A cheeky little weekend break was made with this beautiful hotel. Really closely situated to the main train terminal, lovely rooms and the girls on the desk could not have been more helpful. Loved it and will be our first port of call if we revisit Roma.

Can't be beat for about 40USD. Great beds, clean room, nice window view. Free breakfast beat another 4 star hotel I visited. Recommended for an affordable stay. Mini bar is not free but affordable, offers transport services. WiFi was very weak in Room 5 (1 bar), sat in a chair inside by the door (4-5 bars). Tricky to find this...

We arrived very late at night but found the street it was on quite easily. When you arrived on the outside it just looked like the front door to an apartment block. There were many buzzers and only a small standard buzzer sign that didnt really stand out from the rest but still it said what it needed to "...

So glad we chose to stay in this old, classic place instead of a standard modern hotel. It was a very short walk to the main station terminal and the tourist buses. The room was on a floor in an old apartment building so there's no bar etc, but we were more than happy with that.It was quite basic with a shower/wet...

This hotel was lovely and well worth it for the price. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough for us. The staff are very courteous and friendly and always greeted us around the lobby. Valeria who I believe is the manager is very efficient both on email and in person if you have any issues or questions. The rooms...

This is not a hotel, but a floor of rooms in an old building. There is a lift. The owners are tremendously helpful and accommodating. The rooms are small, but quite ample and the furnishings and the view of the garden are beautiful and upscale. The bathroom was great and well equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was plentiful and...

This hotel is great for its price. The room is clean, spacious and airy. The window overlooks to a court yard with trees. There are three of us and yet we feel roomy. The complimentary breakfast is very good. Both Baola (may not have spelled name right) and the other lady at the front desk, as well as Francisco the...

Hotel staff arranged for our transportation from airport to the hotel (35 minute ride for 45 euros) which is reasonable and convenient. Close to train station and bus stops. Clean rooms, good breakfast. Extremely courteous and friendly staff, willing to answer questions and give you good tips to assist in planning your day. Restaurant across the hotel offers good food...

We loved our stay at the Capitolium Rooms! We arrived straight from the airport and were worried that we wouldn't be able to check in as it was several hours before the stated check-in time, but they had our room all ready for us when we got there at 11:00 a.m. The room was clean, pretty, spacious (for a European...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
