Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ercole is a diligent, genial proprietor, and his accommodations reflect a level of care that make Blue Hostel a genuine bargain. (Don't let the name confuse you. It's the details that count, and among the the most important here are high-quality mattresses and reliable air conditioning in the sultry Roman summer. The location is just 10 minute's walk from the Termini rail station, which means that a visitor can reach nearly every corner of the city easily by Metro, bus or tram.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Hostel Rome this past weekend. After I booking our room, I was promptly contacted by the owner who provided me with very helpful information about the city, their tours to include the purchase of tickets in advance to the places I wanted to visit. We arrived in Rome around 7:30 am Friday, I contacted the owner who was able to get us in the room by 8:00 am. He provided us with a very helpful map (created by him) of the city with the main attractions, restaurants, information on how to use the metro system, and much more. The room had a queen-size bed, and a single bed was provided for my daughter. The room also had its own bathroom with a shower, TV, coffee maker, and most important the A/C works flawlessly. Everything in the room was clean and organized, housekeeping was provided every day, and the hospitality was amazing. The Blue Hostel has a great location in the center of the city, very close to the Coliseum and other attractions. After leaving the hostel, I forgot the remote control for my AppleTV, I was quickly contacted by the owner that same morning, and he was kind enough to ship my item to my house the following day. This was my family and I first-time experience in Rome which we enjoyed. I would definitely stay at the Blue hostel again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Blue Hostel. Ercole was an amazing host providing a personalised map of Roma and sharing tips about the best places to visit and eat. The place is very well located, very close from the coliseum and this is easy to walk anywhere. Termini station is just around the corner offering great connection to the airports and national trains. If you need to go a bit far like the Vatican you can easily take the tube from there. The room was very well decorated, an Italian romantic atmosphere and I enjoyed the coffee machine, fridge and air conditioning. The room was located on the third floor without lift that was absolutely not an issue to me. I would definitely recommend Blue Hostel for your stay in beautiful Roma and hope anyone will enjoy this city as much as I did.

My stay at the Blue Hostel was everything I could have hoped for and Ercole and the others I met who work there are perfect hosts.

Only a 5 minute walk from Termini Station and in the beautiful Monti district, when I arrived Ercole met me at the door and helped to carry my suitcase up the stairs. The rooms are beautiful, as you can see from the pictures and full of extra touches like an espresso machine, for example. Ercole also talked me through a map he had made with restaurants and cafés he recommended, marked clearly on it. This map was a lifesaver and helped to make my stay even smoother, as I did not have to think too much about which restaurant/bar to choose each day as I trusted his advice and I am so glad I did!

In addition to this, because of the situation with COVID-19, my plans kept changing. He was so considerate about this, which I am so grateful for. So honestly, I think the place deserves more than five stars!

My stay here added further to the beauty of being in Rome, definitely.

We stayed at Blue Hostel for five days in September and loved it. Ercole is a fantastic host who fulfilled all our wishes and provided us with lots of good tips. The room was tastefully decorated and very quiet despite its central location near Termini station. We slept fantastically and would definitely book here again.

When I saw the reviews and pictures compared with the price I was nervous. It seemed too good to be true. Well, ITS TRUE!!! The ‘room’ was effectively a tasteful, well-equipped one bed flat that is just 5 mins walk from termini station
The air con was a lifesaver- it was 34 degrees!!!! They even provided my favourite toiletries from Old Bigelow. I really can’t say enough good good things as there was not a single negative thing I can find. I’m definitely going back. Do yourself a favour if you’re going to Rome and stay there.

We had a wondeful stay at Blue Hostel. Upon arriving we were greeted by our gracious host Andrea, he gave us a lot of relevant information and the map provided by Blue hostel gave us several excellent experiences. The location of the hostel, close to the train Station and metro station were a good starting point for exploring the city. It was also within easy walking distanse from the Colosseum.
The rooms were delicate and tasteful with an added dimension of original ceiling.
We would love to come back to Blue hostel to visit Rome again.

Blue Hostel is one of the rare places you'd rather keep to yourself as a precious secret. In one word, the hotel is fantastic. We stayed for 3 nights with our 18 year old daughter. Tastefully decorated bedrooms with comfortable mattresses and pillows and stunning bathrooms with great lightening. Nespresso machine and daily supply of fresh chilled water made it even nicer. With the rooms going out to the back patio it is so quiet you wouldn't think you were right in the center of Rome. Ercole is a wonderful host. It felt like staying with friends. Termini station and many sights within easy walking distance. We absolutely loved the hotel's own map with well chosen suggestions for restaurants, cafés and bars. We sticked to it during the whole visit and were never disappointed.

We had the best experience at Blue Hostel in Rome! Alessandro was an incredible host who provided great hospitality from check-in to check-out. We greeted us at the door and helped us with our luggage, gave us great local knowledge of Rome and offered us his number to text him if we needed anything (which we did)! He was so attentive and always friendly, and the rooms had everything we needed after a long day of walking.

The hostel is located within a traditional Rome building, however the rooms are updated but still feel cosy. The location is great and close to many restaurants and cafes, 3 min walk to the metro and 7 min walk to Rome’s main train station Termini. It was an easy 20 min walk to the Colosseum and 20 min to Trevi Fountain, and we would not hesitate to come back on a future visit to Rome!

This is probably the best value I have ever received at a hotel. The style of the rooms is easily on a par with much grander boutique hotels, but Blue Hostel also has a warm, welcoming and genuinely personal atmosphere. Ercole is a fantastic host and his advice and recommendations about the neighbourhood and the city really helped me to get the most from my stay. The custom map was very helpful and shows how the hotel has considered all the details. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Rome.

My wife and I are senior citizens and we found Blue Hostel outstanding. Unfortunately, outside of a quiet, well appointed room, there are no onsite activities for children. I suggest you contact Ercole or Andrea directly to best reply to your request.
