We stayed at Domus Castrense for 3 nights near the end of our European holiday. It was fairly close to Termini station. We walked there dragging our luggage. When we found it, it was just a big closed door and on entry there was an old fashionsed cage lift going up to the reception and then onwards further up to a different floor where our room was. Conveniently enough the breakfast room was on our floor too , the 5th. Breakfast was continental style with pastries, juice, yoghurts, fruit, coffee etc Would have loved a kettle or coffee machine in the room. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small but fresh, modern and fairly newish.

A lovely quaint hotel with a grand entrance door and old traditional lift. If you prefer fancy branded large hotels with big receptions and large lounge areas with eating on site then this is not the hotel for you. Hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the main terminal station. Hotel is about 30-40 minutes drive from the airport - the hotel does do private airport transfers BUT you must book direct with hotel. Was 60 Euros from FCO and you pay driver directly - if you want to pay by card please ensure you request this at the time of the booking. You will also need to advise the hotel of your flight times to ensure the reception desk is maned at the appropriate times. Hotel is very clean, modern and fresh. The rooms were lovely, kept very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Rooms have a/c, nice large bathroom, in-room safe available and small fridge. Breakfast is continental and served directly in your room at your chosen time. We walked every where so ensure you have comfy shoes. Hotel does provide you a map on request. If you wish to visit any of the attractions these need to be pre-booked online. Even though this was a business trip, I would definitely stay for pleasure. There is a lovely restaurant/cafe place just yards from the hotel - does home made fresh pasta. I recommend the ravioli.

I stayed here for 2 days with friends the end of september. It is within 10 minutes walking from Termini Station with nice restaurants nearby. Checkin was very fast and efficient and the rooms were ready when we got there around 12 so that was great. I was given room 206 which is right next to the check in desk. It has a small balcony which is nice. I was able to hear every conversation at the desk from my room so not very soundproof. In the morning i woke up from all the noise at reception so if you're a light sleeper I would not recommand this room. The shower cabin in this room is very small. I was bare able to take a shower and wash myself (i'm 1.87/6ft1). Breakfast is very basic and brought to your room. My friends were given a room next to the main street and they woke up quite a few times because of traffic at night. They switched rooms after one night and got a good night sleep the next day. We had problems with the main door downstairs to get into the building using our keys and luckily we were able to speak to someone and received the digital code to get in. I can imagine having this problem at night would not be a nice experience. All in all a nice accommodation but I don't think I would come back again.

Stumbled across this hotel online and I'm so glad I did. This hotel is in a perfect location for Roma Termini station as this is only 5 minutes away on foot and easy to find. The day before arrival I received an email with information of how to do self check in which was simple to do. When we got to the reception someone there to greet us. He gave us a choice of rooms which was lovely. We stayed in 204 the room was spacious, very clean and tidy. Breakfast you ticked of a list what you wanted and when you would like it as it is delivered to your room. So no rushing to get out of bed. Our rooms were cleaned every day and towels replenished. Overall we throughly enjoyed our three night stay. I'd return to this hotel anytime.

We stayed for a week. The position of the hotel is very good. Near to the Termini Station and La Sapienza University. There are buses just outside the hotel to most of the important tourist places. The rooms are clean and well maintained. But the services are just basic. The rooms are quite small. There is hardly any space beyond the bed. Also, the breakfast is just minimal. There is no fruit, no egg. Only Croissant and beverage! This is a good option only if you are looking for a basic accommodation and good connectivity. Although it is not a cheap hotel, still, do not expect any luxury.

Had a fantastic stay here. The room was lovely. The hotel reception was helpful. Within walking distance of the main Termini station. Can’t recommend the place highly enough. The breakfast was just what was required before. Busy day in searing heat.

The location was great for us, with a short stay entering and exiting Rome via the terminal station. We walked (albeit with uneven and pothole ridden footpaths) with our luggage (and we/ I don't travel lightly). Upon arrival, at the allocated checkin time the reception was not staffed, the entry to the suites is a little hard to find as there's just a door and keypad on he street entry, the entry details should have been provided to your booking email from the hotel, though this was the one thing we didn't have handy, we called the phone number and the staff was not very helpful, asked me to check my email, not being able to locate it amongst the myriad of travel related emails and several from the hotel itself, coupled with being in a fluster wanting to check in... I phoned a second time and was then provided the access code and vague/ incorrect instructions on how to enter. There was documents waiting for us along with a key for entry. Breakfast was essentially coffee and a pastry, interaction with staff was minimal. Location from any attraction always seemed to be two kilometres, which was fine! We walked one day, which was great as we found lots of little stops along the way. Otherwise we caught a taxi and it was always less than ten euros. Our room was modern, I believe recently renovated, spacious and well appointed, the bed was comfortable. However, put room was located adjacent to the reception desk and when the other guests returned to their nearby rooms, in the early hours or the morning I could hear every word they were loudly speaking. There are more private rooms, I believe moreso residences on the higher floors.
