Ideally located close to Roma Termini, Roman residence is a compact budget apartment with 6 independent rooms. Using the metro, one can get to & from the airport or visit all the attractions of the city. Likewise, its easy to return to your room at any point of the day, as you desire. Several restaurants in the vicinity with quite...

Central location near to termini .Not very close to Rome highligts(pantheon,Piazza Navona etc) by foot, but there were easy public transportations nearby.Spacious rooms, rather dark(they were looking at the inner yard),very simple breakfast (everything was cold and nothing fresh),bad wifi (the half of the days we stayed,it was not working).

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The location is ideal if you want to be near the Termini with it's busses, metro and trains, making it easy to get anywhere you want to go, and equally importantly, easy to return to your room at any point of the day, as you desire. The bed was very comfy,...

Don't judge this place on first appearances but don't expect a hotel. You enter what could be residential apartments entrance rather than a hotel entrance. The room is in a corridor of about 4 with tea & coffee facilities. However the room is all you need for a city break - very clean, en suite bathroom with shower, with tea/coffee...

We enjoyed our stay in Roman Residence, but the wooden floors transfer noise from the corridors and neighbours into the room. It disturbed us late on a couple of nights, and early one morning. Massimo was helpful and easy to deal with. The location is very good, 250M to Terminii and the Leonardo Express. The rooms are on the second...

Firs, this is technically not a hotel, but more of a B&B with housekeeping services. To come in expecting a hotel, you will end up feeling very miserable. For what I paid for 3 person, this is a very good place to stay if you are in Rome for 3-4 nights. The location is excellent, being 2 minutes walk from...

It was the worst hotel I've ever stayed. The rooms are ver vulnerable to the nosie from the lobby, corrider and the other rooms. There are only 4 or 5 rooms in the hotel, which is right next to the lobby and you can hear every noise and talk from the lobby. You can hear the talk and shower from...

We stayed at Roman Residence for two nights and the accommodation is excellent. Massimo, the owner was very helpful, allowing us to leave our bags to go out and explore, before our room became available. We were in Room 2. The room is very clean and tidy and the bathroom is the best we have been been in in Italy!...

This hotel is in great location, we arrived on the train (as most people do) and were able to easily walk down to the hotel with our luggage from the train station.. Check in was easy and Massimo spoke great English. Our room was spacious and clean. All the rooms for this hotel are located on the 2nd floor of...

Roman Residence was recommended to my wife by a co-worker, and as we wanted to stay close to Termini for a one night stay, we elected to stay here. We were pleased with the level of communication by Massimo prior to our arrival, we had no issues with check in, were shown a very clean room with bath, and also...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
