We have just returned from a 4 day break in Rome and this hotel was second to none. Clean, spacious, very reasonable bar, excellant food, great location for sights and vending machines that are not there to rip you off. Nothing negative to say, we will definatly be returning.

Great location, friendly staff, spotlessly clean modern and spacious rooms and delicious food - what more could we ask for? We stayed in a family room which was v spacious (even with a double, single, couch bed) and had a daily replenished supply of water, tea coffee and biscuits (v handy to stash in the bags for sightseeing) as well...

Great hotel choice for our visit to Rome. Rooms clean , fresh & comfy. When we arrived our booking agent had cancelled our booking. Despite this the reception staff sorted out a room for us & the hotel manager saw us the next day & reassured us she wold fix it, she did. (cancellation due to agents technical fault) All...

We stayed at this hotel in late January. We found the hotel to be very modern, clean and no hassle. The co-living area was well designed and we enjoyed a coffee each night. The hotel was also very accommodating of our requests such as early check-in, bowls for breakfast and directions. We were also upgraded when we arrived. I liked...

I have recently returned from a week's holiday in Rome staying at the iQ. It was a fantastic hotel. Located a few minutes walk from the metro and termini station and about 15 minutes walk from major attractions like the colosseum. The hotel itself is very modern and clean. Housekeeping is impeccable, we returned each day to a freshly stocked...

We've just returned home (in storm Doris, never again) from a wonderful stay in the IQ Roma hotel. We can't praise this hotel enough. We got a direct taxi from Ciampino airport which was €40 ( ask how much your taxi will be then negotiate your price) journey was approx 40 mins. Once we arrived we we're greeted with a...

An immaculate hotel with helpful and welcoming staff. The rooms are spacious, great beds and bathrooms. They make an effort to go the extra mile, providing a plentiful supply of water, tea bags, coffee and biscuits, replenished everyday. The communal living area and restaurant bar is comfortable with quality and affordable food and drink. There are also chilled fridges where...

As a mature couple who have stayed in quite a few different hotels, the IQ hotel rates very highly on our list! From first entering, the reception staff are professional, friendly and welcoming. The room was a good size, had a good firm mattress ( with an opportunity to change if it wasn't to your liking), tea and coffee facilities,...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
IQ is a 4-star hotel, with a twist! Located in downtown Rome, just a short 15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain or the Colosseum and with Repubblica metro station just 200 metres away, hotels don't get much central than this. IQ guests enjoy free Wi-Fi connection throughout the hotel, a lovely terrace where to unwind overlooking the Opera House, and free access to our gym and sauna. We believe in tailor-made hospitality, so there are vending machines in virtually every floor, where you can buy yourself a bottle of wine, a pack of crisps, a tooth-brush or even an umbrella (not that you'll need it often!), All at very competitive prices. Now that you've found us... Welcome to a whole new hotel experience! IQ STAFF ... more   less
