Unfortunately despite the efforts of very friendly owners and staff this accommodation fell far short of what is expected of a hotel. The room was very noisy because the window over the busy road had to be open to allow the temporary air conditioning to work. It was impossible to sleep until after 2 - 3 am because of traffic noise or lack of air. There is no concierge on site meaning we had to wait for 30 minutes on the street before being let in for check in. Breakfast was very basic and served in rooms which had no table to sit at. On a positive note the room was quite large and the building was very well located to visit the archaeological museum (which was brilliant). The "resort" owners tried to help but need to invest in more staff and facilities to make this an acceptable destination. …
My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights. Great location for exploring downtown Naples. Metro stop very close to take you wherever you want around town if needed but we mostly walked. National Archaeology Museum is just a few minutes walk away. A must visit! Belle Arti is a B&B which has a limited manned reception desk but it's sister property, Hotel Neopolis nearby is manned 24/7. It is here we arranged a driver to take us to Pompeii, Vesuvius and Herculaneum. They also arranged for a taxi to the airport upon departure. Antonio was the attendant who was very helpful however the entire staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast is only 5 euros at Belle Arti and there is a large selection to choose from. It is either delivered to your room or you take it in the dining room. You fill out a card the night before and leave it a the desk. Rooms are large, spacious, quiet and comfortable. Learning curve to this place but it is easily managed. The cleaning/breakfast staff's English is more proficient than most of the receptionist, except for Antonio. It would be helpful but not necessary to know a little Italian. Highly recommend staying here if visiting Naples.…
Excellent location for visiting the National Archaeological Museum and the historical centre of the city. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The Belle Arti Resort is a B&B not a hotel, which was fine for us - it just meant there aren't staff available all day and night, not that we needed any. You get a key and access code, so can come and go to your room whenever. Breakfast is a good choice , which you can have either in your room or the small breakfast room - you order the night before on a simple card which you leave at reception. Our room was one of the superior ones and, reading other reviews, looks like it was worth the moderate extra. It was very large and high with the amazing ceiling frescoes. It also had two comfortable chairs as well as two for breakfast. The Belle Arti Resort is entered through two large wooden gates (open during the day, enter through a small inset door at night) which opens onto a courtyard. This means that you feel secluded and fairly quiet for a bustling noisy city, as it's set back from the street, yet is close to the busy Piazza Bellini with its bars and restaurants and the via Tribunali. Really, really enjoyable stay for 3 nights.…
The staff is very kind and helpful. The Resort is strategically located close to the National Archeological Museum (if you are into this kind of thing do not miss it - it's terrific). Our room was clean, spacious, with a painted ceiling with XIX century (I guess) decorations. The highlight was the breakfast. You can have it in your room, at the time you pick, choosing the requested items from a printed list. The perfect way to start a day in Naples.
From the website, we were expecting our classic room to have frescoes as shown on the pop-up. But it was quite characterless and a bit grubby (including a full ashtray when we arrived). We asked to move and were shown another room but it only had one very small, high window so we stayed put. On the upside, staff were polite and quick to fix the broken plug in our sink and a leak, also from the sink. And a great location. All in all - OK for a short stay if you don't plan to spend much time in your hotel.
