My son and I stayed at the BlueHostel last week and it was a lovely place to stay. We felt safe and it was a 20 minute walk to most of the main sites. Blue Hostel was excellent. Ercole provided us with everything we needed, and nothing we didn't. Everything was carefully thought out for his guests. Every bit of detail was clear and concise from check out times to room information. Upon arrival, he took his time and thoroughly explained the map with things to do, etc. The room itself was cozy and very homey. Loved every bit of it from the personal touches of (what I think to be old family) photos (forgot to ask) to the juliette balcony to the bathroom tile. Location was also great, as we were close to everything within walking distance. Fantastic experience. Grazie, Ercole.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Hostel while we were in Rome. The location was great, with Roma Termini, restaurants and major attractions (Colusseum, Spanish Steps) within walking distance. Ercole was a great host; friendly, accommodating and full of suggestions for places to go and where to eat.

The Blue Hostel is one of the best places I've ever stayed abroad. A colleague recommended it to me, I booked it for August and I'm so glad I did. The host was incredibly friendly, communication was great and there was no question he wouldn't answer. The map they provide is excellent, with recommendations for restaurants and places to visit in Rome, tips on how to avoid long lines and general advice on moving around Rome. The room looked great, was very clean and had a fridge full of roman tap water (very good!) as well as a coffee machine with tabs and an AC Unit. The hostel is a few streets away from Roma Termini, the central railway station and right between a few nice restaurants, bistros and bakeries, a lot of options for a good breakfast (the host recommended Panella, we went there every morning) and everything from fine dining to a slice of pizza to take away. If you're looking for a safe haven to return to after a strenuous day exploring everything Rome has to offer, there is no better place for it.…

We stayed in the Trapeze Suite (one bed apartment) during August. The apartment is beautifully furnished and the attention to decor is very stylish. Also importantly the air-conditioning was excellent. As a family of four our children used the sofa bed which was great and having the extra living space was perfect for us. It was very spacious, extremely comfortable, and beautifully clean. The location of the apartment is amazing. It is close to the station which was great for us as we travelled by train and within very easy walking distance of the Colosseum. In fact we walked everywhere from the apartment. The hosts are extremely helpful and gave us amazing tips and recommendations for places to eat out which we really appreciated. Thank you so much! We would 100% recommend the Blue Hostel if visiting Rome and would definitely stay here again if we return. I only wished we could have stayed longer as I loved it so much. …

Attentive, friendly and very helpful host Alessandro. Beautifully appointed room with many lovely and historic touches (original features with modern comforts). Well positioned close to Santa Maria Maggiore, a few minutes walk to Roma Termini and walking distance to many sites eg. Colosseum, Trevi Fountain etc. Highly Recommended.

This hotel is absolutely lovely. It is historic and quaint with a slight modern edge. One of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in as well! Definitely do not let the world “hostel” dissuade you. The owner was super friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It is an easy walk from the train station, as well as to all the major attractions.

We arrived at the Blue Hostel and immediately greeted by Alessandro who very kindly carried our luggage upstairs and provided us with everything we needed to start our exploration of Rome. An incredible host, friendly advice and great hospitality throughout our stay. The room was beautifully decorated, stylish, clean and quiet, perfect for me and my two tween children. The location is perfect, walking distance to the train station, colosseum and surrounded by some of the best pizza and pasta eateries! We will return to Rome and without a doubt will be be back at Blue Hostel.

Our vacation in Rome was really fantastic and that was mainly due to the location: The location is great, you can walk to the most important sights. The hostel is quiet, totally tastefully and stylishly furnished. It is very calm. The owners are incredibly friendly and courteous in advance and also directly on site. All in all great!

Our hotel experience was fantastic. The location was great, our room was spacious, secure and cleaned each morning. But the staff at this hotel were second to none, namely Alessandro. He contacted us during the night when we had delays, arranged a taxi, was in constant communication and was just a phenomenal person. Our bags were lost in transit (still are!) and Alessandro gave me some of his clothes for my journey! He was so kind and I now consider him a friend. 10/10 experience!
