La pergola restaurant is incredible - we had two dinners and breakfast here and both impressed us. All the ingredients are fresh from the farm and vegetable groves that sit behind the kitchen. The staff are knowledgable and very attentive. The attention to detail is great too - they are happy to make things specially and give recommendations.

On top of the food, the lemonade made from the lemon groves adjacent was amazing- really refreshing after a day in the sun.

If all that was enough, the view from the restaurant is the best bit. As well as overlooking a lush gorge, it also has a great sea view.

The breakfast was also lovely, with great coffee, fruit and pastries/ Italian style pies. If you like eggs and bacon there is also really good helpings of that too.

Highly enjoyed and highly recommend :)

A really good experience: comfortable room, quite and clean, practical garage (can leave the car keys), not too far from Amalfi center (can go by foot, even if the nicer path, out of the traffic, is a bit steep).
Very good breakfast with fantastic cakes hand made by the nice lady owner (who also offered us a very appreciated lemon sorbetto upon arrival!), and perfect scrambled eggs. Half board allows to choose different main courses every evening from the menu, always quite big portion really tasty, with lots of fish.
Good hints from the owners and staff for visiting around (there is so much to see!), we used mostly the (small) car: despite the narrow roads, you can get quickly used to the driving style (probably more difficult later on in the season, but then, could choose to take the bus). We even had a boat trip to Capri reserved for us in no time.

Six days spent at this gem of a hotel. Family run establishment where the staff could not have been more attentive or helpful. Perfectly positioned to explore the Amalfi coast but away from the hustle and bustle. Regular buses go from outside the hotel that travel up and down the coast. The crowning glory of this hotel is the food, all fruit and vegetables grown in the gardens above the hotel and beautiful homemade pasta. We could not find better food. I would highly recommend this hotel to you, especially the rooms with a balcony for the warmer months.

The concierge is orrible and without any preparation and knowledge, they don't care about costumers at all and, the owner I think was one of slimiest I've ever seen with my girlfriend. The rooms are clean but with very small bathrooms and the air conditioning its pretty incapacited. The only positive thing is part of the breakfast with delicious home made pies but the rest of the meal its awful

This is a review of the restaurant. Breathtaking views. The food and its preparation were clearly passion projects. The staff were fantastic. The chef came out and met us. If you are in the area (or close to it), worth the effort to home in on this hidden gem and let your taste buds be luxuriated!

5-10 minutes by taxi or bus from the town of Amalfi, Italy. It has amazing views and walk in is flat from the road.
They have a lift, terrace for lounging, restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
They sell bus tickets, and the bus stops right outside the door.
Various room options, ours was small twin. It had everything we needed.

My wife and I had to last minute cancel our Airbnb because we were arriving too late. Luckily we were able to book la pergola and boy are we happy we did. The staff was super friendly and helpful explaining the bus system for us. The rooms thiugh dated, which I believe is part of the charm here in amalfi, had everything we needed. Beds were comfy, fresh towels, what more can you want? Not like we were in our room besides to shower and sleep!

Lovely lovely hotel would 10/10 recommend

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel La Pergola. There is a bus stop right outside the front doors. A 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach. A 20 minute walk to the city center. Staff was great. Very helpful and attentive. Hotel has a beautiful terrace where we enjoyed breakfast every morning and a drink over looking the sea in the evenings

Our second visit. The food is out of those world. Lovely, clean, friendly family run hotel.
There's a lovely beach around 10 minutes away but it's a long climb up and down...but worth it. Advisable to book for dinner in the hotel, it appears popular with locals

La pergola is a bit further from the city of Amalfi, but a leaves from there and it is half an hour walk. There is a parking service at the hotel, so that is great. The service was good, the room sufficient and the view good. The only thing missing was a nice cozy bar, but for the rest everything was perfect.

There is a lift, it's built into the side of a hill. I believe there are some English language TV but I wasn't there to watch TV so I don't remember clearly. Approximately one mile from Amalfi but the G.A.S. bar is only 150 meters or so from this hotel.
