Lovely people, room was a good size and nice and clean (I have high standards too!) really lovely bathroom. Great location 10 minutes walk from Colosseum. Would definitely recommend, and the pastries at breakfast are a lovely way to start the day with a coffee on the terrace

First thing, I need to say that I have never stayed at this property. So, my rating up there is not realistic but since I didn't want to affect their good score, I gave an excellent mark. The purpose of my review is to remark on the payment method. When I tried to book this property, it was mentioned that...

Such a wonderful experience! Everything at the Aventino Guest House was delightful. Alessandro welcomed me warmly upon check-in and showed me to a lovely, well-appointed room. I was so comfortable and felt so safe during my whole trip. The location is perfect for studying the ancient city and very close to several bus stops if you want to go farther....

My friend and I stayed here for a total of 6 nights. We couldn't be happier with our stay. The staff was attentive and made sure that every amenity was available to us. The rooms are clean and modern. The location is perfect 5 min walk to the train and 10-15 min walk to the Roman forum and Colosseum. Supermarket...

This guest house is about 5mins walk to the Roman forum and Palatine Hill and just a bit further to the Colosseum. The rooms are so clean and really nicely decorated and the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. We didn't have breakfast but you could have juice, water coffee, and biscuits 24 hours a day. We also got...

A very basic guest house that is within easy walking distance to all ancient rome's attractions. The rooms are comfortable and clean however if you are to be placed in the annex as we were i would strongly advise you take a travel kettle as getting to reception is a pain. The breakfast is very basic but this is a...

Horrible reception times When booking pay attention that no one will be available to open the door after 20:00. Due to delayed flights, I arrived to guesthouse around 24:00 and found a locked door. The so-called emergency phone number provided at the door was dead and I could not reach guesthouse concierge and reception via neither Facebook or phone. It...

I have stayed here for business a few times. The rooms are well spaced, there is good Wifi. The shower had good pressure. It is strictly speaking not a hotel since they don't have 24 hour staff -- but the staff in the day / evening are very friendly and pleasant. There is a basic breakfast spread which is good...

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.

“Room 107 with balcony and free and easy fresh oranges picking. Hotel agrees to such fun. Breakfast also serves those oranges. If you leave very early on departure day, you may ask for an exchange: take your breakfast on the morning you arrive. A good deal. Breakfast closes at 11:00 a.m. Guest are welcome to return to desk and get another free coffee! Talk to Aleksandro, the nice guy, who will share with you stories in town, ups and downs in hotelling and tourism, and more... Hope he will do more promotion to attract clients.”
