The Residenza Luce Boutique Hotel is a reasonable and great choice for where to stay in Amalfi. And Amalfi is a great base for exploring much of the Amalfi Coast. From Residenza Luce it’s a five minute walk down Via Lorenzo d’Amalfi, the main street running through the center of town, and through the Piazza del Duomo to the lungomare and the ferries, busses, and taxis which can transport you to the scenic wonders of this area. Parking is also available if you are driving. Countless food, drink, and shopping options are steps away. I booked a Superior en suite which was decorated in beautiful Amalfi ceramic tile with French doors opening to a private balcony and a view of Duomo bell tower and cliffs above. The buffet breakfast, on the roof terrace, was one of the best of my trip. The owner, Vincenzo Celia, with his son, and his mother in law, Lydia, lead a wonderful, friendly staff who keep the place spotlessly clean. Vincenzo also brought my bags from and to the ferry dock. L’Abside Restaurant, owned by Vincenzo’s aunt, Giovanna, is a few steps away, and is so good that I dined there several times, as did other guests of Residenza Luce, as well as people I ran into there more than once who were staying elsewhere. L’Abside is on a small piazza with indoor and outdoor seating, attentive service, and superior Campania cuisine. It is one of the best dining experiences I had during my three weeks in Naples, Capri, and the Amalfi Coast. I highly recommend L’Abside.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay in Amalfi, and we couldnt have had a better experience at this hotel. From the start where the lovely owner Vincenzo came to meet us in the square (we'd asked him to book us a transfer from the airport) to the end it was fantastic. The room was a suite and it was light and bright, spacious and incredibly clean with the perfect view from our balcony. It was surprisingly busy for October this year but the shutters blocked the noise out at night so we had a wonderful relaxing sleep in a very comfy bed. This was just the best location right in the heart of Amalfi - easy for walking, eating out, and getting buses and ferries. The breakfast was delicious with a good range of fresh local produce and we had two very lovely ladies looking after us at breakfast. Vincenzo and his family gave us a really warm welcome and we were sad to leave at the end of the holiday. The transfers booked through the hotel are very reasonably priced compared to other local taxi options and both drivers we got were professional friendly and helpful.

Leaving Residenza Luce was like leaving your closest family. This is all you need to know about this beautiful boutique hotel ideally located and run by Vincenzo and his lovely family. The rooms are beautifully appointed, complete with every comfort required. A full breakfast with variety, freshly made pastries, omelettes, fruit, vegetables, meats and cheeses await you every morning for enjoyment on the rooftop terrace where Lovely Lydia greets you with a welcome and Italian lesson of the day, if needed. Reservations, recommendations, history lessons are all part of the benefits of staying with Vincenzo and his family. And do not miss having dinner at his family’s restaurant, L’Abside, for an amazing meal of Amalfi coast specialties. We could not have asked for better service and we have stayed at Waldorf properties worldwide. Never have I been so emotional departing. Ciao, Vincenzo, and grazie mille for taking such great care of us!

This is most definitely a 5 star hotel. Vincenzo and his family are so accommodating. We arrived via private car and were met by a family member who grabbed our 2 suitcases, walked through the piazza, and ran them up to our room. Vincenzo was able to get us a reservation for our first night’s dinner at a great restaurant. He and his family are great at recommending places to go and how to get there. The rooms are absolutely spotless. Great view of the bustlings of Amalfi. You can sit on your porch, overlooking the street, and enjoy a glass of wine. Breakfast is included and is on the roof terrace. Cappuccino, Latte, Cafe Americano all made to order. Huge selection of the freshest vegetables, fruits, meat and cheese. Absolutely delicious. If you decide to go to the beach, they provide towels and a tote bag. Location is perfect. We loved our stay here. Grazie!!!

Vincenzo and the entire staff were absolutely amazing, extremely friendly, and very accommodating. Great family run operation, you can tell everyone takes pride in running a first class hotel. The entire property is immaculately clean, and rooms are well appointed with great wifi, mini bar, and comfortable beds. Breakfast every morning on the rooftop terrace was great, that's also when the staff's friendliness really shines. If that weren't enough already, the location of the property couldn't be more perfect. You're right in the middle of town, easy walking distance to the beach, pier/ferry for excursions leaving from Amalfi, or for the Lemon Tour and Paper Museum up the hill.

Five out of five.. Vinnie & his family & crew really made us feel welcome & didn’t hesitate to help us with anything we asked for or needed assistance with. Our corner room was superb .. with balcony’s on both sides & plenty of light, overlooking the main shopping street! The breakfast service on the upstairs patio was delicious ! Will be back!

This was the perfect place to stay for a family vacation. Prior to the trip, Vincenzo was very helpful and answered all of my emailed questions. Once there, Vincenzo and his family were friendly and clearly put service first. They made us feel so welcome and his advice for which local beach or restaurant to go to was perfect. He booked us our ride back to the airport, made dinner reservations, and booked us on a boat to a local private beach. The hotel is right in the center of everything, in walking distance to shops, restaurants, beaches and hiking. The rooms were spacious and very clean and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay again.
