Our family had a wonderful stay at the Singer Palace Hotel! This boutique hotel is in the historic and beautifully renovated former headquarters of the sewing machine company. The rooms are everything you would expect from a five-star hotel: modern, spotless (with turndown), comfortable bedding and mattresses, luxurious toiletries, plush towels and robes, well-decorated, etc. Still and sparkling water were generously replenished every day. Our spacious superior suite had two full baths, which was a blessing for our family of three. However, what stood out the most to us was the amazing staff! Everyone went out of their way to be welcoming, warm, helpful, and thoughtful. I wish I knew the names of everyone at the front desk and rooftop restaurant so I could thank them individually. They were phenomenal and anticipated our needs before we even knew them! At check-in, Allesandro gave us a tour of the hotel and treated us to drinks and snacks on the rooftop restaurant. It was our first time in Rome, and he patiently took the time to map out all the sites we might be interested in visiting, plus answering all the questions we had.

The hotel is conveniently located and easily walkable to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Roman Forum, and high-end shopping. The Colosseum is a 15-minute walk, but we decided to take a taxi because of the heat. St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museum were 10-15 minutes away by taxi, and FCO was about a 30-minute cab ride. The front desk was able to call us a taxi to arrive within 3-5 minutes whenever one was needed.

The front desk had excellent restaurant recommendations. There were no tourist traps as suggested in another review. In fact, the waiter at one restaurant had to translate the specials menu for us because it was only written in Italian. That said, the food and service at the hotel's rooftop restaurant were so terrific that we opted to dine there twice. (Our favorite dishes were beef carpaccio, carbonara, and ginger marinated red fruits with yogurt mousse.)

Thank you for a wonderful stay and memorable time in Rome! We will most definitely be back the next time we return to Italy.

Dear shirleych0i, Thank you for your words. Did you know that our suites are a solution unique to Singer? Not because of the concept but because of the design made by our architects that took care of every single detail to guarantee comfort to all our guests. Our staff is a group of people knowledgeable about Rome and ready to help with anything, starting from the moment you book to the moment you let us know that you’ve arrived home. We’re happy to help you arrange anything you need, from tours, to restaurants, to the taxi or private car you’ll need to reach the airport. It’s true, no tourist traps if you know where to go and we’re happy to give you tips for the best local places where to taste delicious dishes. Our own Singer Restaurant is a place to try because our chef Alessandro uses only the best local products for all his dishes with creativity and passion for his art – just how us Italians like our meals prepared! Have you tried the “Madama Bianca battuta and fig mustard”? It’s a poem for our taste buds… Since you’re definitely coming back next time you’re in Italy… we’re waiting already with the beef carpaccio and your other favourites… Carpe Diem Michela Visocchi – Hotelier

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this beautiful hotel and were impressed from the moment we arrived. The reception staff greeted us so warmly that we already felt like friends from the moment we walked through the door. The hotel is tucked away in a side street off the Via de Corso and is very quiet. Rooms are elegant and well furnished with everything that you could possibly need. All furnishings and toiletries are of a very high standard.

The breakfast on the outside terrace was fantastic. A very good continental buffet and then your choice of eggs, etc. Freshly squeezed juice showed the attention to detail that the hotel puts into everything it does.

Before we went out in the evening we visited the bar on the 6th floor. Friendly bar staff who made the best cocktails ever. Drinks may seem a little on the expensive side but when they are accompanied by complimentary hot snacks who cares! One tip if you are drinking wine buy it by the bottle.

It was my partner’s birthday whilst we were there and every single staff member we met throughout the day was aware of it and wished him a happy birthday - another plus point from us.

We travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels across the world and we have to say that The Singer Palace tops our list for exceptional staff.

Dear Jackie f, Thank you for such an enthusiastic review, we were so happily stunned from the moment we saw the title of the review. We’re happy to hear that you immediately felt like friends, this is exactly how we see our guests, friends we just haven’t met yet but who can rely on us to make sure their holiday is perfect. With our knowledge of the city plus our passion for welcoming lovely people in Rome, it’s a perfect mix! It’s true, the hotel is very quiet, it is close to Via del Corso, the main shopping road in Rome, so it can get busy. We made it our mission to create a calm environment in the centre of Rome, so you can relax… in proximity of all the main monuments and all the main shops. A unique location, right? The materials and amenities used for our hotel have been chosen with care and are the best we can offer, of the highest quality, as you say. Only the best for our guests. The same sentiment we put when it comes to food. The breakfast buffet on our rooftop terrace is prepared only with the best local products and there is also the additional à la carte menu for choices that can appeal even the pickiest eaters… the eggs come in many different types of dishes and they’re all delightful. We were all happy to mark the occasion of your partner’s birthday and that you chose our hotel for this special occasion. Please, do come back for another stay, a “Americanotto” cocktail is waiting for you… yes, with hot snacks! 😊 Carpe Diem Michela Visocchi – Hotelier

Arty boutique hotel in the centre of Rome 5-10 minutes walk to the Pantheon, Trevi fountain, Piazza Navona, Campo di Fiori..

All the staffs were super friendly the service was amazing too! When mom and I were out exploring they'd go up to our room prepare our slippers, little snacks and kept refilling our water session and always made sure mom and I have one sparkling and still water on each side of our bedside table at all time we found that very impressive.

Mom and I stayed there during Christmas. They had sparky Christmas decor on and they even wrapped up Christmas present for us!!!! That was very thoughtful of them too!! ✨✨✨

They also have a cute rooftop bar and the restaurant was lovely with a wide range of breakfast options.

Will definitely go back when I'm in Rome again:)!!

Dear lillilloz, Thank you for your kind review. For us attention to details is one of the most important things when it comes to hospitality. It’s easy to do something without going into details but the devil is inside the details and when things are not done properly, then, as we say in Italian, “I nodi vengono al pettine”, the tangles reach the comb, and your holiday could be ruined because of it. We won’t have it! Of course we wrapped your present and took care of the Christmas décor… here we take the Christmas spirit very seriously! 😉 So yes, not only do you get an amazing service by our staff who is at your disposal and will use the knowledge of true Romans to help you plan your holiday according to your time and, most of all your wishes, but you also get such service in a unique location right in the heart of Rome, within walking distance of many attractions like the Pantheon and of interesting places like Palazzo Bonaparte, with the covered balcony from which Napoleon’s mother, Letizia Ramolino, would peer down the street to keep up with what was going on without anyone seeing her fading beauty… Thank you for mentioning the rooftop bar, our Jim’s Bar is the perfect place for an end-of-day drink like the amazing “Americanotto” cocktail prepared by the bartender Luca. the restaurant also doesn’t leave anything to be desired with the large, rich breakfast buffet prepared by our chef Alessandro Fiacco with only the best ingredients of local provenance…if Luca’s cocktails are the best end-of-day drink, the chef’s buffet is the best start-of-day food… Will definitely go back when I’m in Rome again, you say? Well, we’re already waiting for you, so come whenever you want… Carpe Diem Michela Visocchi – Hotelier

We stayed at the Singer Palace Hotel in late January and had an excellent stay. The hotel is in a great location (within walking distance to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, the major shopping streets, and about a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum). The hotel itself is beautiful with elements of modern architecture and original architecture from the old Singer factory. The rooms are very soundproof from street noise, but I could occasionally hear people outside in the hallway as the rooms are quite close together. However, this did not affect my stay whatsoever and I slept fine at night.

The staff is AMAZING! Very well trained, knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly! While in Rome we lost our tickets to the Colosseum and Marco at the front desk was able to email me my tickets immediately (the hotel originally booked our tickets for us so they had a copy on hand).

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want to visit Rome.

A special thanks to the amazing staff for making sure we had a great time in Rome!

Dear LizS3277, Thank you for your feeback. We are so happy to know that you enjoyed your stay so much! It’s true, we are in a great location: it doesn’t get any better than that. You are within walking distance of all the major monuments and if you start exploring the side streets, you’ll find many other less known places that deserve to be seen just as much as the main sights of Rome. The church of Santa Maria del Popolo is one of the many and it has appeared in Dan Brown’s “Angels and Demons”. It is a “dark” church, with marble skeletons and skull/bones… but it keeps some masterpieces, like two stunning Caravaggios…. Yes, our rooms are indeed all soundproof: the windows have double-glass and our facility is completely isolated from the noise that there can be sometimes on the main street Via del Corso, famous for being the first shopping street in Rome. When you understand the greatness of our location, you understand that our need to provide our guests with an amazing staff, knowledgeable about the city and passionate about it to give our guests the best suggestions and recommendations. Our Experience Team is always at the ready to help you in any way, booking tours, arranging activities, and yes, even forwarding you your tickets if you lose them… like Marco did… a perfect example of Singer’s attention to details and care for our guests! When will you come back? we look forward to seeing you again… Carpe Diem Michela Visocchi - Hotelier

With 1930’s details lovingly restored amid beautiful modern luxury, the Singer Palace Hotel is the perfect pearl in central Rome. Easy access to the historic must-see spots and close to amazing restaurants, and also so lovely to stay at ‘home’ and lounge on the rooftop terrace or eat in.

Our 2 teens loved the food and the gorgeous adjoining suites, and we loved the craft cocktails. We felt welcome and pampered for our whole stay. The staff is alert and conscientious, the bedding is soft and ample, the elevator is solid glass, and the windows are perfect for cutting any street noise but large enough for a lively street view in this shopping hub.

Architecturally minded travelers will love the custom staircase, curved paneled elevator - first in Rome!- and the sumptuous marble detailing.

Your proprietor, Michela, has designed every detail for simple but colorful elegance, including fresh flower arrangements throughout.

During Covid time, the on site breakfast buffet is served a la carte. Plenty of yummy choices and even gluten free pancakes and waffles!

Dear Kat W, Thank you for your review. What beautiful change in pace to know that you were people who knew how to appreciate the architectural importance of Singer Palace and its wonderful staircase. We took our beautiful Art Deco building and restored it to its former glory, then we added all the right amenities to make it so you have all the elements to enjoy your holiday to the fullest, even going as far as forgoing quantity to prioritize the comfort you’ll find in this hotel that is between the past and the present. Our suites are a solution unique to Singer Palace hotel, made for family coming to visit so they can stick together but everyone has their privacy. Ah the food, prepared only with the best local ingredients and with creativity made into delightful dishes by our chef and his team, so that even your palate is on holiday. As you have noticed, the wide choice offered in our Covid-compliant not-buffet – even with the gluten free and dairy free options – is always top notch to attune the restaurant to the enchanting high level of the rest of details we put attention to, including the flower arrangements I made that you so kindly mentioned. Please, do come back, you’ve noticed that there is lots of things to see within walking distance, major monuments all close by and also less-known places like the church of St Ignatius with its painted dome that actually looks like a real one… Carpe Diem Michela Visocchi – Hotelier

This 5 star chic boutique hotel (original Singer Sewing Machine Corporate offices from the army 1900s) is nestled in a quiet location in central Rome with easy access to the major sites and shopping of course. The staff was the most professional, courteous, attentive team members one could hope for while on vacation. The moment you walk in you feel the understated luxury that adorns the hotel, rooms and rooftop restaurant/lounge. The breakfast on the quaint and trendy rooftop offers beautiful views along with the freshest fruits, and the most delicious selections that will satisfy the most discerning appetite. As you enter the hotel your eyes are transcended on the white swirls of grey marble staircase 5 flights up. Rich woods, glass see through elevator adorn the entire hotel. Front desk reception staff was delightful and attentive. Jessica and Frederica the manager went above and beyond, from restaurant reservations, assistance with anything we inquired about including shopping, and directions to make us feel special. Oh, and to top it off we received an upgrade to a suite! The Singer Palace Hotel made us love Rome even more if that’s possible!

Dear Fredk, What a delightful review you left for us. It’s true that our hotel was originally the headquarters for the famous Singer Sewing Machine Company and it is still a beautiful Art Deco building, now restored to its former glory as an example of how easy it is to find modernity and ancient times in Rome right in the same space. This is exactly how our location is, in the heart of the historical centre, close to all the main monuments but also shops and restaurants, so your holiday is complete with the whole Italian – Roman! - experience. You just have to add knowing the people, the people who are friendly and welcoming because they care about showing you how to have a good time. That’s where our staff comes in, Jessica and Federica two wonderful examples of people ready to show you a true Roman welcome, like old friends you didn’t know you had. … yes, we like to pamper you, even with a nice upgrade to a suite if it is possible, a suite that is a solution unique to Singer Palace Hotel, so that groups can be together without renouncing privacy… a holiday for the mind and for the body… all at Singer Palace Hotel! The best choice we made was deciding to go to Rome as a spontaneous weekend get away and the second best decision was deciding to stay at Singer Palace Hotel. Hopefully we will be able to make this decision again for many years to come.

The Singer Palace Hotel with its great location, elegant decor, opulent furnishing's, beautiful rooftop restaurant and gorgeous bar are simply in a class that few hotels ever achieve. The Singer Hotel used to actually be a Singer sewing machine Rome head office and much of the original architecture has been maintained such a the magnificent original grey marble spiral staircase and the twin elevators.

A huge part of its Five Star Luxury rating is the staff, professional, gracious, warm, attentive, friendly & knowledgable of every inch within the hotel and everything happening in Rome.

Our suite was large, bathroom top to bottom marble, the finest amenities, plush towels, robes, slippers and bath products... my king size bed and luxurious bedding was a pleasure to sleep on, and my suites furnishing's elegant, comfortable and in the style one would expect from an Italian Five Star Hotel.

Our welcome was made extra special with a beautiful table arrangement with some mandarines, cookies, chocolates and later on a bottle of champagne chilling and waiting for us after a long day of stomping through beautiful Rome.

I wish everyone has the opportunity to stay at The Singer Palace Hotel, making fabulous memories as I've been so fortunate to.

Dear Aleks1215, Wait, I’m gathering my bearings after such a wonderful review in order to answer… Done! Thank you for your kind words about our hotel. “The Singer Palace is perfect”, wow, we are speechless! It’s true, our hotel used to be the headquarters for the famous Singer sewing machine company and the Art Deco style of the building is the style typical of the Roaring Twenties. When we proceeded to restore this beautiful building, we didn’t want its history to be lost and our architects did a wondrous job of bringing the novelty of modern technologies in the atmosphere of the 1920s. From the luxurious materials like the marble stones in the bathrooms to the electronic “do not disturb” system that will alert us in the reception that you need your privacy so we can send the housekeeping service at the appropriate time… from the best materials for the amenities and comfortable Simmons mattresses, everything has been chosen in order to give you the perfect stay. Thank you for your words about our staff. We are truly very proud of their work, which is mostly a passion instead of a job, making them so good at it. They, as all of us, use their knowledge of Rome to make it so that you can have a wonderful stay here in the Eternal City, putting their passion and knowledge of the city at your service. Our Experience Team, for example, is perfect to help you organise any activity that you may like and we can also help you plan the holiday according to your time and wishes… we want you to enjoy Rome too much. We wish you can come back soon, there are so many things that you can see from our unique location right in the heart of Rome… for next time, a visit to the Gallery Doria Pamphilj is a very nice thing to do… lots of amazing paintings from all kinds of masters of Italian art! What a wonderful place!
The great customer service began before we even arrived. The general manager, Michela Mola, was very accommodating and helpful, and she set the standard for the rest of our stay.
Our family of 5 (3 kids) was greeted by three staffers upon our arrival. We were given a tour of the hotel by Frederica, who was impeccable, followed by welcome drinks and snacks on the rooftop.
We were then escorted to the beautifully decorated San Ignazio suite. The suite was gorgeous, comfortable, and “homey”, and yet felt very modern and updated. And the bed was a dream!
Also, the hotel’s breakfast was delicious. We had been to 2 other European cities before going to Rome, and the breakfast here was by far the best. We called every morning to make our order, and no matter how close it was to the cut off time (was there really one? 😁), the kitchen gladly took our order.
All the staff was so considerate in all our requests and also graciously stored our strollers near the front desk so we wouldn’t need to clutter the room with them; they also provided waters on our way out to explore the city daily.
The Trevi fountain, the Pantheon, luxury shopping, the Colosseum, and many other sites were within walking distance. Most sites were between 5-20 minutes away walking. The location could not be beat!
It felt like the kind of place where no request was out of reach!
We loved this hotel and will definitely return!

Dear lsharp28, Thank you for such kind words. We are so happy that you enjoyed our customer service, it's our very own recipe for the perfect holiday. We are always ready to go the distance and make sure that those little details are taken care of like your strollers being stored next to the front desk, so you'd have more space in a room that is already larger than the average for Rome. The bed was a dream? It's true, the mattresses are Simmons mattresses, top of the line, and will make you feel as if you're sleeping on a cloud. We love hosting families and share with them our enthusiasm for Rome. Our location, as you have seen is quite amazing and right within walking distance of most of Rome's main monuments. There are even less-known places that still have a lot of historical and artistic value but are less-known to the public: take the church of St Ignatius, from which takes its name your suite. Its dome was painted by Andrea Pozzo, a Jesuit, but, wait... there's no dome! It's all the work of Pozzo's painting, you will be sure that there's a dome there and then you'll look from outside... Ah the breakfast... thanks to you and all the guests who have commented about it, the praise has been so high that the breakfast buffet and the menu to order have become a famous point for Singer guests. Our chef prepares only with the best local ingredients and to the large buffet already present, he also adds a menu with dishes to order that can satisfy all needs (gluten free? dairy free? Vegan? just ask!). Did you and the children try our Nutella Pancakes? No? Well, this means that a second Singer Experience is of the essence. Carpe Diem Michela Visocchi - Hotelier

A small and well run hotel hidden in a side street close to the Piazza Venezia. The hotel is run with great personal attention. The staff are helpful and will attend to your every need . If you are looking for a busy hotel lobby with lots of facilities this is not the place for you. If you are however, looking for a personalized experience with great service this is for you. There is no large lobby, just a couple of sofas near to the front desk receiption. Whilst the restaurant is not large we never had to wait for a table at breakfast, there is an option to sit out on the roof terrace ( beautiful sunshine despite it being February) and if you just feel like sitting out there with a coffee later in the day, that is possible too. Rooms are spotless and there is a choice of sparkling /still water both sides of the bed. Plenty of nespresso capsules for the coffee machine and a variety of teas. In some of the rooms the bathrooms are not big but toiletries are replenished twice a day ( there is a turndown service at night as you would expect in a hotel of this level).
The hotel is right in the center of town. A few minutes walk from the Trevi fountain, the Pantheon and the Jewish Ghetto.

Dear provi, Thank you for your kind review. Well, you said the word. “Personalised experience”. That’s exactly what we want for our guests! It’s easy to just say hello and hand out a map but we know how many things there are to see in Rome and especially within walking distance of Singer Palace Hotel. In Rome there is so much to see and so little time to see it – many Romans live here and don’t know many of the things the city has to offer. Here at Singer Palace Hotel, the Experience Team will be at your disposal from the moment you book to help you plan all that you want to do according to your time and needs – and wishes of course! You mentioned the Jewish Ghetto? Did you know that not only does the Ghetto host the oldest Romans – families that have been Roman for many generations whereas other people might have come here much later – but it also has a lot of lovely restaurants where you can taste some dishes that are of the Jewish tradition, like “Carciofi alla Giudia” (artichokes Jewish-style) fried outside (their leaves become brown and crunchy as chips) but sweet and soft inside. Please, do come back soon, our rooftop terrace is amazing at all times of the year but now it’s spring and sunbathing while enjoying a cup of cappuccino and looking over Rome’s rooftops is an heavenly thought, imagine actually taking the time to do it… Carpe Diem Michela Visocchi – Hotelier

We always look for boutique hotels when on vacation and after speaking on the phone with the staff at the Singer Palace we knew we had found our hotel for our recent visit to Rome. From the moment we arrived we were treated to personalized attention in every aspect. The hotel itself is magnificent and has only been open about a year and a half. The building is spectacular and was originally the HQ for Singer Sewing Machines and built in the 1920s and was an architectural gem. The marble central staircase is the original and has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Our room was a gorgeous suite with 2 full bathrooms and was beautiful and elegant. The bed was extremely comfortable and the entire hotel exudes class and luxury. Breakfast was included and we had an outstanding array of choices, including fresh squeezed juices, espresso or anything else we could have thought of. The hotel is centrally located just afew minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon any number of Rome's other attractions and is located on a small quiet street just of the Via Del Corso.

Most of important of all are the fantastic staff at this hotel. Every one of them was so helpful and really made our stay special. We really appreciated Enrico, Marco, Jessica, Viviana and especially Anastasia, as well as Mohammed and Miraz. We can’t wait to return to this beautiful and luxurious boutique hotel that just gets everything right.

Dear 17MDR, What a wonderful comment you have left for us! What a wonderful explanation of our hotel’s history: the marble staircase is the original, indeed, and it is so iconic that it has appeared on many artbooks as symbol of the Deco style. We wanted to keep the elegance and beauty of this style when we went on with the restoration and the architects did not disappoint: we decided to forgo quantity over quality of the rooms and that is exactly why our rooms are so comfortable when it comes to many things, including the sound-proofed double-glass on the windows and, of course, the amazing Simmons mattresses, which will make you sleep as if on a cloud. Thank you for mentioning the staff: they are indeed wonderful, efficient and professional and kind and caring when it comes to our guests. Here you don’t have just hotel staff who passively waits for you to have a question but proactive people who are ready to help you with personalised suggestions made just for you. Enrico, Marco, Jessica, Viviana and especially Anastasia, Mohammed and Miraz are amazing and we are very proud of their work. The breakfast, you say? It is amazing as well, with a rich buffet with a large variety of choice that has additional choices even for people who have allergies and intolerances. What to say about our location? Within walking distance of most of the major monuments of Rome, we are right in the heart of the historical centre and everyone knows that when you’re in the heart of the centre of Rome, well, you’re in the centre of the world… When are you coming back? We can’t wait either… Carpe Diem Michela Visocchi – Hotelier

Dear travelgee, once we are on vacations it is important to be sure that the hotel we book is completely soundproof. Our sleep is sacrosant, of course. As you can read on most of the last reviews we had ( and as lulu795 confirms), our windows are now completely soundproof. The problem we have had one night was due to an unexpected party nearby that has slightly affected just one room. After our complains, the owner of the establishment beside us has taken some measures to avoid this problem in the future. We trust so. We will be happy to have you as soon as possible as our guest: we do love Ohio, have you heard about Lizzy Myers, from Lexington ? She knows me well, we went to visit Pope Francis together... Once you will be here I tell you the whole story ! Kindest regards Maurizio D. Customer Relations Manager

Are coffee machines available in the room?

Dear 999jennif, what a pleasure to answer a question concerning coffee... caffé, a true Italian must. In the room we have kettles with a selection of teas, instant coffee, etc. To have a good espresso but we just call it :"caffé", you may come to the fifth floor and we will be happy to offer it to you. If you want to have a short walk instead, go to " Sant'Eustachio Caffé", beyond the Pantheon, by the Italian Senate, a true myth. We are looking forward to meeting you ! And your caffé ... as well!
