Transportation between the hotel and Sorrento’s city is well organised, we had some reservations where we needed to be in the city early and it was ok. Breakfast was good. The owner and everyone else was great. We enjoyed the outside jaccuzi.
This hotel is not central (8 km from Sorrento in the mountains, near San Agata) but very good spot and easy to get to Sorrento either with the free shuttle, or the public bus (cheap, every 30 minutes) or even by walk: 30 minutes to get to Sorrento. Very good place also for hiking (a lot of hikes from San Agata). Better to have a car. They provide with free parking. No swimmingpool (the image on the web site is the swimmingpool of the hotel next to it) but it seems that they have a project to build one if they get the authorization. Very nice family hotel, Giovanni is very nice and speaks French! Very good restaurant: the fresh pasta made by the Grand Mother are just great! The 18 Euro menu is gorgious and very cheap. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back! Sorrento is a great place.…
They are outstanding! The owner is always there kind and beyond helpful. He helped us up with our luggage and set up excursions last minute. Their breakfast is DELICIOUS and dinners are beyond delicious. We tried all the food and enjoyed dinner at this hotel the most. I’m just sad I didn’t know about the lemoncello gelato they serve at this hotel earlier. Outstanding I would definitely recommend staying here. I was so nervous driving up there but it’s the best hotel. Also don’t use taxis they charged us €50 just to get up there, shuttle bus is short walk from Napoli train station and right outside the hotel. But I do NOT RECOMMEND CIRCUMVESUVIANA FROM NAPOLI TO SORRENTO ITS A NIGHTMARE, people on top of each other most of time one train that’s super late going that way and it’s packed with locals along with tourists. Lost of wallets stolen and phones since I’m not joking you are standing and breathing on each other. Seahorse will charge €25 a person and get you right to your hotel or get a private driver from Napoli to Sorrento €85 euro for a van easily fits 4-5 people. I was so mad because no one ever mentions this in their reviews so I hope you read this so you save yourself from a nightmare. Plan ahead.…
This hotel Is not very centrally located but has a free hourly shuttle bus down to Sorento. The room was a little on the small side. That’s the limitations but everything else is excellent! Spotless rooms. Excellent food. Great view. Most of all however is the quality of the staff. The family that run this hotel provide wonderful, friendly, helpful service. I can’t believe this hotel is listed as only 3 star. The services feel like 5 star. White linen table cloths and 24hr desk.
If only I could wake up to that view every day! This hotel is up in the hills but the free shuttle bus easily gets you to and from town if you choose to go there. The staff are so warm and friendly, and breakfast - mini Spanish omelettes and pannacotta topped with fresh strawberries amongst many other things - was lovely every morning. You can book excursions through the hotel which is great and of course, the hot tubs are most welcome after a long, hot day out. Would we stay again? Absolutely!!
