A good budget hotel close to the centre and 10 mins walk from the train station. The hotel was immaculate, with rooms cleaned every day, a/c and helpful staff. There was a kettle and two mugs in the room and the towels were changed daily - two things I was not expecting. Though fronting a busy street, the street was quiet in the evenings and the double glazing cut out all noise. My only criticism is that there was no prior information on the €30 deposit - either in the booking confirmation or on the web-site or in the information inside the room. I do not mind paying a deposit but it should have been made clear at the time of booking, especially as payment for the booking and deposit was required in cash. (The city tax - listed on the web-site as €1 a night - was also more than expected.) …
We stayed for four nights in the DolceVita and were very pleased with it. Our room was clean and had all we needed plus more. It was light and airy, and with a silent aircon system which was a real bonus. Also our room had a kettle, a fridge, and a Juliet balcony. The bed was very comfortable and there was enough storage space. Shower was roomy and effective. Wifi consistent and fast. The owner/manager and receptionist are not there for 24 hours, but they do seem to be there quite a lot so it is easy to get information. They are both very pleasant and helpful. The location is excellent. Right in the middle of Sorrento, on a busy pedestrianised road lined with shops and restaurants. It is not noisy, though as the double glazing plus shutters keeps noise out. Things to be aware of is: the hotel floor is up two flights of stairs and there is no lift; breakfast isn't included. Not a problem for us though. I definitely would recommend.…
Ettore makes you feel very at home and if you have a problem or a question just ask him.A lovely lady helps out there as well but cant remember her name. Situated in the heart of Sorrento down a quaint street. The room we stayed in was spot on.Very clean and clean towels every day.The air con was superb.
Stayed here recently with my Brother and Niece it's in a great location within walking distance of all the main attractions in Sorrento . It's Family owned and Ettore was so helpful and advised on where to eat , when to travel to Pompeii and how best to do it. We also wanted to do a boat trip and Ettore actually walked us to the booking location. Nice to know there are still places like this out there with the personal touch ! Would definitely stay here again.
We really have enjoyed our two nights at DolceVita! It is located on a quaint narrow old street, buzzing with activity during the day, but quite at night! The host and hostess were very accommodating in helping us get settled and orientated. Sorrento is very clean, friendly, and inviting. We enjoyed a great seafood dinner the first night, and a fabulous tour of the Amalfi coast the next day! Would have stayed longer!
