Absolutely avoid at all costs. Not only was the property in complete disgust the staff are barely in existence except when they come to put the breakfast spread on in the tiny corridors (not worth eating anything!) the shower was rusted and didn’t work complained to staff - nothing was done to rectify. No soap holder, shower leaked through whole room, not even tissues supplied and the worst part was the super old stained towels supplied. I would use them as rags. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for 2 rooms and gifted the other party in our group. I am so embarrassed I stayed there and felt robbed. Nothing good about the property except they have wifi.

Room Tip: Tips - don’t stay here ! I showered at the beach as the shower was better and probably more modern

I was traveling with my 83 year old father and booked a night at Residenza Sole. After climbing the very steeps steps up to the building we already saw people waiting outside the building frustrated that there was nobody there. We waited a long time and tried to get in touch with the owner, the pincode for the door didn’t function . When she finally arrived she wasn’t very friendly and we had a bad feeling about the place. We asked if we could see the room and the answer was no, first she wants two passports or she wont show the room. It was a strange situation because she put the key to the room in the door and opened it and with the other hand demanded the passports. We decided not to stay there. I asked if she was going to charge us anyway and the answer was that its just a booking there will be no charge. Of course the next day the full amount was charged by Residenza Sole. I have decided to use booking.com only to find hotels but not to book or pay in advance anymore. Rooms are hardly ever fully booked and its better to get a first feeling of the place and its people. Booking.com still tries to make you believe rooms are almost fully booked but i saw from experience this is never the case. Avoid Residenza Sole.

The staff was very friendly, the girl at reception every morning ask us to make our coffee. Very clean rooms and quite. Very good breakfast. Excellent location but 54 stairs to go there with luggage is the only disadvantage.

This is a lovely small hotel on the Amalfi Coast with beautiful views and lovely rooms. Room was perfect for us and our 2 daughters (11&14) Bathroom was well appointed. Lovely tile work and decor throughout. Breakfast was great and the views from the balcony were wonderful! We would definitely stay here again!

The room was comfortable and the location is great. There’s a bus stop literally 50 meters away from the front door, albeit up as well as along but there’s no getting away from that in Amalfi. The lady looking after us was lovely and breakfast good. Great coffee.

I don't know where to begin. My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights (thankful it was a short stay), but it was still too long. The receptionist was rude from the get go. The front door is locked at all times. Didn't realize that when we first arrived and had issues getting in. We were immediately scolded by the receptionist not to pull or push on the door without the code. Thank you, but a call button outside would probably be helpful. The room itself was fine. Nothing special. However, if you leave the door to your room open too long an alarm will sound. Very annoying. The towels are more like tablecloths, no joke. I requested two additional towels the first day and got them. I then requested additional towels the second day since we wouldn't let our room be cleaned by staff, but the receptionist said she had to check on additional towels. I then asked if we are limited in the number of towels we can receive, and she once again said she would need to check. Needless to say, we did not receive any additional towels regardless of our request. Remember how I mentioned there was an alarm on the guest room door? There's also an alarm on the front door. To exit the hotel, you have to place a key fob over the door. However, people constantly forget to remove the key fob, which triggers an alarm. Our room was right next to the front door so I had to get up multiple times each night to remove the fob and stop the alarm from sounding. Not sure why the receptionist didn't get up, but it was incredibly frustrating as a guest to be woken up by an alarm from the front door. My recommendation? Stay somewhere else.

This location was great, 5 min walking distance to the local beach.. which was very convenient. Also 5 min walk to the main restaurants and shops! Excellent location! Great breakfast and lovely people running it! Definitely would recommend this hotel, and would stay here again, next time we are visiting Amalfi. Thank you!

Our room and bathroom was clean and spacious, with good amenities. The beds were comfortable. The inn was well-kept and their location was great. They served delicious breakfast with a variety of choices, which we ate on the balcony with a terrific view. And the receptionist, Ana Lisa, was so nice and patient to our big group of 16 people!

The most memorable part of staying here is its breakfast! The typical Italian breakfast is served in a large balcony, facing the sea. The stay was decent. The rooms are not very sound-proof, as I could hear sounds from the neighboring room, which was a family of 4. The bed and sheets were clean. The location of this hotel is its selling point, as its a 3 minute walk from the beach, and the touristy part of Amalfi. The lady running the place, was very friendly, and upgraded me to a room with direct access to the balcony.

Been there with a friend for 4 nights. Huge room, lovely breakfast. Fresh croissant in the morning were so tasty. Nice Terrace with a nice view. So close to the sea. Bathroom was really curate. Everyday new Towels. Clean, perfect Position. The only thing I didn't like were the stairs to get in: I'm very lazy :D
