Our money was stolen from a closed safe in the room. They threatened to call the police, not even letting us see the cameras! 500 euros and 300 dollars! We were in Sorrento in the "hotel" Villa di Sorrento in 42 room on the 4th floor with a terrace from 4 to 7 August 2023! We actually booked the hotel on the spot because we arrived at night from Rome in heavy rain. From 4 to 6 August we paid 150€+200€=350€ for 2 nights in cash, we were given 2 electronic keys, one of which we always left in the room so that the air conditioner always worked, we were not given the KEY to the safe these days, so the safe was not used. Then, on August 6, we check out of the hotel, hand over the electronic keys (they were not deactivated by them), and decide to go to Positano. We go to the stop, after waiting for the bus for 40 minutes in the heat, we decided that we would return back to the hotel and check in again at Villa di Sorrento, in the same 42 room, we paid 100 € in cash and 70 € by card = 170 €. This time we also take 2 electronic keys and a boorish and rude blonde from the reception Christina, swearing and calling names in Italian thinking that we don’t understand))) gives us the KEY to the safe. For you to understand, their safe is not a code safe, but with a regular key! And so, on August 6 at 17:17 we return to the room from the ferry from the island of Capri, leave the money in the safe (we do not argue that we ourselves are fools that we left money in this miserable hotel), and go to Marameo beach, then at 19:20 we return to the room to change clothes, and leave again for dinner at 20:02. Our departure from the hotel is seen by a tall guy with glasses Lyu. All photo and video evidence is there. Then, from 20:09 to 20:20, we were in a company where we wanted to rent a scooter for the whole next day on 08/07/23 at Corso Italia 253 (there is photo evidence), but as a result, after filling out almost all the documents, we could not rent a scooter as our Russian credit card is not working and it was not possible to leave a cash deposit either. We immediately went from there to have dinner at the D'Anton design & bistrot restaurant at Piazza Sant'Antonino and were there already at 20:30 (photo also). At this very time, that is, while we were trying to rent the scooter! our room was visited twice, at 20:16 and at 20:20! There is a photo of the time one of our keys was used (they didn't deactivate our keys on the first check out on August 6 in the morning and used it to enter our room under our own names😂 and it doesn't matter! We were at a different address!!!) There is a photo from the phone of the owner of the hotel Fabiana, where, in correspondence with the hotel employee Novella Trofa, they themselves painted our entrances to the room from their base in the computer during the proceedings and set themselves up by showing me this, 20:16 and 20:20! These crew didn't even bother to add up our money since it was originally lying around! They stole 500€ and 300$ from a locked SAFE! And they could steal, as it turned out later, my husband’s expensive relic watch or my Cartier jewelry, which apparently attracted the attention of these thieves, and which, thank God, we didn’t leave in the room !!! I was horrified later when I started reading the reviews, and saw that they were already stealing jewelry from the guests, attributed unused drinks from the mini bar, and tossed empty bottles. Also about ants that some guests "brought" with them in a suitcase! This is laughter! Blonde Christina from the reception to the question of who came to our room while we physically could not even be near the hotel and Provide recordings from the camera, which they have hanging over the reception desk and filming the entrance to the hotel, they started speaking specifically in Italian, not in English, and began to threaten the police, quote: “Go out right now or I will call the police” 👏🏼 and that's all they can do😂 Dear Fabiana - your hotel is your face, your reputation as you said ... it's a pity that your reputation is at such a cheap price. The most unpleasant thing is that the owner Fabiana promised us to find out who came to our room, she asked to give her 24 hours to investigate, apparently hoping that we would fly home, but in the end she deceived and slandered us and threatened the police. We really hoped that the owner of the hotel herself was not aware of these dirty deeds, and that her employees set her up like that, steal and deceive tourists, but we were deeply mistaken. It's good for you to rest on our money 😘 The benefits - thanks for not stealing all the money!!))) This time we rested in Rome in an excellent hotel, in Sorrento, in Positano! We have been to Miami, Dubai, Spain, the Maldives, etc., but we did not expect this! We went to save our pockets, but we had to just read the reviews ... and choose another hotel in Sorrento! We arrived at night from Rome, there was heavy rain, otherwise I would have spent more time studying the reviews and the hotel, as I always do.

This hotel is perfectly situated near Tasso Piazza! Our room faced the street but it was extremely quiet. We didn’t hear any noise. The rooms are well lit and very clean. The staff is very helpful, Novella & Stefano and the others who took care of us were friendly and very accommodating. We needed an early breakfast before we left on our tour and they made sure it was packed in the morning ready to go before the dining room even opened. They gave us fresh cafes too! The cooks and servers really put on a wonderful morning buffet. You will be very happy if you choose to stay here! I highly recommend it! I will be back!

Room had bugs and we had to change hotels. They tried a disinfectation procedure but it was evident they had an infestation problem for quite some time. They also said the bugs may have come with our luggage but it turns out all our things were bug-free and the bugs obviously did not set up a whole colony just overnight. They offered and did provide us another room, but we decided staying at this hotel after sleeping with the bugs just wasn’t an option.

We stayed for 5 nights in October 22. We liked the location of the hotel, it is centrally located in the town, 5 min walk to the train station and walking distance to a great many restaurants. The hotel is very clean, rooms are cleaned and new laundry provided daily. There is a breakfast buffet, continental style. There is no hot food other than one can boil their own eggs, however there is plenty of variety of breads, pastry, yogurt, limited fruits, cold cuts, pastries etc. The item remain the same daily so it may get boring. The reception staff is wonderful and very helpful to your needs. We booked our excursions from the hotel and they all worked out very well, very convenient and perhaps a bit cheaper. Even though the hotel is next to a busy street we did not hear the noise at night and did not affect our sleep. Ouur room was basic but the bathroom with shower was roomy.

We began this trip with a slight disagreement but ended the trip completely satisfied and extremely happy with the service. The hotel is clean, has a great location, and service was super friendly. In regards to the disagreement on the front end, without us asking for or expecting anything the hotel graciously took care of the issue.

Stayed one night here, the location is incredible, however the AC didn't work at all, so you're baking in the summer heat, bed not very comfortable. As such, didn't sleep very well. They have breakfast which was nice.

We booked a 2-br apartment with Hotel Villa di Sorrento. We knew the apartment was not part of the hotel but in a separate building, and prayed that it would not be too far away from the centre of town. We needn't have worried! It's only 2 mins' walk away, across Piazza Tasso, from the hotel itself. The location was fabulous! Just few steps from Corso Italia and Piazza Tasso, on first floor. There was a master bedroom with king-sized bed complete with en-suite dressing room and master bathroom, living room which was converted into 2nd bedroom (there were 5 of us) with a double bed and a single sofabed. There was a 2nd bathroom and a kitchen with pots and pans and crockery and cutlery. The entire apartment was air-conditioned. There were 2 tiny balconies which looked out to the lane below and the Piazza in the background. Its fantastic location meant we could walk out for shopping or exploring Corso Italia or a meal, return to rest and offload our shopping, and go out again easily. All in all, we loved this place!

Wonderful staff. Fabiana is a gem. She arranged a guided tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum with Dario, who is a fantastic guide. The hotel is a great location, near restaurants and shopping. The breakfast was excellent. I will recommend to anyone who wants to visit the Amalfi Coast

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is in the middle of the tourist area and very convenient, a 10 minute walk to the bus and train station. Good size room and very clean. Lots of choices for breakfast but you need to boil your own eggs for soft or hard boiled. Takes too long and would like to have some scrambled eggs available. There is a car park just down the road for 30 euro a day.
