This is the first time I wrote a review for any thing but felt that I have to. This is without a doubt the most friendly and wonderful hotel I have ever stayed at. My wife and I travel a lot all over the world...More
My partner and I returned from Italy a few weeks ago and I am not the type of person to write online reviews, but La Minerva deserves it. I am extremely picky when it comes to traveling and I just loved La Minerva. I was...More
We used trip advisor to choose somewhere for our honeymoon and it didn't disappoint. We loved La Minerva and are already planning our return (we are still on our honeymoon!) Antonino was delightful and the warmth of all the staff made us feel very welcome....More

I agree with Brian M. that day trips are a hassle. Best to spend 4 nights in one spot, as each town offers lovely hikes and views. I have been to Capri 10+ times, most recently for a full week. There is plenty to do there, if you like to walk. Positano is fun for no more than 2 days. I love Calabria: Monopoli, Lecce, Alberobello. Unlike the Amalfi Coast, Calabria is a region in which you can stay at one place and make day trips as long as you have a car. The drive from Naples is about 2 hours and easy, and the Bari airport is a good hub.
