close to the center on foot (about 15' on foot for termini and 7' for the nearest metro station). You will not ever find it if you hanen't read to our remarks that you have to go to "midi hotel" for reception. No one speaks english either to the reception. Firstly they gave us a tragic room under the earth...

The location near the train station, the rooms are clean, staff are friendly, breakfast is next door and was good, there are restaurants which service good food near by and you can get around Rome easily via tram, underground and bus.

I stayed at this hotel between 1.11.2011 and 4.11.2010, 3 nights. All hotel staff except the kitchen responsible were so rude, defensive, aggressive and always ready for discussing or fighting. Although the room quality is good to stay, the staffs' attitudes made me so regret to choose this hotel. Especially the guy ( nearly 60 years old) who couldn't speak English...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
