Casa del Monacone is much more than a B&B: converted from the convent adjoining the Basilica di Santa Maria della Sanità, it has become an accommodation project, run by the La Paranza cooperative. Six ensuite rooms , a large terrace and a communal lounge, welcoming environments that retain an ancient warmth. Casa del Monacone is located in the main square in the Sanità neighbourhood, just minutes from the the historic centre of Naples and a stone's throw away from the many cultural and artistic attractions that the area has to offer.

Our little getaway to Naples would not have been the same if we had not stayed at Casa Monacone and Rione Sanitâ.
Casa Monacone is located in the Sanitâ neighborhood, about 15 minutes walk from the Duomo. It occupies part of what was the convent attached to the Parish of Santa María de la Sanitâ.
The room is austere but does not lack anything: air conditioning, refrigerator, soundproof. The bed is comfortable and soft. The pillows are a little thick for our taste, but it is something that depends on taste. The quality of sleep is good considering the hustle and bustle of the city and neighborhood.
The sink is complete although the shower may be small for larger people like my wife and me. Equipped with courtesy set.
The correct cleaning.
Breakfast, included in the price, is served from 8 to 10 in the morning and although it is complete, some pieces of fruit are missing (juice is included).
And when talking about the management, it is perhaps talking about the best thing about the accommodation. Our stay would not have been the same without Marco, our "consigliere" in Naples, who contacted us the day before and told us the best way to access the hotel from the airport. As we arrived on the day of San Gennaro, patron saint of Naples, he directed us to the Duomo mass, a real event in the city. He answered all our questions, always giving us an alternative to avoiding the most touristy topics regarding restoration and monumental offerings. In short, a ten for your predisposition and advice.
And thanks to Giuseppe, with his help we stretched the last day in the city until late in the afternoon. Thanks to them and the entire staff of La Casa del Monacone, belonging to La Paranza, a cooperative that manages work for young people in the neighborhood who otherwise might not have a decent job opportunity with a future.
Many thanks for everything.

Such a fantastic little find. This is a lovely community-led business that is run by a team who has the neighborhood’s interest at heart. The manager and company went out of their way to make sure we found the place ok and were settled in, despite coming in many hours late due to a delayed flight. I challenge you to find a B&B who cares quite as much in the more popular tourist district! Rione Sanita is the perfect location to base yourself. You can easily visit the catacombs, Archeological museum, and the lovely Capodimonte park at the top of the hill. The few times we wondered into the tourist district, we were always ready to return home to Rione Sanita. Naples is such a wonderful city, just take our word and stay in this cozy district. Breakfast was tasty, showers are small, but hot with good pressure, and AC works great. Overall all a very comfortable stay. Good luck to the team and thank you for taking great care of us.

Returning from Sicily, 2 days in Naples to conclude our family holiday. Top marks for this location in the Sanità district (with affiliated garage parking): as a room, a mini apartment with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen available, very beautiful and comfortable; Marco and Rita welcomed us with great hospitality and with many suggestions on how to visit the city (first time for us in Naples). The included breakfast is also excellent. Highly recommended, we will return

We have been to Naples several times, but this is the first time we have come to the Casa del Monacone. We booked on the recommendation of my mother, who has family in Naples. We had a great time throughout. Communications before arriving were good, clear, and fast. The welcome upon our arrival was good, even though it was late and the reception was closed (9pm). All it took was one call and we were immediately at the door. The room was clean and comfortable, with the possibility of cleaning every day. Very good breakfast. The staff is always friendly and very professional, and ready to give directions on how to get around, what to visit, where to eat, etc. Perfect guides. La Paranza's work to revalue the Sanitá neighborhood is fantastic and is bearing great fruit.

I stayed with my 10-year-old daughter for the weekend in Naples at Cas del Monacone and can only warmly recommend the property.
The two guys/gentlemen of the accommodation were always very friendly and helpful.
Checking in until 9pm is also a great service. With us it was even a little later, but without problems possible.
The room was just right and clean. Breakfast was adequate for us. The Cornettos were excellent.
The location is also very "Italian" - in a not yet so touristically developed neighborhood of Naples called Sanitá Rione. Therefore - for a non-Italian like me - very lively in the evening and night ;-) - especially at weekends. But this is the Italian lifestyle.
The property is also close to a metro station and the National Archaeological Museum. And right above the catacombs of San Gaudioso.
Ca. 150m away is also a parking garage for people who come by (rental) car.
In summary: the Casa del Monacone is a highly recommended accommodation in Naples :-)

Perfect location for visiting the Sanità district and all of Naples. The rooms are beautiful and functional and are located on the second floor of a structure where you can also access the catacombs of San Genesio. The structure is managed by the La Paranza cooperative which is also the promoter of the new development of the district thanks to the commitment of many young people

Non è un B&B... è mto di più!
Clean, welcoming, quiet, spacious, safe.......
The staff is at 🔝
Giuseppe, Marco and the others! are the added value of this challenge to restore LIGHT to the Rione Sanità
Pass the word, it is the least that each of us can do so that the House continues to live and allow so many young people to live in legality 🤞🙏🍀🐞

The B & B is managed by the social cooperative La Paranza, born a few years ago to give a new dignity to the Rione Sanità and in our opinion they are succeeding great! With them we also decided to take part in a tour of the ward and the catacombs and we got to know young smart and passionate. The neighborhood is full of life, exuberant and genuine. Staying here has definitely given added value 6to our stay in Naples.

A very interesting experience with the guys from Paranza. The structure is welcoming and functional. You live in the heart of the Sanità district, you can breathe history, traditions, art, authenticity, you feel good, you eat well. Not to be missed.

The guys of the La Paranza Cooperative made our stay in Naples special, as special are they, both the B&B staff and the catacombs (must visit, both San Gaudioso and San Gennaro). The room they gave us was very spacious, clean and cozy. The breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious. Napoli, beh... Naples is 'no show and the Sanità district, where the B & B is located, immediately enters your heart, just like the boys. We will definitely return to Naples and of course we will stop at Monacone!

"All rooms face the Rione: at times there are religious processions and plenty of things to look at. But they were not noisy."Read full review
"The rooms have names rather than numbers, are all on the third floor (there is an elevator) and look out over a bustling street scene and piazza, but the soundproofing is excellent. We stayed in "Vesuvius" and it was very spacious with a gorgeous tiled bathroom, kitchenette counter and small refrigerator."Read full review
