Quaint hotel, well located in area near shopping and dining. Only 46 rooms, so not easy to find available room. Walking distance to fashion district, Spanish steps and great restaurants. Excellent roof top terrace with city views.

What set this hotel apart from others was their attentive service and how they treat Hyatt Elite members. Location: Adjacent to Borghese Park and a short walk to the museum (which was closed for renovation until June) it is not near and convenient to many of the popular tourist spots as some other hotels. However, it is in a nice quiet neighborhood with a strip of nice small restaurants. You will need to take a 5-10 minute walk to get to access bus or train (usually near Barberini station) or about 20-30 minute walk to places like Trevi, the pantheon or the colosseum. Service and Elite status: from the front desk reception, to the house cleaning services everything was exceptional. Rooms were very clean, turn down service was provided and a host of nice amenities were provided for Globalist status. I truly feel Hyatt affiliated hotels are the best with caring for their elite members. Benefits included a personalized hand written note, suite upgrade with a view of the park, amazing breakfast buffet, welcome bottle of Italian red wine and FREE MINI BAR access. This was a first for me. Maybe it is more prevalent in Europe but I have not experienced this before. Breakfast Buffet: Although it was a small spread, it stood out due to the quality and freshness of the food. It was not your typical American breakfast buffet with microwaved eggs and meats. Fresh fruit, meats, bakery items and an assortment of vegetables and a salads were a welcome change compared to the US. Rooftop Bar / Restaurant: Convenient and was an amazing Italian meal for our first night in Rome. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. All in all a very enjoyable stay! Highly recommended and for a category 4 (now 5) hotel it seemed like a bargain. We stayed only for one night and were given an upgrade that overlooked the

We truly had such an amazing stay at The Tribune. I booked this when there were very few reviews listed, and I am so glad I took the chance. We came in early March and were lucky to have great weather. After arriving in Rome, we were about a 45 minute taxi ride from FCO. Truly, it wasn’t too bad of a ride as the scenery on the way is beautiful. We were informed on check in that we received a balcony room, which was nice to be able to enjoy the nice weather outside from inside our room. The manager left a nice note and some cute little cookies for us as a welcome gift, followed by champagne that evening. They truly provided an excellent guest experience. Our room was absolutely spotless…I am obsessive about cleanliness and check every nook and cranny. Not one surface had a speck of dust, the bedding was pristine, and I hate to admit that I almost ran into the shower door several times as it was perfectly clear. The room had a printed vinyl floor which we LOVED, it seemed so much more clean than the typical carpet. The only cleanliness complaint I have is for the elevator which has carpet. The carpet smells awful and needs steam cleaned, it made it hard to stay in for too long. That being said, it’s Europe…and there’s a functional elevator…I can’t complain too much! We ate at the rooftop bar, Terazza Borghese, once. It was good, but the convenience of not having to leave the hotel made it great. Our server was so kind and wonderfully attentive. The location of the hotel is about a 20-30 minute walk to a ton of things to do. Spanish steps, trevi fountain, pantheon, termini station, several other areas of Rome. It’s definitely not in a livelier area, there’s one main strip of restaurants and shops (Harry’s bar, come il latte) close by, but there will be a decent walk to much else. Truly, we explored a huge portion of the city of Rome over our trip and we were so glad for the area The Tribune was in. It’s a nice and safe area, there’s historical monuments around, and it’s not a busy/loud environment. Any areas closer to main attractions definitely didn’t meet all of those standards. We loved where we were! The other two downfalls I had with the hotel were more technicalities. I booked this about 9-10 months beforehand, and at that time I could’ve sworn it was noted that breakfast was included even with award bookings. At this time, it is not included, costing 20€ per person for the breakfast buffet. We came down and glanced at the buffet and both felt it was pretty steep pricing for the offerings. There’s a ton of other breakfast options for even more of an up charge, most of what I saw was 8€ or more per item. In general, not terrible pricing, but combined with 20€ already paid turned us away. The other issue I had was at check out finding out that there is a 15€ per day city tax on the room, which added up to 150€ for us. I booked this stay with Hyatt award points, which typically have all taxes and fees waved. Apparently, there is an exception in European cities. Neither of those issues took away enough from our stay to regret it at all. We overall had a great time and were grateful to have The Tribune as our home away from home for a few days!

This was our first trip to Rome and I was highly disappointed in our hotel stay. We only stayed one night as our previous hotel did not have availability for our final day in Rome. Being a hotel member to several hotel chains, this was the first time I was not greeted and thanked for being a member. The attitude and friendliness of the woman checking us in was very different towards me versus the previous couple who was of higher member status (this is known by the additional benefits that were offered). This hotel staff member was rude when asked about availability for a late check. A simple no it is not available would have been more appropriate than her comment towards me. This all was even before we arrived in our room which was extremely noisy, a remote where the volume did not work, and a hair dryer that only worked if you held the power button which is quite difficult to do when holding the hair dryer and brush while drying your hair. The location was not the best for a family wanting to walk and explore the main tourist attractions. Overall I would definitely not recommend this hotel and will not stay here again on future trips.

Fantastic location in Rome just outside all the tourist locations but close enough for just a short walk to everything service was on point and also sent up a bottle of champagne as I checked in. They also offered to call a cab service set up for my departure

This is a great hotel. Walking distance to Borghese museum and gardens. Good Restaurants nearby and two in the hotel. Quiet area. Short taxi ride to tourist sites usually for less than 10 euros. Junior suite is ideal is you travel with children as it has an extra bed.

Great hotel. Very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Meals were good at both restaurants and service was good. I would definitely stay at the Tribune again and recommend it to others. Located centrally for what we wanted to see and do. Gave great directions and recommendations.
