An old building but the amenities are up to date. Received a warm welcome on arrival and check-in was easy. Our room a standard double room was a good size with views over the street. Windows and shutters were double glazed so very little noise. Comfortable bed. Bathroom had all the amenities required. As the receptionist could see my wife had mobility difficulties asked if we preferred a room with a shower. Breakfast was a service buffet. There were cereals bread croissants cakes and hot and cold drinks. Evening meals were also here and the menu was typically Italian. Food was good as was the service. The hotel is very close to the main railway station at Piazza Garabaldi. The owner was very helpful and took interest in his customers as well as helping in the restaurant in the evenings. We had a problem with our wheelchair and he tried to put the problem right. Gave us ideas for our visit. A very good host. Thank you. Would I change anything? Perhaps a few more TV channels to include foreign channels would be nice, especially for those wetter moments or for relaxation.

Our family of three stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and were very impressed. Although the furniture in the rooms are modest, the level of cleanliness and professionalism was outstanding! From a Covid perspective they had a monitor right at entrance to confirm temperature and if your mask was on. The personnel throughout the hotel were simply lovely and helpful. They hooked us up with a great and affordable private drier who brought us on a 5 hour tour to the best sites of Naples. I plan on returning!

Fantastic little hotel…… am not surprised it won the travels award 2022.
All the staff are so helpful and nice.
Rooms are spotless with ample space, even a Juliette balcony to watch the morning Sun and see the street below (it’s like an open air theatre) but don’t worry there is no noise at all once the doors are closed. There is fantastic shower and comfortable bed. Air con is just right. Safe deposit box too. Breakfast had a great choice, I didn’t eat much as was saving myself for a big lunch but everyone seemed very happy with what they had.
Could not have asked for a better place. To stay as a solo traveller.
This hotel is very close to the central Naples station…. Which gives you access to the trains/buses/metropolitana (tube) which is great fun and a good way to see this incredible City.

The location is convenient if you want to be near the train station, however, it is a noisy and smelly area. The hotel shower had hair in it, when we brought it to staff attention, they told us it was our own hair. It could not have been, I do not have long black hair. The room was very large, the safe for our valuables never worked and was never looked at after bringing it to their attention. Be aware that the no frills room also does not have a mini fridge. We paid extra for the breakfast, the coffee was extremely disappointing, always cold in spite of the fact that they made the coffee from a machine before our eyes. They also served hot dogs for breakfast and called it chicken.

Dear Guest, thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations and have shared your feedback with our team. We invite you to contact our customer service especially because we do not agree with your issues (as we anticipated you during your staying) and we would like to discuss your experience in more detail. As for the breakfast, we do not serve hot dogs but plain chicken wurstles; as for our espresso, here in Italy is totally normal to use a coffee machine (the moka style coffee is usually made at home and not in the local restaurants because it implies the usage of fire!). Best regards, Grand Hotel Europa

The hotel is a little gem!
Quirky, clean & interesting. We didn’t eat dinner nor did we have drinks at the bar so cannot comment on that. We did however have breakfasts & for us, it wasn’t great. Croissants & other cakes were pretty much all they had. Fruit & yoghurt too. But it was very well presented & tasted very good.

The room was cleaned daily by friendly maids. The room had free air conditioning & the use of a safe, also free of charge. Our room had a jacuzzi bath but I don’t know whether that’s the same for any other too, the shower had very good pressure & water was nice & hot. The reception was manned 24hours again by friendly staff.

I personally asked the hotel to arrange flowers for our arrival in our room & this was done. A beautiful big bunch of red roses & a bottle of Prosecco was left on ice for us.

Any bad points from our trip weren’t anything to do with the hotel but I probably wouldn’t return to Napoli. I would highly recommend the hotel to anybody who is thinking of visiting Napoli though. Perfect location for the train stations, 10 minutes transfer time to the airport & a 2/3 minute walk to an abundance of restaurants.

5* from us for the Grand Europa Hotel.

When we entered the hotel we went into a lovely well maintained property that was full of character.

Our rooms were nicely appointed with a small balcony overlooking the street.

Public areas were very welcoming with a great bar serving very reasonably priced drinks.

The breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice of items. Of particular mention must be Gino who looked after breakfast guests with such a genuine passion - a truly remarkable guy.

All staff at this hotel were very nice and very helpful.

Naples was a chaotic fascinating city and this was our respite into our quiet little haven.

Great hotel clean and stylish. Staff great. The surrounding area is run down but very close to train station bus station and metro (2 min walk) breakfast not worth 12 euro but plenty of options in nearby food court. Hotel is only four stops on metro from Toledo which is a beautiful coastal town or 35 mins on train to Pompeii.

On the plus side, the hotel is a few-minutes walk from the central station, was very inexpensive, and staff were nice. On the other, it's exactly for these reasons that it seems to be very popular with very young Italians, who raised lots of noise and commotion in the hotel, where rooms are plentiful but tightly crammed. Bring ear plugs! Also, the wifi connection was very weak and practically useless sometimes. Finally, keep in mind the central station area is very unpleasant, dirty, full of homeless people etc.

Dear Guest. Thanks so much for letting us know about your concerns. We’re sorry that we failed to make your visit as enjoyable as it could have been. Our Hotel was quite full during your staying and "young Italians" may have been too enthusiastic about staying together and having fun after two years of strict covid-19 limitations. We are sorry they bothered you, and we will take good note of your review to improve our services. Moreover, the station area is the best choice to move around Naples and to visit its surroundings. Best regards, Grand Hotel Europa

We stayed for a week and had a great time. The stars of the show are Luigi and Gino who really did go out of their way to make us feel welcome, and showed an interest in how our trip was going. However all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very central - just around the corner from the main railway station in Naples and there's lots of eateries nearby if you don't want to eat in the hotel.

Our room was good, nothing luxurious but we knew that when booking. The aircon was a life safer as it was very hot and humid during our stay. The bathroom could do with an upgrade, however it didn't detract from our stay at all.

There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room, and no fridge - and no ice machine anywhere in the hotel. We had to ask at the bar for glasses of ice and as the bar was not always staffed it felt like we were interrupting other staff from their duties to serve us.

Breakfast was good, with a wide range of options. Coffee was superb however being Scottish I would have loved some regular black tea in the morning!

There didn't appear to be any lunch facilities in the hotel however plenty of local options. We had dinner in the hotel twice and it was delicious!

Thank you so much to everyone for looking after us so well during our stay - it was fab.

Location was fantastic. Only a few minutes to the main station which takes you everywhere! Bus/taxis round the corner for the airport. Lots of places to eat and drink within a few minutes walk! Room was basic but had what we needed. Breakfast options are extremely limited to pastries and toast, cooked is extra even on breakfast included, so I wouldn’t choose that option again, much better to go out
Staff helpful and can assist with places to go and direction etc
