Detailed Reviews
I spent five nights at My Guest Roma and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Stefano is truly a super host. Even before I left for Rome he was in touch with me responding to all my enquires. The moment I arrived, Stefano made me feel extremely welcome and spent time providing information on travelling around Rome, not only from a tourist perspective but as a local. As a solo traveller I was grateful for his advice.
The single room suited my needs and was comfortable and extremely clean. A generous continental breakfast was available for a small charge and the breakfast room was equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a microwave and fridge for use at any time.
I liked the location of My Guest Roma in Nomentana, with a number of restaurants and a large supermarket very close by, and its easy access by public transport to the city centre and the Termini, which was just a short bus ride awayi.
I would definitely return to My Guest Roma...thanks to Stefano who certainly goes beyond the call of duty to ensure his guests have an enjoyable stay in the city that he loves.

My Guest Roma is a very reasonably priced B&B located in a fairly quiet neigbourhood around Piazza Bologna, with synagogues, kosher restaurants and shops close by. The Jewish ghetto (and many other sights) can be easily reached by an express bus that stops just around the corner.
The rooms were clean and very well equipped, the bathrooms were refurnished not long ago and looked almost new.
Stefano, the host, is extremely friendly and provides lots of helpful information and advice. We got a kosher breakfast with croissants from the nearby bakery and generous catered Shabbat meals complete with candles, wine and Kiddush cup. Stefano also thought of other things we needed for Shabbat (a belt for the keys, a timer for the light etc.) so that we didn't have to worry about anything.
We can wholeheartedly recommend My Guest Roma, especially (but not only) for observant Jewish travellers, for whom it is ideal.

The rooms are in a building full of 30's character, yet the rooms themselves are updated with all the modern conveniences. Stefano, the owner, is extremely kind and attentive. he gives you his phone number and you can whatsapp with anything that you're not satisfied with and he'll make sure to fit it to your liking.
highly recommended for the kosher traveler. has everything you will need, from covers on sensors and shabbat belt, to an option for shabbat food delivered to the location (the food wasn't amazing, but it's an extremely convenient and affordable)

My Guest Roma really made us feel like guests at a friend's house. From the pre-arrival contact to make our journey from the airport easy to all the tips and hints Stefano gave us, we had a fantastic time in Rome and that was all down to our choice of accommodation.
The family room was great for a family of four - comfy beds, rooms cleaned daily, a TV with Netflix for the kids in the evenings, a decent sized bathroom, a fridge, access to the kitchen and Stefano's mini-library of guidebooks, it had everything we needed and more. Although it's on a large road, the accommodation is at the back and so is really quiet and we all slept really well.
The location is great, too. Far enough away from the centre to feel quite relaxed and local, travelling to the main sights was easy once Stefano explained the best ways to get around. For instance, the metro stop is a ten minute walk away and the Collosseum is about seven stops along one metro line. It was easy to get buses as well. The area itself has some great restaurants which Stefano pointed us in the direction of, too. We ate fantastically well at very reasonable prices and soon realised it was because we basically followed Stefano's recommendations. His tip for breakfast turned into our local and we ate very well just across the street, too. Even Stefano's tips of things to do turned out to be awesome. The Basilica around the corner has catacombs that we got a private tour round and was just perfect for the ages of our kids. There is also a 24 hour supermarket across the street so we could stock up on any essentials at any time and keep the kids fuelled with snacks throughout the long days out in the city.
Thanks to Stefano's hospitality and advice, we had a fantastic time in Rome at a very reasonable price. The accommodation alone is a bargain but taking all the extra care Stefano takes of his guests into account, My Guest Roma is unbeatable value. We'd recommend it to anyone and will be back the next time we're in Rome.

Stefano the host & owner is wonderful, caring, very responsive to your needs. Personally cares for each guest & is a wealth of knowledge about Rome & it's environs. Perfect place for the kosher traveler. The well kept B&B is located in the upscale Piazza Bologna neighborhood which is the real heart of the frum Rome Jewish community. There is good public transport minutes from the facility, three synagogues, kollel and several nice and reasonable kosher restaurants. We give Stefano and his place two thumbs up

Highly recommended; nice rooms and a very good location just north of the city centre with plenty of buses + metro station. Stefano the owner attends personally to all possible requests even before the guests arrive to the B&B. Ideal place for those who keep Kosher; synagogues, kosher restaurants and shops within walking distance (15 minutes) or short bus ride. Kosher breakfast (in disposable plates) is offered on request.

we stayed in this hotel the week of December 5, 2022 and we were very well received by the owner who is unbeatable for his very warm welcome and his meticulousness in cleaning the rooms and his many valuable tips which helped us all a lot along our discovery of Rome. Without forgetting the concern he has to always want to satisfy his customers. we immediately felt at ease with him as if we had known each other for a long time. I highly recommend.

My Guest Roma is a very affordable, comfortable, kosher friendly B&B with a wonderfully attentive host Stefano who makes sure that you maximize your time and experience in Rome/Italy. B&B/city orientation, map, travel/tour tips are provided upon arrival. In addition, Stefano is always available for questions by WhatsApp.
For kosher Sabbath observing travelers, the in-hotel kosher food option for Shabbat was amazingly delicious and well worth it. On Shabbat. we walked to the Beth Shmuel Synagogue which was a vibrant and authentic Sephardi shul !
Getting from the B&B to the high speed trains to other cities (via Roma Termini or Roma Tiburtina) is easy enough. Over our five weekdays in Italy, we spent two days in Rome, and one day each in Trani/Bari, Venice/Padua (stayed overnight), and in Florence. My Guest Roma was a great base to travel from.

Stefano is an incredible host. He was very friendly, great to communicate with, and accommodating. He even suggested different routes we can take to tour Rome, and helped us navigate the public transport here. No matter the question he was happy to help. The room itself was beautiful and comfortable and just what we needed. The place was especially great because as Jews we are limited in what we can use on Saturdays and he supplied us with everything we need, and also offers catered meals for a reasonable price. It was an amazing experience, we definitely recommend, and look forward to coming again!!!

My guest Roma is a simple b&b, a great value for money and a great super friendly host, Stefano, who provides you with all the information about the city and neighborhood and how to get around.
The rooms have a combination of old and new furniture and are very clean.
The area around has some good restaurants, cafes and gelato (lower prices compared to the more touristy areas) and has good connections by bus to Termini station or the centre of the city (around the corner). Short walk brings you also to Bologna square metro B station.
I would reccomend it to all travellers.

I believe all the rooms have a private bathroom (I can attest that the apartment and the rooms with twin beds have private bathrooms). Breakfast is included.
I am sure that Stefano will be able to answer all of your questions. His email responses almost always arrive within two days.
Dear Julie,
Thank you for you interest in My Guest Roma.
I am pleased to reassure there are no cats on the premises. May I ask you over which dates you are thinking on visiting Rome?
Should you wish to fill the form and send a request we will glaldy reply with a tailored offer.
My kindest regards
Stefano
Dear Madam,
No concern: My Guest Roma is very well connected with Termini rail station. You may catch the 90 Express bus (direction: TO LARGO LABIA) and get off after 4 stops (NOMENTANA/XXI APRILE stop). Turn right on Viale XXI Aprile (=21st April str.)and walk along the boulevard for about 100 meters: you will find My Guest Roma in the 4° building (number #12) on your right hand side.
Please know, from Termini Station additional bus lines (such as 310 bus or N13 nocturnal) and metro (B and B1) are available. However they do not drop you off as close.
As for bus tickets they are pretty cheap; buy them prior to get on the bus: drivers don’t sell them and only new buses have tickets machine (in case, at present, € 1,50/person in coins are needed). Even so tickets are available at tobacco store/newspapers kiosk in town or inside metro and train stations.
Hoping I will have the pleasure meet you in person and to have you over, I wish you a great day ahead.
Stefano - My Guest Roma
The guest room we stayed in was on the second floor . There's an elevator .
Yes, there are stairs to the room we had, but maybe there are others with a lift. I didn't inqure about that.
You can get to the central bus station by bus from Via Nomentana. Stefano is very helpful with these things.
