We had an excellent stay at this hotel with our family of 4. The room was very nicely finished and furnished. Brand new all and expensive finishes. Great view from the balcony. Welcome drink in the room to cool off after the hike up the hill and the stairs. There were 189 stairs to our room but it was worth it and the staff carried our luggage up and down so not a big deal but of course not for someone with mobility issues. Beds were superbly comfortable both for parents and kids. All new and very clean in the room. Breakfast served in the room and it was all we needed. I would not be too worried about the hike up. It’s not such a big deal after all. Such a nice place, room, service, view and friendly people that it easily makes up for a bit of a climb.

We had a great stay at the hotel, particularly as base for hiking La Valle de Ferrierre.

The hotel is less than a 10 minute walk from the center of town, but the stairs can be a bit daunting after a full day of walking. Gino was extremely helpful, including in helping carry our luggage up and down the stairs since cars are unable to access. The location is perfect if you want to get away from the busyness of the center of town, while enjoying the beautiful views from the balcony of the valley and Amalfi.

The room was modern, clean and comfortable, and we had a great breakfast on our balcony every morning. Highly recommend!

The view was spectacular and breathtaking! The room was very good and very, very fresh and clean. Nice staff. The best breakfast we had on this trip! And served on a nice terrace. But: you had to order your breakfast the day before (choose the "savory", not the "sweet", is my suggestion) and what time you wanted to have it. And the walk from the town centre to the hotel was terrible, especially the last bit with 80 steps. The 24 hour service was by sms at night, and the bar closed at eight, very disappointing, you do not want to go back down to town and face those stairs again! Bring your own wine . . .

Cozy, clean and family atmosphere. Nice view of the valley and sea beyond Amalfi town centre. Calm and comfortable. Very kind owner who welcomed me at the end of Amalfi town centre. Strongly recommend.

If you are looking for some peace and quite away from the tourists but still want a beautiful view of the sheer cliffs and a bit of the coast, look no further. Spotlessly clean, amazing breakfast, beautiful staff and comfortable beds. The shower was perfect! It is a fair stair climb but absolutely worth it, great value for money and parking wasn't an issue with the garage just down the hill as the hotel is only accessible by foot. We even booked an additional night!

Not often that I give 5 star reviews but this B&B deserves it. It’s a walk up those Amalfi stairs for sure, but Andrei kindly helped with bags up and down. Elena, her daughter and Andrei were wonderful from beginning to end with true Italian hospitality and even stayed up one evening to make us evening tea / coffee! Lovely furnishings and finishes in the room, with fresh, varied breakfasts every day. Only small niggle was patchy WiFi, but we weren’t here for the internet with the spectacular views on offer... Grazie Mille Elena!!

This place is a little gem located in a peaceful setting. The hotel is an energetic short uphill walk away from the town and accessed by some steep steps but with stunning views of the surrounding hills. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home. On arrival we were welcomed with homemade lemonade and Andre showed us around the beautiful garden full of flowers and lemons and comfortable seating areas.

The rooms are immaculately clean with contemporary decor and high quality fittings. The hotel is lovely and quiet and the bed was very comfortable so we slept very well. Breakfast was a lovely experience taken on the patio with the stunning views and there were a number of different options to choose from. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone fit enough to take the steps and would definitely return.

One of the most welcoming places we’ve stayed at in our travels. The hosts Lina and her husband were wonderful hosts, but the one that took the cake was Andre, the catch all guy who helped us with our bags up the 190+ steps to get here, with dinner recommendations, booking a half day private boat ride up the coast and just in general being a nice helpful guy. The level of service is genuine, homely and a breath of fresh air in the commercialized travel industry I’m sure we’re all accustomed to.

The location is a few away from the bustling town square (which is lovely in its own charming way) and the views of the lemon orchards and the valley are impeccable. Our family (rubino) room was great for a family of 4. This is definitely on our list to revisit when we’re back at Amalfi!

Lina went out of her way to make us feel welcome, from greeting us with fresh lemonade on the terrace upon our arrival to arranging baggage transport to and from the ferry. The property is quiet, a little up the hill away from the Amalfi tourist commotion, with lemon trees, flowers and birds. The breakfasts have great coffee, eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, and delicious pastries. The rooms are large, with modern bathrooms and very comfortable beds. I would recommend a stay here for anyone planning an Amalfi coast visit. The beach and coast are striking and bus and ferries provide easy access to other ports.

Welcoming, friendly, hike to get there, but well worth it. Wonderful terrace for breakfast and kind hosts. The setting was beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone who does not mind a little hike to the location rewarded by the beauty and peacefulness of the setting.

How far is your hotel from the NH Collection Grand Hotel by car
Answer from BamReichman
Sunrise Beach, Australia49 contributions41 helpful votes
It is a short stroll to town, but lots of shops and cafes to browse at along the way. The B & B staff are very helpful in getting you up to the Accomodation and giving you directions to the garage if you have a hire car like we did. The road is only open to cars at certain times during the day, it is utilised more for pedestrians. Hope this helps and sorry for the late reply!
