We stayed at the Villa Maria in mid-January, a hugely off-season period. Unlike many other four star plus hotels the Villa Maria stays open during this period. The only draw back is the kitchen is closed for any evening dining. The hotel is nicely furnished with plenty of Murano glass and other antiques. The staff are incredibly helpful and very...

We were supposed to stay at the Villa Maria in Ravello but my friend accidentally booked this hotel instead for six nights. At the time of arrival, we told the management that we would stay four nights and tried to cancel the last two nights. On the website they say you can cancel at anytime. Since we pointed this out,...

Stayed here for 7 nites, with a group. Hotel is pretty dated, but clean. The room was cleaned and towels changed every day. We had a room with French balcony with lovely view to the Bay and Vesuvius. Buffet breakfast has loads of choice, but the "fruit juices" were so diluted, and the coffee in jugs pretty horrible. Several types...

This small and friendly hotel was situated just off the main street making it the ideal spot, quiet but within easy walking distance to the centre of town. It had all the necessary amenities, including a lovely pool and pool bar. The restaurant was excellent and the food was of great quality, variety and abundance! The staff were friendly and...

Good location but very average hotel. Room size was fine if somewhat dated and worn in parts. Housemaid kept it clean on a daily basis. Balcony was very very small and metal chairs without cushion were impossible to sit on, view on first floor was not good. Pool was tiny and to be honest dirty.....tiles coming up and green slime...

Villa Maria on the edge of the town quiet and homely with roof terrace and swimming pool. Friendly staff, good decoration and comfortable lounge, free wi-if in lobby. Bedrooms not large but adequate with comfortable beds and safe if required €7. Restaurant waiter service for lunch and dinner three courses with four choices, though not enough vegetables for me. Breakfast...

This time it was the hotel Villa Maria – and it was a good choice. I like “this side” of Sorrento as it’s close to the center, much less traffic invested than east/inland from the center and easy walking down to Marina Grande We stayed 7 nights and found functional and clean rooms set back a bit from the main...

Very simple hotel with basic things to stay - bed, shower, TV and wardrobe. Clean enough to be relaxed. Slow pay-WiFi. Breakfast is average, nothing more. Hotel has tiny pool on 2-floor with overpriced bar. Hotel fits well olnly for 1-2 days stay at Sorrento, not for longer stay.

The best feature of this hotel is its convenient location at one end of Sorrento's main street. This means it's a level walk to the main square, the little shopping alleyways, and a multitude of bars and restaurants. Sorrento is VERY steep in places and some of the hotels in picturesque settings are a struggle to get to. The hotel...
