We stayed at the Hotel Metropole for just 1 night, but found it very nice for a longer stay. The hotel is not modern, but it is clean and has very good facilities and is a close walk to the center of Sorrento. There is free parking, a beautiful pool area and lush grounds to enjoy. You can walk right...

We absolutely loved this holiday. The hotel was typically Italian; tiled rooms, dark furniture and very continental. The breakfast buffet with its huge selection and yummy, buttery scrambled eggs was very delicious. Wonderful coffee too. The evening menu was a quite ordinary however, and after two meals, we chose to eat in other restaurants.....the one next door was lovely!!! We...

We stayed at this hotel near town of sorrento Nice and clean hotel , breakfast good, we only did bed and breakfast because we wanted to try different restaurants but when we went to the restaurant next to the hotel it was that nice we didn't try other ones I'd say best restaurant in Italy and the family that run...

My wife and I stayed here for a week mid October 2016. As many have said this hotel is situated on an incline and the traffic is busy, as it is everywhere. At first daunting to walk on the pave-less road. It is just a short distance and even though I am disabled managed to walk back and fore to...

We stayed here when our travel agent changed our original accommodation. It is a 15-20 minute windy bus ride into Sorrento from this hotel. You can get very cheap bus tickets from the reception for under two euros. You have to stand on the road and wait for the bus outside the hotel but no bus or other vehicle will...

First the positives. Room was clean, good, clean beds, clean bathroom with useful bidet. Our room eventually had views of the Golfo di Napoli. Nice balcony with French doors overlooking a noisy main road, but when the doors were closed the noise was very subdued. Problem was the aircon, it didn't work so the choice was - French doors open,...

Never found out about the "courtesy bus" in spite of asking. at reception. "timetable" seemed to be good but if you can't identify it or where it stops not a lot of use. Had phone problem - friends in Naples trying to ring us - reception said we were engaged which we weren't. Eventually got them to make the call...

The hotel looks quite appealing from outside but the room we were given was not so appealing. It was at the back on the ground floor, dark with a view out the patio doors onto a very high wall. The patio area was not very private and had only a small table and upright chairs, nothing to be comfortable on. The...
