We were looking for a family-friendly apartment-style place near a train station and we found it! Fulvia is so great and welcoming - she gave us good recommendations on the restaurants and the transportation. The apartment is a short walk from the train station. Air conditioning is a great touch when you are in Rome during scorching heat like it...

We arrived in Rome as our first stop to travel in Europe, Fulvia is very sweet to text me for confirmation on the date of arrival and point out how we should reach the place. It's very near Termini train station and quiet on an overall basis. The breakfast is very delicious, Fulvia really dedicated to preparing it. She is...

Casa Romana was everything the tripadvisor reviews described and much more! I stayed here with a friend for 4 nights. It was very very clean, great location (4 minute walk to Rome's main station) and Fulvia made us feel so at home! We received breakfast every morning - a range of toast, yoghurt, fruit, muesli, cereal, coffee, juice to name...

My wife and I found this accommodation while looking for some reasonably priced accommodation in Rome (not an easy thing to do I would add!). The apartment is something of a cross between simply renting a flat and staying in a bed and breakfast and having never stayed in somewhere comparable I thought it worked very well. The room we...

This is definitely worth every cent. We arrived very late the evening and Fulvia was waiting for us even though she does not live on the premises. She was very helpful and always very eager to help. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome. Definitely value for money. Rooms are very tidy and clean.

We stayed in Fulvia's second location, Heart of Rome Guest House, for five days. This apartment was perfectly located three minutes from the Colosseum and right around the corner from the metro. The apartment was in a newly renovated and beautiful building which was quiet, clean and very safe. The neighbourhood had everything we could ever ask for and the...

Fulvia saved my life when I ended up stranded alone in Rome on Easter weekend after flight delays threw a monkey wrench into my travel plans. Everything was full and I was exhausted from 24 hours of travel. When I called Casa Roma, it was full but Fulvia met me and took me to a nearby B&B, going the extra...

Me and my husband stayed in Casa Romana for 5 nights in May 2011. We chose it as we were looking for a clean, affordable place near the Termini station. We were not disappointed. It is a mere 5 min. walk from the Termini from where had a very easy and convenient access to buses and metro. The neighbourhood is...

Fulvia and her son were very kind to us and thought of everything - we had a clean, boutique-chic and comfortable room and enjoyed having fruit from the market with other breakfast treats. Their local recommendation for dinner was great too. Stay here, you won't be sorry! The corner store on the road to Termini station also sells great gelato...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
