually matter at this hotel. First, I assume you will want to go to the beach, otherwise why book a beach hotel? The hotel does not have a pool and is very close to the pier which harbors the cruise ships. To this point I booked a sea view balcony room which is NOT a balcony, it is a door that opens to an area that you cannot even stand on. The pier that I just mentioned has a restaurant/club that starts the bass at 3pm and I don't know what time it stops because I went to sleep before it ever stopped which was 2:30am at the latest for me but you can hear the bass in your room EVERY DAY and NIGHT.

If you are a city explorer this is not the hotel for you, it's about a 10 minute cab/uber ride into the city. Communidad Valencia tries to force you to use cabs on your ride share app, making Uber and Lyft more expensive, preference is given to cabs, but the difference is minimal.
All of the reviews mentioned the restaurants nearby and it is true, but the restaurants are there for the hotels only, it's not an authentic experience.
Nobody would leave the city to come to these, it is for the beach hotels only. Back to the hotel, if you want to go to the beach, go to the front desk and ask for beach towels, they charged me 3 euro per towel which I thought was a good deal. Go on down to the beach and pay for your beds (7 euro) and umbrella (7 euro). Drinks are very appropriately priced. **Caution** The beach is topless. My final tidbit is the Communidad has a law that you cannot purchase alcohol in a store after 10pm, so now you know what I did not know. Bars stop selling at 1am. (how does that club hop past 2am???)

Overall the hotel is fine, but it is not a spot for you to go city exploring, you are stuck at the beach and it is a fine beach, but is that what you want to do for a week straight?

Loved to stay in hotel Balandret for multiple reasons: beautiful, nicely decorated rooms, great shower, great bed and pillows, no noise. We had a room with city view. Think the rooms with sea views are probably also great but no available anymore when we booked. What else did I like: breakfast! Almost everything you need: small pastries, all kind of bread, nespresso coffee, orange juice, fresh fruit and you could also get fried eggs / screambled eggs and of course great cheese and ham!

Everywhere in the hotel, it is very stylish decorated. The location is very nice. You have the beach, 10min from Ciutat, 25min from Valencia city and 30min till airport. Also close to the marina. And a lot of restaurants in the area. Great to walk and run as well. Our recommendation for restaurant: Ca la mar!

What we did in the 4 days: went to the area El Cabanyal which is just behind the hotel with lovely coloured houses and good restaurants, the marina, the beach of course, ciutat, jardin del turia, Valencia city (house of cats, San Nicolas cathedral, Mercado central,…)

The staff of the hotel is nice, give sufficient explanations. You can rent bikes for EUR12 / day. Good WiFi connection. Very clean. So overall great recommendation for this hotel. Next time I will try the sea view room :-)

The Hotel Balandret is a small and very friendly hotel, right on the beautiful beach. The rooms are clean, modern and well-appointed, and ours looked out over the sea. Breakfasts are excellent, and the staff are very helpful. It is well served by public transport and there is a taxi rank nearby. The ONLY negative is that beach-facing rooms are affected every night by the noise from the Beach Club disco, which blasts out awful music from midday until 3am. I had to buy earplugs to get some sleep. Inland-facing rooms (where our sons stayed) were not affected.

Staff, cleanliness, bed comfort is excellent. Marina nightclub however very loud - maybe time of year - with djs shouting over music and over the weekend fireworks set off on beach outside our window at 3am!!! The location is not good for anyone who likes to sleep before 3.30am. No complimentary tea/coffee/kettle in room and only tiny cups. It would be nice if the hotel had a bar lounge area for eve - not just high stools. Shower good but does not drain well. However, overall the actual hotel itself is lovely.

Wonderful boutique hotel. Perfectly positioned by the beach. Weather was gorgeous.
Hotel spotless and staff so very lovely. Maria on reception was brilliant, as were all receptionists- nothing too much trouble and you got a very warm welcome. Beds unbelievably comfortable and breakfast perfect. A choice of everything you could want and delicious. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel....and hiring their bikes for a wonderful tour of the city on the cycle paths.... simples. Will definitely stay here again. Sue :-)

We stayed in room #10 that has beautiful views of the beach & Mediterranean. Ther are only 6 rooms like that and that makes the visit worth it. One of the front end people....Maria, is one of the kindest most helpful people I've ever encountered at a hotel in my life, and I'm 73. Good breakfast. On one of the best stretches of the beach but.....Too close to a disco club that is noisy. You can't sleep if you open the sliding doors.

I stayed in this lovely hotel for three days. Had a seaview room on the first floor. Good space, very clean and quiet. You do hear the music from the beach club at night time but no problems to sleep. Decent breakfast, helpful staff, good beds and the best hair dryer I have ever had in a hotel. Would stay here again.

There was no secure parking here but we found it very safe and easy, parking outside the hotel. It’s a lovely place and everything is on your doorstep, we didn’t use our car for the whole 4 days. I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful holiday.
