Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Floridiana Hotel is a fantastic place just steps from the Amalfi Duomo. The rooms are big, updated, and clean. Breakfast is included and is awesome, Due to COVID, it is not buffet style but they provide a daily menu with great options. Outside one of the entrances is a small grocery store with lots of local items with reasonable prices. Agnese from the front desk is very helpful. I emailed a few questions before I arrived and she was very helpful with quick helpful advice.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the middle of tourist season and absolutely loved it. It was easy to find despite being down a narrow alley. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. It's an older style building but the rooms were very thoughtfully appointed and felt extremely clean. I can't stress how CLEAN the rooms felt, especially compared to the low standard set by the rest of Italy. One word of warning however... If you're on the 1st floor, there is some kind of crowded B&B directly above with a very busy communal area. Every evening, until after midnight, we had a nonstop parade of loud footsteps, furniture being moved around and things being dropped upstairs. Being an older building, it's extremely loud and disturbing to anyone who wants to sleep at a normal hour. Whoever decided to open up a tacky hostel-style business upstairs has no regard for their neighbours and has completely ruined all the hard work put into Floridiana hotel.

Loved our stay at this charming and well located hotel. Deserves all the fabulous reviews. We stayed for 4 nights while doing lots of walks and sightseeing around the coast. Bed and shower plus aircon excellent. If you get the modern shower it was a little tricky to know what to do but when set at the right temperature was fabulous. Good breakfast and close to everything. Our favourite restaurant is a few steps away Taverna Buonvicino.

Hotel looks like it has recently invested in a make-over. The room I stayed in had a jacuzzi bath and king size bed. The dining room is beautiful and is a pleasure to have breakfast in. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel has it’s own garage so if you’re driving the coast this is really helpful and convenient.

At the start of our adventure walking the Amalfi coast this was a great way to start the trip. Lovely building, friendly service and the room you eat breakfast in had the most amazing art on the ceiling. Also the rooms are interesting - ours had a mezzanine floor and whilst we never got up to the room we would definitely have made use of the got tub on another day.

This was our first trip top Amalfi and when traveling to a new destination for the first time, there is always a little trepidation about accommodations and where they are located. In peak of season we visited Amalfi and the city was bustling with tourists. Our driver dropped us in the town square as our hotel was just off the main street of Amalfi and closed to vehicle traffic. It as a few short blocks through hundreds of people to arrive at our hotel. Once inside, you would have thought we were in the countryside, it was so quiet. All the staff we encountered were professional, friendly and helpful. The accommodations were very clean. It is a simple place with European breakfast included each day. If you are looking for a reasonable stay in a great location, this it.

This is a good hotel. The room and bathroom are big and clean. The location is also good, right beside de main square and the famous church. Although this could also be a downside, the bell from the church literally rings all the time starting at 6:30am. The staff members are very friendly. The breakfast is average, there are a lot of options, but the food doesn’t seem very fresh. The rooftop is cute.

Response from Agnese Marino, Owner at Floridiana Hotel
Responded 28 Sept 2022
Dear Ms Karen, thank you for your review, I'm sorry for the ringing of the bell which starts at 7:00 am, unfortunately it does not depend on us, if you close the window it is much better and, in any case, the advantage of being in the center has its negative sides, Amalfi is not only a tourist place but, many local people live here with their daily habits that we cannot change. I also wanted to specify that our products are always prepared daily as you can read from the other reviews. Greetings

The Hotel Floridiana sits in the center of Amalfi, steps, from the town square. Rooms very nice and spacious.
Breakfast was more than expected and varied each day. There is elevator access to the lobby and each floor. The service from the people at the reception desk to servers and housekeeping were exceptional.
We highly recommend it.

Right in the center of Amalfi. Really comfortable bed, big bathroom and great breakfast. Loved it! Loved finding it through this small alley and also finding the elevator! Very helpful people at the front desk helping me find my lost luggage.
